Can't be beat at that price point

The only problem I have with the unit is that only one input is HI-Z but otherwise it's solid

Good quality and good software included.

I have to admit that I chose this sound card because it included my beloved Cubase in the price.

But I now I'm delighted with the quality and some other features:

- I can use it without connecting it to a computer, using it as a headphone amplifier.

- The power source selector (USB-C / Old USB) is useful as power switch.

- 1 Hi-Z input for better electric guitar and bass recording (I never record two simultaneous inputs)

Steinberg UR22C

I am professional sound designer, with over 30 years of experience of recording sound from tapes to digital. Steinberg is Steinberg. Very good card for a price range.

Great product, slightly buggy software.

Great product for the price, basically sounds the same as the audient stuff but has a quality built-in DSP. Had a bit of an issue with a bad firmware flash, but was fixed with wiping out everything and a fresh install to reflash the device. A few things could be better though, like a mute switch for the line outs. Otherwise great product, software is just a tad illogical.

32 bits is the future

Talking about what's really important in the digital world, 32 bits give me more headroom for my DAW. I was dumbfounded that still other audio interfaces were working with 24 bits in 2022. Keep up the good work, Steinberg!

Everything i wished for

I searched for a interface after having problems with a focusrite interface for years. on my search i found the UR22C and was immediately impressed by the design aswell as functions. definitely better drivers and software (overall control) than the focusrite devices

You can't go wrong about this audio interface!

I needed so badly an audio interface for my mice and guitar, to record my acoustic versions of my songs. I had the MKII before that was a very great choice for a solo artist, then i decided to get the new version, which is greater for my record. Now i go live sometimes in twitch, some other times i can record my solo guitars on a go, or when i go to the mountains for inspiration. It's just perfect little device that i can do what i have to do.

Good entry level interface

The sound is good for the price, I also like having a feature of some dsp effects included. But having some issues with losing connection using a usb hub, any touching of the chord makes the interface reconnect, maybe it is the issue with my hub. Also when plugging in headphones the sound only comes out of one ear, couldn't figure out what the problem is, tried pressing the mono button and it is still present after installing latest drivers (Mac)

Great USB C Audio Interface

Need a high quality Audio interface with a USB C connection, this is your solution. The on board DSP functionality is limited but certainly has it’s uses.

E licenser fail!

Product by itself is great, but the problem with e licenser is so annoying, I almost can say I will rather buy a sound card from another company.... but steinberg looks nice. Focusrite don't.

Lovely piece of hardware

I did a lot of research before getting an audio interface, and settled on this on: great decision :)

From the build quality to the specs, this unit is pretty impressive and is super easy to set up - and it can work from a powerbank as well!

I know that there are other appealing interfaces out there, but I will always recommend this one.

Plug and play.

This device is as simple as you’ll get if you’re not particularly computer-savvy like me. I need plug and play, no complication, and UR-22C pretty much gives you that. Registering it isn’t the most straightforward thing I’ve done in life, but with a bit of patience you’ll do that successfully too if you’re anything like me.

I use it 98% for listening music, occasionally I plug my guitar or microphone into it, and it does the job decently. Vocals are ok with basic effects (all you need is reverb), guitar modeling is not good, but if you’re too lazy to plug into a real amp, this will do.

For me personally, the most convenient device

I have been using this device for more than a year and it is very convenient, with high-quality sound. I use it in conjunction with Rode Nt1-a. The quality for your money is more than satisfied. Never failed.

Good sound card

We used to take sound straight from mixer to PC but experienced some additional noise. Using this USB interface this removed these noises for us. Ofc it would be better to have all inputs behind the interface and all controllers in front but it is what it is. Works OK for us.

Steinberg UR22C

I was looking for an Audio Interface to play through guitar plugins. I was choosing between Steniberg UR22C and Focusrite 2i2 3gen. Decided to buy this one, as it has midi , a rotary knob to mix DAW or dry input instead of a button on focusrite, and also "famous" Yamaha preamps.

To be honest I dont use midi or this mix rotary knob and cant hear a difference between yamaha and other preamps. Additionally, it's two times heavier than Focusrite. SO if I had to choose now - I would personally buy Focuserite 2i2.

Use: Cubase 10 Pro

Clarity: I've been using this product over the past five months. For just a little under $200, this is a perfect starter interface with this interface. The price-quality ratio is very good. . The whole device is metal and feels super solid. I'm impressed. Superspeed USB 3.1 is not so stable as it seams, have a lot of problems when using the 3.1.

DSP is the unique selling point

Solid interface, does it's job and has good controls. However, the preamp is quite noisy from what I understand, so I might have chosen another interface with lower noise if that was my focus.

The latency-free DSP effects are what make it worth it for me, both guitar amps and compression/reverb for vocals. I can have my guitar plugged in at all times and just pick it up and play, even when my computer is sleeping.

TL:DR, if you're not planning to use the DSP effects much, choose another interface with better stats for noise and headphone amp.
