Industry standard mic

Good quality, robust microphone with good sound.

It handles the very loud environment well (on stage, near to drum or guitar amp). Several cheaper mics start to distort the voice in loud environment. Handling noise is very little.

You can buy fairly good mics for half the price of this, but it does not accidentally become a legend. You not necessarily will hear a big difference in sound. But when you use it in live, loud, and sometimes in rough situations, you will see and understand the full picture better.

I recommend it.

For beginners and pros alike

I've had a few of this microphones before, they never disappoint and Shure is keeping the same quality for decades now. Is a must have if you like using your voice for music.

I have been using SM58's live and in studio for many years. They are a top class vocal microphone with a great dynamic range. Used in Studio for vocals when tracking full bands, vocal mic does not pickup bleed from drums or other instruments as much as my SM7B.

Wonderful Mic, Wonderful Quality.

I really like the microphone, It has this special feature which makes your voice sounds clear and the most feature I like is the Cardioid Directivity,

I hope next time they add XLR cable in the microphone box.

No Need

Absolutely nothing I can say that hasn't already been said about this wonderful essential toolkit microphone. Kids should get one free when they start school.

Classic mic

This is a well earned classic amongst mics. I use it for everything going from vocals to kick drums but mostly for micing my guitar cab.

Classic!

Not really much to say, is there? It's a classic and there's a reason for that. There are cheaper alternatives if needed but if you can afford it, this is the way to go.

The best mic I've had

Since I've bought it I've used almost everyday in my homestudio.

Not only for the voice, but for recording instruments and amps.

Simply the best.

Excellent sound and durability.

Perfect handheld podcast microphone

I was looking for a pair of handheld microphones for on-the-go podcast. What separated this from the rest of similar price range microphones, was the handling noise rejection and sound.

I really like the sound profile of this microphone. It sounds great when you listen to it live with headphones. I also like to add a bit more bass in post to get that perfect "studio radio/podcast" sound feel. Easy!

The handling noise rejection is extremely good. I don't use stands for my podcasts, since that'd require carrying microphone stands and a table on location, which is not always available. Me and a guest would just sit on whatever chairs or sofas are available and make ourselves comfortable. Holding the microphone is also fun.

If you want to save $50 for the same sound quality, you can, but you lose the low handling noise, which for me is worth it.

Durability is well-known and I don't need to worry about breaking this.

You get a carrying pouch for it, which is very useful. I wish it was a smaller.

If I had to say something negative about the microphone, then it'd be the weight. It's a little heavy.

Unquestionable Mic

It's called legendary for a reason.

The quality is perfect, feels robust and durable and also comes in a neat lil bag for the mic.

Any vocalist would fall in love with it.
