Sennheiser E 904 5-stars Reviews
Good to replace 604
Very nice mic, metal construction to replace my broken old 604âs
Excellent microphone
What's to say, it is an excellent product. Great built unlike it's predecessor 604 which was made of plastic - this one is made of metal alloy and the metal grill really protects it from spastic drummers. The sound is great specially at the 5k area. Great for metal drum sound, very snappy yet can still deliver low end on floor toms with some "help" on the 50hz.
Great mic with professional results
This microphone was a surprise, due to its low pricing, as it can record various toms with precision and great clarity. The frequency response is great for the price of the microphone and I would recommend these for any studio/live setting.
The best
This is one of the best drum mic i ever had
practical, affordable, solid, good sound. a classic on stage for good reasons...
Sennheiser for every Tom, Dick & Harry
Another exceptional product by Sennheiser, well worth your time.
Sound Engineer favourite
This is a great sounding dynamic mic. A higher quality than the e604. Sounds better. Metal casing. Handy clamp, no stand needed.
One of the best sounding drum mics there are.
A great microphone. Sometimes too honest
Love these!
Upgraded from the 604, I love these mics! Great on toms.
Sennheiser E 904
Simply the best and easiest tom microphone ever built
Very good price quality ratio
I advise
Great microphone
Very good microphone, not only for the drums.
Another Great Sennheiser product!
I purchased these for use on toms or as snare bottom when I mic up kits. Having used e604's often I was very impressed with these, they sound warmer and give a beefier tone.
The build quality is excellent and the sennheiser clamps make fitting to drums really easy.
I use this microphone on toms as an alternative for MD421 or as a better E604.
PROS : well build, small, good sound.
CONS: none
Quare Job!
I purchased four of these in 2013 when I decided to buy myself a touring mic package along with two Se1A's for overheads, a sennheiser e901 for kick and a beyerdynamic mc930 for hi hats.
Using the E904s for Snare and three Toms gave me just what I wanted. They captured the tone of the rock Kit perfectly in every circumstance, I have since used them in all types of genres when I'm mixing and really couldn't fault them.
Thankfully working with good Drummers these mics have virtually have no sign of wear or tear and the clamps have been though hundreds of gigs since and have not let me down yet. Definitely a great mic.
All as you would expect
A good all round microphone. Every drummer has loved the sound of their kit since using them. They are very easy to fit and are subtle enough not be noticed. They are also solid enough to take a drum stick swipe. Great Microphone.
