One of the best pedals

This is one of the best pedals I've ever used. A real organic sounding pedal with a tonne of tones available. An absolute must have for any reverb/tremolo fan. I was a bit sceptical at the start but the proof is in the pedal. Easily one of my favourite pedals. Cannot recommend it enough.

Strymon Flint - perfect for tremolo enthusiasts

I bought the Strymon Flint to help recreate certain rockabilly sounds for a band I play with. Usually I would opt for the boss pedals which are easier to navigate and setup and which retail for about a third of the price. Despite that I decided to try the Flint as I had heard good things about it. This decision was justified big plus I feel.

The Flint offers great control over all aspects of your tremolo sound and with the reverb it's basically a 2-in-1 pedal which will free up foot print space on your pedalboard (a big plus if, like me, your pedalboard is already running out of space). After some experimenting (this may take some time but is well worth the effort) you will be able to achieve sounds to suit all kinds of genres. The Strymon website is also loaded with tips on settings to help you get different sounds.

The one slight negative is that, as mentioned previously, it is a slightly harder unit to operate but if you persevere you'll be able to unlock a wealth of sounds.

Best Reverb/Tremolo Pedal out there

I am a Strymon Fanboy! I also have a Timeline and an El Capistan - my favorite pedals on my pedalboard. My new Flint is just fantastic. Very organic and versatile and not even expensive if you compare it to other pedals.

Just perfect!!

Excellent reverbs (from vintage to swells) and a very nice tremolo with 3 mod...

Strymon Flint

Very pleasing reverb combined with tremolo pedal in a small form factor. This is definitely a vintage sounding device and very easy to use. Fantastic sounding effects in true spirit of the Strymon pedal line. I do prefer this reverb over the Strymon BlueSky

Luxury

I never used to be into tremolo, but another piece of kit I bought had it built in and I started to really enjoy the atmosphere it brought in. And around the same time I bought a high-quality amp that didn't have any reverb, and sounded cold as a result. So I needed a tremolo pedal and a reverb pedal. And then Strymon brought this out. The magazine reviews were good, so I took a risk, knowing that this was certainly not the cheapest way of getting those two effects.

But, if you can afford it, it's probably the best way. Both trem and reverb have three different voices. You'll probably quickly find which one you like best, but it's nice to have the choices there. And then the controls allow you to tweak the sounds to suit the song. There's a good range of sounds available, but even at the extremes they still sound good: I haven't find a single unpleasant sound in there.

Some of the hidden controls are a bit fiddly (press this button while powering on and then turn that knob, etc). But they open up a few other interesting sounds. The reverb->tremolo sound certainly gives quite a different feel by comparison with the regular tremolo->reverb sound.

The quality of the sounds is good, and the quality of the build is excellent. It just exudes a sense of being built properly.

Strymon Flint

Provides very high quality simulations of classic reverbs and tremolos. It is digital so I don't know how they adjust for input levels. I suppose it could be overloaded. And it does take a bit more current than most analogue effect pedals. The two red LEDs are a bit of a boring choice and it would be good if the tremolo LED pulsed in time with the trem frequency.

Just love this pedal, harmonic 60s, 70s and 80s harmonics.
