Craftmanship issues

Unfortunate that this MixDream XP was broken out of the box. Mono/Stereo switch is stuck and can't be released on channel 7/8. Channels 1-8 right side has volume drop on right side so those channel are unusable. Channels 9-16 function correctly and sound okay. I am disappointed with the response from service department as my messages seem to be unanswered and as an international buyer this is troubling. I own several SPL products and have never had an issue prior but you are only as good as what happens when there is an issue.

Great as an extension to other mixers

I chose this item to extend the summing capabilities of my SSL SiX and it does the job wonderfully. Very clean sounding (using Ferrofish pulse 16 mx as my converter...main interface is RME Fireface UFX+) and I run it into one of the EXT inputs of the SiX giving me a total of 4 Mono channels and 11 stereo pairs...I may even get another one down the road...super high headroom also! Fantastic.

Mixing engineer and producer Josh Goodwin, who works with artists like Selena Gomez, Dua Lipa, Justin Bieber, still uses the sum

Specially designed 60 volt operational amplifiers deliver a very clear, neutral, stereo sound without coloration, there are no transformers at the output, no vacuum tubes, but there is 125 db dynamic range, this is the cleanest combiner in the world, mixing engineer and producer Josh Goodwin, who works with artists like Selena Gomez, Dua Lipa, Justin Bieber, still uses the summing mixer SPL MixDream. SPL MixDream is the older brother of SPL Mixdream XP, there is no difference in sound between mixdreams and mixdreams XP

SPL MixDream XP

Great toy for those who want that anlog solid sound. But is not so cheap. You can add 2 more units for pro usage. From recent usage my unit has gone to heaven :*( But I believe that it could be fixed. :) I think that I need proper fuse to change... If someone have proper fuse, I will happy to use my DreamMixer again! :)

No nonsense mixer

This summing mixer is great. Using this with SPL Madison I feel it gives a bit of that console sound that is lacking with summing in the box. Things gel together better. Very happy camper here!
