Shure SM 7 B 5-stars Reviews
Lovely Mic
I have found this to be a great mic, especially if you don't have a great room to record in, it records less of the room and more of what is in front of it.
prises
i love the item easy to handle so cheep
THE dynamic mic
No need for introduction, this mic has made history! keep in mind, you need a good preamp to make it work properly, due to his very low sensibility!
Love this microphone
I really love this microphone, for podcast and singing sounds great. Requires a bit of work to make it sit well in a mix due to it's rather dark nature, but nothing you can't work around.
Don't need anything else
i had the chance to use it while i gave interviews, and i really liked the way it sounds. I was curious how it works if i use it to record my songs, so i bought one. Since then i use it more than my condenser mic. It adds some crisp and smokyness to my voice.
this is the last micrphone u will buy
best broadcasting microphone
its a legend
Great Mic! (one annoying design flaw)
The ratings speak for themselves. This mic is fantastic, so versatile. One thing that's really annoying the the placement of the XLR connector. It's just in an awkward spot, and if you're connecting it to a table stand (and with a Fethead, in my case) it's just kind of awkward. Easy to look past it though, 10/10 otherwise.
Best all around mic for Streaming and Video
If you have to record in a large and mostly untreated room, this mic is exceptional at making you sound like you're in a much higher treated environment than reality.
It can take some time to dial in the mic to your voice, especially if you're new to the set-up but once you do it's rock solid and will save you hours of time with removing niggling noises and room sound from recording and thus saving you time for post processing.
I use this with a goxlr to stream and does not need a pre-amp, not even a fethead. The Goxlr is more than enough and I have to even tone down the amount of power I send to it. I use this mic to do video and voice overs with and it's a true champion of multi purpose. Like with any mic though, this does especially suffer at longer distances from the recording source.
I did see some concerns about people worrying this would introduce bass into peoples voice, it can emphasise what is there, but will actually make even the most high pitched voice calmer and smoother, including womens voice.
The Mic to do all things!!
This Mic is amazing! I use this Mic for everything! Whether that is vocals, sax, acoustic piano, voice overs, you name it! I have found that this microphone always gives me what I want and that is brilliant, crisp sound quality.
I don't have many cons for this (if any at all!) so although this is a pricey mic, if you go for it, I am confident you will be happy with the Shure SM7B.
I haven't needed to use a phetamp yet to boost the signal however it does need a high gain, but I am yet to hear a decrease in sound because of it!
Top quality microphone, try the rest, but buy the best
Having used various microphones and setups over the years, this microphone really packs a punch. It has low end gain, so a fethead/phantom power is required. But once set up it has extremely crisp and subtle effects.
I use it for live streaming and it has revolutionised my sound. The ability to use it while playing acoustic guitar, while not picking up the full sounds of acoustic is impressive.
This is a top class microphone, well worth the investment.
The legendary Shure SM7B delivers.
There is not much to tell about this microphone that hasn't been said before. This is one of the best microphones out there for the price. It's built like a tank so if it's taken care of, it can last a lifetime. I like it so much that sometimes I just talk in it because it turns my voice into butter.
I paired this with the SSL 2+ interface so I wouldn't have to use a Cloudlifter and it's pretty straight forward. Plug it in and record.
Really nice mic
Nice sound and its not to sensitive... It takes some phantom power for it not to be to low in picking up sound but other than that its a solid choice
Nice Mic
I'm using it for the broadcast and other recording jobs. This is the legend mic. Everybody can buy.
by far the best dynamic mic for recording metal vocals!!
Wonderful performance
This’s exactly what I was looking for , great performance great sound quality
great
brilliant sound very happy with this
very good
it's good thing and i'm very happy with it
More than enough from Gaming and streaming.
Shure sm7b are a good mic, useful to have and worth buying. The output is quite low so your preamp will need to have good gain before getting noisey. Some people on GS seem to think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread, but in my opinion they are good.
Once you get a good gain enjoy giving a nice crisp sound of your voice to whoever listening.
Classic mic
I use it for voiceover work.
You see this being used everywhere for a good reason. Excellent build quality (it's heavy), sound quality, plosive rejection, and low noise.
Low output, so you will might need to pair it with something like the Fethead.
best mic i have used
its one of the best mic i have used so far and its easy to setup and if you buy a go xlr or go xlr mini you dont need a cloud lifter or fetamp for atleast streaming and talking to friends. i will recomend the microphone to people who want a clean and good sounding mic that dont pick up backround noice. i have my fan blowing air at the mic and i cant hear it in recording.
