Nice studio desk.

For the home studio enthusiast on a budget this is good value for money.

Amazing value for money, great for beginners.

I bought this workstation back in 2009, and it served me well right up until late last year when I replaced it.

Pros: The cost is excellent, the desk is well featured and the wheels are an amazing addition sadly lacking on many far more expensive desks. There is plenty of room for either a MIDI keyboard or a mixing console & keyboard and mouse. Rack spaces are a cool plus, and the cable tray on the back is a godsend.

Cons: While very acceptable for the price, build quality is average. The desk wobbles after a week or so without tightening. I moved five or six times while I had it and it eventually showed - in particular the lining around the edges of both platforms broke off exposing the chipboard underneath. Some of the metal parts ring out at certain frequencies.

Verdict: I'd call this a great desk for somebody just starting out or with simple requirements. It's not very pretty and has its share of problems but the features are good, the value for money is insane and I can't imagine there to be too many competitive alternatives at this price.

Good but not perfect

Great desk, really helpful for most things.

One thing that was a little annoying about this desk however is the rack rails as i found i could get gear in to them on the top or bottom holes but couldn't secure both at the same time (it's possible that I put the rails on the wrong way around (though I don't believe I did), it's not a big deal as you can still secure stuff using half the holes but it's worth noting. Equally due to the angle of the racks you may struggle to put a rack drawer into the unit if you are so inclined.

Great !

Best table ever. My monitors are perfectly placed. Though the screen is a bit high up so this table is not recommended for shorter people no joke. Else it is very good and I like it!

It would be nice if the higher table was a little lower because I believe most people are not comfortable with the height. If the table had a lowering function it would be a 5-star without a doubt.

There are many slots were you can place different pre-amps and stuff. I will probably never need as many as available but still good for those who needs them.

Great studio surface

I am very pleased with the studio station,it was very easy to construct, the instructions were easy to follow. It was easy to take out of its box, which is strong, and could be used in the future for transport or storage. The creation studio Is made of very strong materials which makes it very solid. It allows for an easy work flow, the top self is just perfect for my monitors. It has wheels which makes it easy to move ,and it has breaks also to hold it in place

The only complaint that I would have ,has to do with leg room, the bottom self I find a little limiting when it comes to leg comfort.Having said that I would still recommend.

Fantastic desk for home studio project.

I purchased this studio desk as the core for a home studio project. I previous used a unit from a Swedish furniture shop (you know the one), but it was clear that all my synth racks were not protected and my equipment was all over the place. When this desk arrived it was very well packed and I am very glad to say came with instructions that were so easy to follow. Despite being MDF, the build quality is so high that you would think it is real wood. The design is clever providing many features that make storing equipment easy and safe. After construction which took about 30 minutes, I started putting equipment on it. The top shelf is big enough for 2 x 22inch wide screens and a pair of KRK rokit 5 monitors. The rack is solid and can take 8 1u racks easily. It also leaves a gap to either store books\discs or place a synth workstation. The space in front of the rack area is big enough for a large synth (Roland Fantom G6 or 7) but the 88 key version would struggle as the height of the synth would obstruct the lower racks. The bottom shelf is a life saver, allowing mass storage of everything. The unit comes on rubber wheels which can be locked in place (front ones). Another point is that there is a cable shelf at the back which has drilled holes in. This means you can gather cables together and zip tie them to it and make the back of the desk very tidy. So in summary:

Pros: Well made, lots of space, enough for 8x1U racks, looks very professional, can be moved around and locked in place, great cable tidy a back.

Cons: Wheels are rubber and split in half and had to be replaced (probably due to weight on desk). Rack area is fiddly to put racks in as you have to screw them in (no quick clips). 8 racks is pretty limited and you quickly fill them up.

Project Studio Workstation

Studio RTA has good features for the price,a good amount of room for rack units

A word of warning the screws to attach the castors are very short and moving this unit

when it is fully loaded with Heavy Active Studio Monitors may caused the the castors to break off as happened to me.

Probably worth replacing said screws with some bolts.

having said that it still a decent unit for the price.

Great desk... but

Overall it's what I wanted and need. It's somewhat of a disappointment though that the work surface melts when you put a coffee mug on it. Not melts as in real damage, but it leaves visible rings on the material which will NOT come out/off anymore.

I also had to 'macGyver'a few screws as they would not fasten properly.

Not bad enough to return, but losing two stars on quality and one overall because of it.

Creation Station

This is a quality product. Quite easy to construct. When completed you will realise the actual size of it. Only complaint is the incompatibility with power macs. The heaviness of the metal case does not sit well with the softness of the MDF used to produce the base shelf. This along with the strip will easily be damaged by these Mac systems. I have 2 which has reduced the base to crumbs!!

A very functional desk

This desk has served me well for various production purposes of the years. Have now removed the upper half and it sits a little too high for comfortable screen viewing (27inch). Nonetheless, the larger work space is now much more worth it. The lower platform sits a little low, and it it were to be higher and include a tool out keyboard tray, then this would be ace. I purchased one of these trays offline to install and never looked back.

The diagonal sides make it a little difficult to squeeze in with other furniture - however i just put monitor stands in the wasted space.

Excellent workstation

This is superb, having 2 x 4U racks is a great idea - the only design downside I can find is the lack of keyboard try - if it had this it would be perfect.

It was very easy to build, and the fit and finish is great. The laminate has lifted slightly on one edge on mine, but it's not getting any worse.

Great value for money!

Nice looking desk, good quality construction. I moved it and rebuilt it several times already and it stays sturdy and solid. a bit wobbly because of the wheels, but for the price is a really good piece of kit.

Good Sturdy desk!

Desk was easy to assemble and is very sturdy. The shape isn't very practical tho and it can take up a lot of space.
