Stairville LED Flood Panel 150 40° RGB 5-stars Reviews
One of the best
Wasn't expecting such a cheap unit to be so bright and powerful used as backlight in a show and did the job fantastically defonatly worth buying
Excellent flat panel
Good sensitivity on sound-to-light and good in par-can groups on master/slave and DMX with PRO SNAKE TPD-3 0,5 FM and STAIRVILLE MAINS EXTENSION IEC 0,5M MK2.
I bought 4 but light output is so high that the dance floor can be 2 bright. Now set them in pairs on different DMX chases or only use 2 if using onboard sound-to-light.
Excellent for floor based wall floods/wash for mood lighting as can be set to very slow auto fade.
If you are using 4 on a MILLENIUM LST-310 LIGHTING STAND, the distance between the 2 middle fixing points is longer than 50 cm so you will need to use longer cables or daisy-chain across the middle pole.
Bargain buy
This light is worth recommending on the price alone. Nothing I have seen as of yet comes close.
I bought this as an inexpensive light for testing and experimenting with DMX control. I had previously bought a light from ebay but it pales into insignificance compared to this one.
Construction wise it is seems to be very well built. It is an all metal construction, not plastic. The silver/grey corners are a very nice touch which breaks up the overall black of the light casing.
The stand bracket is quite sturdy and allows for easy floor standing. It also has a mounting hole on the stand which gives it the possibility of other fixings options.
It comes with a fuse protected mains input (20mm fuse type) and a mains output socket. It also has DMX in and out. I have found that you don't always get the output sockets on the cheaper lights.
DMX control options are done via four small push buttons and there is a LED display to show the info. It has the usually functions like auto, sound to light and built in programs so can quite happily be used without a DMX controller.
I was pleasantly surprised by the light output, very bright. I have tested the light in several location now and would say it is best suited to small venues or for close up work.
This is a great starter light that you wont go wrong with. Even if you upgrade to other types later this light will not be out of place.
Great value little light
Not the hightest of output lights but for the money it packs enough pinch. I use these lights for uplighting and i most say they do this job well. The ability to daisy chain power is very helpful and the dmx works well with my controler. I would like the unit to be a little brighter as i feel its a little under powered. the 40 degree is very tight so if you want a wash this is not the lamp for you. I have used a lot of starville products and i fell this one is built well and it is construed well also. It is also of a high finish that would look good at any event. All in all i give these light 9/10
Light weight and strong
Good light output, works very well with my DMX-controller. 4 in my mobile setup, able to make nice patterns and sequences. Good colors. Good build quality.
Really good that you can booth have them on the floor and attach them on a rig.
Value for money.
Don't hesitate to buy these
I'm in a three piece alt rock band. We knew we were going to be playing a dingy pub and wanted to make it look more exciting. There are loads of lights to choose from, but we didn't want to spend too much money on something that might not be right. Lighting bands is very different from setting up a disco. These lights seemed an excellent place to start in terms of price and also to see how it could all work.
We are really pleased with them. We've got three and will add a fourth. We use them on the sound setting, set to different sensitivies, and let them do their thing. A couple light the bassist and guitarist and the other (soon to be two) washes the wall behind the drums. This gives a great atmosphere.
The housings themselves are attractive and seem robust enough for low level gigging. There's also the three year guarantee for peace of mind. They are easy to program with the LED readout and i love the fact you can daisy chain the power leads, so you only need one spare socket. I don't think we'll ever get into dmx, but it's there if you need it.
I've also used them around the house for mood lighting, just on a slow fade. They're great and my wife loves them just for when she's composing at the piano.
In alll then, while probably not representing absolute cutting edge in terms of LED technology, they are fantastic value for money and I'd recommend them. It's also amazing to think that our lightshow including lights and cables packs into a sports holdall.
