Bright compact and versatile units which are super

I have not found a unit that is this compact and that has a very bright punch. and having 8 blocks of colour is flexible the built in macros are super sexy and great for quickly producing interesting looks

Yes, finally!

I've had these over a year now and they have travelled well and continue to work great.

I use them in a function band every week and I hang them from a mic stand either side of the drummer synced together.

Sound to light is great and they came with all required brackets.

Very effective

I use these for uplighting the back of the stage for my function band. They are easy to carry, set up, and operate. They look great on white walls or the chiffon many wedding marquees are decorated with. They can also function daisy chained together with a standard xlr if necessary.

I love it

Even when set to do its own thing this is one bright led. Used it in a nerf war battle and it was the only light source we needed to fill a large marquee.

DMX control opens a whole wealth of features and this is really an amazing light when paired so buy 2!!

Quality is good and it comes with a removable iec connector.

The price of this offers exceptional value. It can be used as a colour fill at the back of a stage, and its own music to light offers quite an entertaining show. Lots to play with.

Can not really comment on lifespan as only had it a year at the time of writing this.

Possibly the best value you can get for your money

At this price I am blown away by this light and all it's features! I bought four of these lights in a pack and what a difference they have made to my band's lighting show. The option to choose the DMX Channel mode means it is a versatile fixture. The light comes with two sets of floor stands which are great to use when you want to outline a stage. For the best effect however, I recommend getting some clamps for them and rigging these lights down from a truss in lines. You can create some amazing patterns with the chases and it offers really different lighting looks which will give your stage character. Do not be worried about these lights not being bright enough either! Their colours are rich and the brightness is fantastic. If you cant afford a LED screen with visuals for your band, these LED Bars will do a great job at adding some movement to your backdrop. I will definitely be getting more of these lights in the future! The value for money is outstanding, another high quality and well built product from Stairville, what more could you want?

Works well, good value

Pro: Very bright, reliable, works well. Doesn't seem to give off any noisy RF signals that could adversely affect a signal chain.

Con: Needs to be quite close to the sound source to work well in sound controlled automatic show mode. Picks up bass more than treble.

Fantastic lighting bar!

This is a very handy, versatile lighting bar for any stage. We play weddings and bar gigs and have used this to keep guests from climbing on the stage..and lighting the dance floor. You can also mount it horizontally on a truss stand etc for a different lighting effect, for stage or audience. It has a good wide cover, and some really awesome programme effects. Good buy.. Possibly a little fragile for heavy duty gigs..as purs has cracked..but i guess a drunk wedding guest stood on it... Or perhpas damaged in transit, so by some kind of bag or mic stand bag to carry it.

Love this light!

I can't recommend this highly enough. For this incredibly low price, you get a light with fantastic features and a really high output. I have bought 4 of these, and used them in theatre, discos, band lighting and light shows as well as other situations which they have been perfect for all of! Power linking is a big bonus, and makes the setup tidier and easier every time. On one of the four, there are a couple of LEDs that have stopped working, but that isn't a big issue - and wouldn't be noticeable unless you were specifically looking like I was! I have had many comments about how good they look, and love the fact that you can control each of the 8 sections individually (I've programmed some chases on them that looked really nice). I may well be buying some more in the near future - and strongly suggest that anyone thinking about it does the same!

Seriously bright

I have a pair of these. We aimed it at the audience, but we had to change it's angle since it was blinding. So these are bright, the sound to light is perfect! Really good light, I recommend it!

The build quality is great, the housing of this unit is massive.

I dropped them on the first day (:D), no issues, nothing cracked.

Cannot comment on lifespan, since I had it only for a week.

Usefull Piece Of Kit

I reguarly DJ at functions and this bar has became an integral part of my set up making the whole set-up look much more professional. Its compatibility with a DMX controller means I am able to use it in conjuction with with other LED light I have in my set up. Its pre-sets also make this product useful for any situation

I've had PAR LED floods before, and this LED bar also doesn't disappoint

its really bright, but can be dimmed in certain modes

it has several built in auto options and can also be controlled via midi

light spread and throw is good

a couple of these would be more than enough for a regular pub gig

Was looking for something compact with minimum intrusion and at a low cost. Have to say that so far I'm very pleased .

The quality of the casing for the money is very good despite being light. They're very simple to set up and as I just place them on the floor behind the band they provide good light 'washes' without being intrusive .

I just leave them on auto/sound activated sometimes as a pair with one slaved or as two independent units. Great for adding a bit of ambience and colour to the performance without giving the band or the audience a headache !

Can't comment yet on the lifespan (but had to rate it) as they're too new but hopefully they're robust enough to stand up to some rough and tumble and at very low power consumption I'm hoping they won't fry themselves.

Absolutely Great!

This Stairville LED Bar is fantastic. I use it for many different applications including uplighting internal and external walls of buildings, washing stages and for pixel mapping. This LED Bar works well in all of these situations and performs well. It has many built in programs and chases, which mean that it can easily be plugged into power and used without any DMX programming etc. In these modes, multiple bars can be synchronized together by using Master/Slave.

As well as the built in programs, the Bar can also be controlled over DMX. The onboard screen allows you to choose the DMX address of the fixture as well as choose how many DMX channels you want the bar to use. (2 Channel, 3 Channel, 5 Channel and 24 Channel). I personally always use 24 Channel mode so that I have more control over the bar, however in testing all the others work well.

The position of the IEC In and Out ports on the back of the bar is great. In is on one end of the bar and Out on the other, reducing the mess of cables when uplighting. It would be good if the DMX ports were like this too, instead of in the middle of the bar like they are currently.

Another con is that when using the onboard screen and buttons, the buttons feel quite loose, like they are going to fall off, although if I'm using DMX and have set the address, I don't need to use the buttons to control the bar.

Stairville led bar

I got the stairville led bar for my drum kit, it is in front of my kick drum pointing upwards the effect is great I just set it to one setting that goes through a lot of different effects, nice and light to carry ha ha, and for the price a great add on for any band or dj.
