Pretty decent sax for only €300

I've had this sax for 9 months now and it plays pretty well. Did lessons and even my teacher commented that it was a pretty decent sax for such a low price. The mouth piece, reeds, and neck strap that it comes with are really bad but easy enough to replace. I did have a big problem with it at the start as the g# key was out of alignment and leaking air (not sure how it all the mechanics work), but i took it for repairs an its worked fine since. As well as the keys the cork on the bottom of the pads were pretty bad. They started falling off and had to replace them. I've recommended this sax before to friends who weren't willing to shell out tons of money on an entry level sax.

Good instrument for getting you started.

The title says it all. I am not disapointed. It really gets you started and you'll be happy you didn't start off with a very expensive instrument. Who does that? You start easy and if it pays off, you go to the next level instrument. This one is ok for it's price range! Not amazing, not bad. It's just good.

Excellent saxophone for a beginner !

If you are curious to try what a saxophone feels like , and want to play for fun , this instrument does an excellent job. Very good for beginner students and for those who want to start playing sax without spending a ton of money.

Reasonable price

For the money I spent to the instrument, it is pretty good.

Good Saxophone for the price

I'm a beginner Sax player so I decided to buy a very cheap Saxophone. Although it's a cheap Saxophone it has worked perfectly for me to learn how to play with a Saxophone.

I advise it for a begginer Saxophone player who doesn't want to spend too much money on a Sax for to know if he likes it.

Great for beginners, but questionable quality

After years not playing decided to order this budget Saxophone. The sound is fine, the mouthpiece is not top quality but works. If you have never played before this is a great instrument to start playing. However, if you have already played before you might consider investing in a higher price range saxophone. The pearl buttons fell off, I could glue them but after 3 I was afraid the quality wouldn't last a few years.

Great as a second instrument or to find out if the saxophone is something for you!

Great Starter Instrument

I used this instrument to start learning the saxophone as an adult. I didn't want to spend too much money and opted for the Startone SAS-75 based on price. It served its purpose very well and got me to a point where I am progressing well and ready to upgrade to a better instrument. It has it's limitations such as a few keys that tend to stick but overall it is quite playable with a decent sound.

Excellent beginner saxophone

Bought this after some consideration. I've been meaning to learn to play saxophone for a while, but couldn't afford one since I am not a professional musician. Then I found Startone. This sax is a branded ultra-cheap horn from China. Is this bad? No---in fact, this is its biggest advantage. While the quality of construction is not great overall (would you expect this for the asking price?) the instrument still delivers a genuine saxophone tone. What else would a beginner need? I mean, sure, this instrument will not last a lifetime, but for the price, would you really expect that? As far as the sound goes, it is fine. As far as the performance goes, it is more or less fine. So it goes like this---want a sax? Get this one and learn how to play it. Then get a more expensive one. And that's all she wrote.

Dream come true ...

A big Jazz fan, I've always dreamt to play the sax! This model is great to start discovering the instrument. Yes, it is not for the long run, but before investing in a (costly) sax for the long term, this model will allow you to start playing and find your own sound as well as the features & accessories you'd want for your long term instrument. ... and if that's not your objective, you'll enjoy playing your favourite tunes with this sax anyway ...

Good saxophone for beginers

Hi, I play now on that saxophone and it's realy good for that price. It's not for professional level. I recomend it for students/beginers. I think that for beginers is better to save some money for other next levels of their professionalism.:)

Google quality for a very good price

It is probably the less expensive, but if you have never played any saxophone, it is a good start.

I could not expect such a valuable instrument for that cost.

Obviously after a couple of year you could think in moving to higher quality but playing saxophone requires time, motivation and skills that i suggest to test with thieve try level.

Overall manufacture is good, the sound quality is quite good, just a bit colder than saxophone four time more expensive. There are many features you do not even imagine are provided with the set.

The case is rigid and well protect the instrument.

The response is quite good as well, probably you need to warm it a bit to get the best one it can give you.

Support and service provide by the company it is literally outstanding. They reply to each question and in very short time.

That's a great alto sax for the money!

I was impressed with the quality.

The mouthpiece that came with it is not very good, but a regular Yamaha 4C mouthpiece will do a great job along with some good reeds.

If you're loocking to buy a sax on a low budget I totally recomend it.

Best Entry Horn Ever.

I used with a Selmer C** . Its just got a little different from my W02 from Yanagasawa.

For beginners, it's passable

This sax is from the low range of prices, and in some ways it shows. The overall sound isn't bad, but the seals, especially in the smaller keys might develop leaks after a year or so.

I'd recommend changing the mouthpiece and strap from the start.

On a positive note, all the springs and tension wires are of good quality and haven't buckled even after years of playing.

Cork quality in neck piece is good, no need to service it if properly maintained.

Keeps tune well.

Well-balanced.

Overall price/quality ratio is good, though I'd perhaps recommend this one to beginners only.
