Stairville LED Flood Panel 150 40° RGB 4-stars Reviews
Good for the price
I bought 4 of these a couple of years ago. Things I like 1. Simple to use 2. DMX capable 3. Useful IR remote control 4. Stand alone mode is fine Things that could be better 1. Not very bright so get washed out a bit in some circumstances 2. Colours are a it basic and brightness isnât consistent. However, and as per the title, they are very good for the price and Iâve used these on all kinds of different events from events at ancient monuments through to rock n roll gigs. Easy to deploy, flexible etc.
Narrow and poor blending
These may well be good value to 'throw a bit of light' but compared to the next, slightly more expensive model they are not worth it. Both profess to have a 40 degree beam, but this seems much, much narrower than the other. Colour blending is also not good - there is a ring which is well mixed but the centre of the beam is not.
exceptional lighting for supermarkets
Konsum at Fusion used Stairville lighting to bring brightness to the bananas and other fruits and articles and illuminate the fabulous internal design of the circus tent ...
Great for the price
Good for background stage lights and detail lighting. Narrow light beam.
Excellent for the price.
Very strong build apart from the mounting bracket which I feel if not careful can bend easily. Okay colour mixing capabilities and illumination. Overall, an excellent fixture for the price and I would have no hesitation to buy again.
Nice and bright
A great little unit for small gigs.
Purchased a couple of these for use at pub gigs and they do the job very nicely. Even used outdoors, they're bright enough to light us up.
Pros
Very bright
Not expensive
Easy enough to set up
Cons
A bit lightweight
Power cord was very short - I ended up buying a couple of longer ones.
Overall, extremely good value for money. A good buy.
Great value for the price. Compact and easy to transport.
Handy and neat.
Handy and compact. Just use them on sound to light settings with a band. Fold up nice and small which was really what I wanted
Good Job for the price
Good quality, and enough powerful.
Great value
The front plastic is a little to week.
Basic but good.
Not expensive but definitely worth having if you only have a small budget. A robust product, with a decent range of automatic programmes, including sound activated. Plus you can connect together using DMX cables, so that one controls the other (in a Master-Slave setup). It's even possible to use with a DMX controller (I think), but if you've money for a DMX controller, you'll probably have enough for better lights too. We've bought bigger/better lights since purchasing this product, but still incorporate them in the setup.
Afordable led light. I use 2 pcs as front light for band, and mount them to my speakers (IQ12 has holes M10). However, not expensive RGB led light will do the job (if we are talking about small gigs)
Decent Lights at a good price
These are good lights at a good price.
The light distribution is tight and bright as described i think the 40 degrees is accurate.
The mounting arm is good quality and while the locking nuts are plastic the do not feel cheap.
DMX controls work fine, and after 100+ hours of usage there is no burnt out LEDs.
My criticisms are the control panel is a little flimsy and the red LEDs on their own do not produce as bright light as the other colours. There is a lack of clarity and depth to the red LEDS.
Great sollution for small local bar bands or solo artists
I was looking for a simple way to create a 'lightshow' to go with my solo acoustic performances. I use ONSONG ( amazing app) to have my texts digitally on Ipad where I flip pages with my footswitch. Onsong also lets you creat 'light scenes' thru DMX. This is exactly what it does. My first test are ok. The dimming of the lights and color changes tend to be slighty out of time, but so far I can not tell what the reason is for this. Anyway - for this money, this is a great product. Just do not expect to create a pink-floyd'ish light show with it. For ambiance light to support your gig, it is fantastic.
Some limitations, but at this price? Hard to beat!
I picked up four of these for use with my live band, and they are MUCH smaller than the old cans we used to have; that alone means less space needed onstage and less space taken up in vehicles.
They are fully DMX, and will accept a controller, master\slave settings and also have auto settings as well. This makes them super versatile for different stages and spaces.
I have them on the floor, or clamp them to speaker stands when space is really tight. They would also mount to T bar stands etc. They pack down nice and efficiently, and I have used them for years without issues.
The negatives; they don't have a huge spread, which is partly due to the nature of the LEDs, and they are not super bright. They are fine for 'atmospheric' lighting purposes, but on an entirely dark stage I would probably need eight rather than four. However, this price point of lighting is most likely for bands and acts that just need a bit of 'mood' lighting; whenever we go to larger venues they have their own lighting anyway.
As long as you are aware of what you are buying, these are great.
A flat light for great effects on stage
This is is really good for the price that you pay... Seriously.
Great quality, nice illumination power, DMX link ready and pre-configured patterns... Everything you need for some serious light show in one piece. You can attach them on stands or other supports as well as keep the lights flat or slanted on the ground for even more cool effects and light refractions.
All metal housing, the screws hold the handles pretty well, sturdy... It is a good choice for bands that need to put something extra in their shows while keeping an eye on their budget. Really recommended!
Strong and simple
They do what you expect and well
Extraordinary quality for the price - you can afford to throw several of these around the stage without breaking the bank - and the payoff is impressive...! well done Stairville..!
Stairville LED Flood Panel 150
We use 3 of these in our band setup. Great unit and small narrow profile means you can fit them in tight spaces. Great variety of colours and programs and also DMX controllable. Not a robust unit but we have ours for a year with no problems. They don't get hot like the old style ones did. Great value for the money.
great little light
Great light for the price.
