Shure SE215-CL 5-stars Reviews
Shure SE215-CL
Good choice for a gigging musician.
I'm a drummer and I use these for both gigs and in the studio with no complaints. They do exactly what they're supposed to do. I'd definitely recommend them.
Absolute Unit of IEM
I know this is an industry standard for IEMs. I know these are single driver IEMs but with great sound. Members in my bands have purchased other earphones (like KZ's) and they have already purchased more than 4-5 of those (because of a failure) but this still work great after 3 years of daily usage. Great for IEM, mixing, listening to music.
I am a drummer and use this for monitoring and click track both in rehearsals and live. As I don't need anything fancy, just decent enough sound isolation and accurate enough sound playback they are a great fit.
Used mine for over 2 years without any issue... stepped on them a couple of times during this period. One connector finally snapped, got a new pair.
Not very bright highs, but overall great for the price, gets the job done.
Massively Improved Performance
My first experience with in-ears so I don't have anything to compare them to, but using these has made singing live SO much easier. If you're debating whether to make the switch yourself, do it! Will never go back to stage monitors.
Great for the price
I have owned my In-ear headphones for almost 3 years now and have used them heavily. I have only had to replace the cable once before and that was after 2 UK tours, hundreds of practice sessions and while mixing some college studio sessions. They withstand sweat and some tugging. The replaceable earbuds are brilliant. I used 1 set of the foam tips for 3 years and have finally changed them to the rubber ones provided with the initial purchase.
The only con is the fact that if you wear them for more than 2-3 hours, they get a little uncomfortable. I have mainly had this discomfort while using them while laying on my side with the earbuds in my ear. It would also be nice if the cable was less than 50% of the original purchase price since £80 for a replacement cable for earbuds that were around £125 is a bit high.
Overall, these have withstood heavy usage in live, studio, day-to-day, and even gym scenarios.
The sound quality is good enough to mix tracks on somehow and the noise isolation can make a drum kit near silent.
Buy these in-ears if you want affordable professional quality.
Good value
Good value, good product, highly recommended.
Outstanding Clarity
Outstanding Clarity, firm attach to the ears
Bought them for the second time
I got used to them, I know there's better stuff out there but for it's price does the job pretty well, on my first pair that I used for two seasons I lose contact with one side. (L side cracks)
However to use it on a daily and jump everywhere with it I think that's what you can expect.
best IEM so far
rugged, great sound. highly recommend.
Classic in-ears
I use it for live monitoring. It isolates well and the sound quality is good. The only thing is that it's a bit hard to wear sometimes, like the wires are a bit rigid and if you remove it for a couple of seconds between the songs to chat to a band mate, it takes a bit of time to put it back on which can be a problem on stage.
Great headphones for this money
I'm a guitar player and these headphones are great for me as a monitoring. Relationship: price - money, great. Recommend.
One of many
I used many sets of this model and I must admit, they are not solid and designed to work on a professional stage. I use them as a backup monitor headphones, but they're even not in hi-fi department. However, you may use them as your first IEM.
Best price/quality In-ear headphones
When my band switched from the classic wedges to the IEM systems, we wanted to get the same headphones, so we bought 5 pairs of Shure SE215-CL.
It sounds great for the money and in this price range it can't be beaten.
It comes with foam and sillicone ear pieces in different sizes.
If you're monitoring relies on accurate low frequency reproduction then you might feel the need for the models with more than 1 driver.
After a while, the foam ear pieces will feel like they're not insulating as good as they did in the beggining. The tricks is to wash them with warm water and let them dry. They'll feel like new.
Despite rumors, the cable is really good quality. In this price range I think it deservers 5 out of 5 stars in every category.
good monitors
I'm using them when I play drums and isolate the noise very well.
I had some issues with the comfort, at the beginning but now it's fine (after 6 months of use)
Overall great quality
Using them for in-ear stage monitoring and the feedback is good so far.
The quality provided for the price is great.
Great sounding!
Love these, great for personal music too. My only area to improve would be to have an in line connector in the cable somewhere just before the y split. You can detach at the ear piece but I don’t like doing it as worried about breaking them, but that’s a personal preference thing, they sound great and a great range of rubber and foam plug liners to get a good fit in my ears. The cable is re enforced over the ear so you can bend it to shape. Fantastic sounding plugs at a fraction of the cost of pre moulds
Great monitors
I always had trouble with in-ear headphones, as I found them to be uncomfortable in general. I gave Shure a try and have no regrets. Ear fatigue is minimal and I usually use these monitors for about 3 hours straight; they isolate sound great. Great product overall, delivers what it promises.
