Fantastic
So impressed with this mixer I just ordered another one
mix is low budget components, wi fi and network is crashing every few minutes, phantom power on mic has noise distorsion witouth conected mic.....
software is best and only what working on mixer, offcourse, when you can conect on mixer...
Great versatility
I use it manly for broadcasting sound from remote location, great to use it with remote LAN.
Capable of turning easily from one to another of various tasks.
Great addition to my hire stock
Use it in speech re-inforcemt systems, works great with my wireless Mic systems. Very easy to setup, good build quality,(as you would expect from Soundcraft), great UI, good EQ, usb record function very useful. I find it very difficult to fault for the price, am used to working with desks costing many times this price, and this gives excellent value for money.
Awesome compact digital mixer
Very good compact digital mixer for small gigs, easy to use with very user-friendly GUI.
Great versatile and affordable digital mixer
We've been using this mixer for 2 months... no problems for now, only great experience.
It is very usable, and easy to understand and use. It runs very smoothly and response is very fast. The possibility to run mains with 4 independent auxes was one of the reasons why we purchased this amp and we are very happy with it. We can also pair the auxes together to reach stereo out. It is packed with great features to use.
There is only one issue that we managed to solve - gain structure. It is hard to reach ideal 0 - unity gain. The reason is that after we set up levels to wanted, you still have to turn up volume on knobs that are on the mixer itself. After reading a few reviews and testing the mixer itself, we can advice to reach unity level by turning the knobs almost all the way up, approximately to 2/3 of full volume. This way we get the best possible sound. Another issue that we also managed to solve is that the mixer doesn't have any RCA outputs which comes handy if the club has a PA that you can connect with only via RCA cables.
All in all it is a great mxer for the money and we are sure that most of the people who are thinking of getting one will be happy with it after the purchase.
Good, but not enough!
Preamps are not good enough. There is noise. Reverb is average. No midi management. Guitar simulation sound very bad. etc.
Small but powerful
Soundcraft have certainly made a nearly perfect mixer. The sound quality is on point, and the feature set is amazing.
The fact it uses a web based app makes using the mixer snappy and easy to control from anywhere in the room.
I don't like that the mixer has physical controllers for the main outputs.
I totally recommend this mixer but i would consider the Ui16 purly because i wish i had more channels.

Bang for your buck
I wanted to ditch our Allen & Heath desk in favour of something smaller an lighter, so I decided on this. Does exactly what I need it to do. The only slight annoyance i've had is that the headphone outs only seem to work when there is also a main out also connected. Other than that, it's top notch.
Brilliant mixer at a great price
Can't believe how affordable these are. If you can make do without physical control of levels, the features packed into this are unmatched at this price. I've had no problems with the wifi or other aspects, and the recent addition of recording capability is a welcome update.
Absolutely unbelievable but has a mojar flaw.
This is a 2nd review of the Ui after using it for a while.
On my first review I said that the mixer is fantastic, yes it still is. BUT here's the downside..
There can be an issue with wifi signal strength and loss of signal and this happens on most units by the looks of things with some owners plugging in external routers to overcome this problem or having to use a wire to connect.
The bigger issue is a lock up or crash of the unit where all sound is lost until the unit is rebooted, this can happen at any time and with warning. Some owners have had no problems at all yet others have had to have there's exchanged as the frequency of lockup is too much.
If Soundcraft can sort this problem out then this is one excellent mixer but until then you'll be rolling the dice every time you use it and if you're on a paid gig you may not want to run the risk.
Wonderful!
This is an amazing mixer. Good pres, full dynamics & proper parametric eq on every channel, global verb, chorus and delay, and 31 band graphic on all the major outs.
It's quiet, and tiny. Also you can connect to it from anything with WiFi and a browser.
It has a full music file player (for backing tracks or between-track music) and your settings for the whole mixer can be saved and recalled.
It really is a step change in small mixer technology, and great quality. It feels roadworthy. Very highly recommended.
Small with big characteristics !
O.K, there are no buttons and sliders but you have parametric eqs , dynamics and effects , to each one channel plus to the master and aux lines. The sound is very good , not great and there is a little noise when the channel gain is high (i hope it will be improved with a future upgrade). The user interface is very easy , fast , clever and accurate. If you can afford the difference prefer the ui16 model with more inputs and outputs.