Stairville LED Flood Panel 150 40 RGB
Excellent value for the price. Loads of features - Stand alone - dmx - Sound Operation. Ultra Low power consumption. Can be chained together. Wall washer, Uplighter, Overhead - almost anything! Only criticism is that I would have liked wider dispersion angle. Light output is remarkable for such low power consumption, but can be increased by chaining more of them together.
STAIRVILLE LED
Really impressed. My band uses two of these alongside two spots we bought. They respond superbly to the music and give a great effect.
stupendous price!
This unit is incredibly cheap...but only by price not by quality. It has metal casing and is sturdy to hold on for a very long time. Easy to use and has lots of pre-programmed lighting effects. I approve the price and quality!
A pair of these will do the job for a pub gig
After using 'traffic light' boxes for many years I bought a Stairville LED Flood Panel.
I'm very impressed and will be buying another soon. The output from the LEDs is very bright and the colours are ultra clear. The LEDs do not get hot like incandescent bulbs and take up less room on stage, both big advantages when using in small venues.
Light Up The Night
Great value and effective LED flood panel. Perfect for band and disco applications. Compact and easy to use. Good light/clours produced and low energy consumption. I bought four for our band for wedding functions and pub/club gigs. They add a touch of class and are very easy to use. They have DMX input for lighting control desks etc, but we just switch them to sound to light setting and away we go. Very impressed about to buy another 4 to replace our PAR 56 cans. Highly recommended.
great for uplights
I got 8 of these and as they have a solid metal construction this is what influenced my choice between these and the adj meag tri par which is of plastic construction.
as these will be placed around the edge of halls where people could kick them the full metal casing is a must.
the double yoke is great and means you don't have to get a separate floor stand
theses have great control whether you use the built in selection or master slave mode or full dmx .
they are a very compact unit I can fit 4 in one chauvet chs-sp4 slim par bag
very good value for money.
I will be getting some more of these in the future
Good Budget LED Lamp
My band has been using these for a couple of years now and have worked fine through numerous pub and club gigs. I saw some advise to use the wider dispersion angle panels if just general "wash" lighting was needed and these do fine.
Usually, we string them left to right on the floor between stage monitors and set low in a kind of upwash effect. They aren't as brilliant as PAR64 so realistically you need the house lights dimmed if these are all you are using.
We have used the auto sound to light settings both independently and synchronised via DMX cables and this is easy to set up. In addition we have connected four of these to a budget Chauvet Obey 3 controller and DMX control works just fine.
For most pub gigs, where setup time is limited. we just connect the mains power and leave them on full auto sound to light and let the lights so their own thing.
We cram four of these lights into a small case and to do this, we have to undo the stands and fixing knobs after every gig and I'm please to report that the hardware stands up to this well, no stripped threads or loose fittings after two years.
Perfect for daisy chaining
I really like the compact size and ease of connecting them in a chain they work really good in standalone/sound mode but the real power is when used with an DMX controller
Excellent value for money
Great value for money good light output and very we'll built
Bright
Very bright for its size. Perfect for stage use
Stairville Led Fliid Panel Review
I originally bought these to replace my other led par cans that were traditional. These are far brighter and far more of a spot than my others. Fantastic light out put in more of a spot than a wash. Fantastic range of programs that make them idea for up-lighting without the need for programming however the dmx is a brilliant feature. Will be buying more in the near future.
Good little light
Very light weight with great features. Still to early to comment on build quality. Still waiting for bags from bundle
Great quality LED flood
I use in conjunction with three others all linked together (three slaved, one driving other via sound to light) and they produce enough light to create a show for a small to medium sized pub/function gig. Low power consumption, easy to program (in all modes other than DMX) and give out very little heat. Reasonable build quality, very happy with them, much easier than lugging around bulky, power consuming, bulb blowing, heat producing conventional PAR cans.
LED FloodPanel
I bought 8 of these lights for wall washing at weddings, they are easy to set up and the colours are strong and bright, working on there own programs, the colour change and smooth flow from one colour to the next is faultless. and they are great value for the price .
