StudioRTA Creation Station 5-stars Reviews
Sturdy and great for a 1st time home studio
Only thing it would be nice to have an under desk tray for mouse/keyboard as it's kind of cluttered once you fill the rack spaces and put a midi keyboard on the top.
NICE
really good desk for this price
Good Value, Fit for Purpose
I was looking for a workstation which was big enough for home recording purposes but not the starship enterprise helm lookalike, costing a small fortune! This does it, good amount of space for my gear (computer, mixer, audio box, monitors and a keyboard & room to spare!) and a handy 19 inch rack for effects and other rack mount items. I also have a guitar amp on the lower shelf just above ground level, it also has a cable channel at the back to keep things tidy. It's on castors so can be moved around the room if required with everything in place.
It's good quality, easy to assemble with great instructions, so no DIY nightmares, a screwdriver is all you need and an allen key which is supplied..
Very good quality!
I received this, after I build it, the result was beyond my expectations.
Best value for money!
Only con, is that it's slightly less higher than I would like, but no issue, I can always lower the chair and work comfortable.
VERY EASY TO PUT TOGETHER!!
I purchased this to be my main work station for my home studio. It came in a huge heavy box around 45kg and the instructions are very easy to follow there was only 4 steps before you have a completed desk!!!
I had it all together and ready to go in around 45 minutes.
It has brakes on the wheels and is very stable when you lock the wheels it will not move.
I would say if you are looking for a work station this is the one to go for it has so much work space you wont need anything else.
Great desk
I've had this desk a long time and it's only starting to show it's age. Totally recommend.
Just what I needed
I found this desk really easy to put together, it's really sturdy and the 19u rack spaces are really useful. The one thing I would say is that I wouldn't place my speakers on it, I did and there is a resonance from the desk even when using iso pads, so I put my speakers back on their stands and place behind the desk. My room is 11 feet by 16 feet and this desk is a good size for my room, if your room is smaller then this desk would be too big, but if you have the room this is a great addition.
Affordable one stop shop for music production
Was able to assemble within 2 hours of receiving the package following the easy to follow instructions. The build of the table is sturdy and it's a great size to fit an 88 key keyboard. It has racks to slot in audio interfaces etc. and will be useful for when I'm building onto my studio setup. More than happy with my purchase and would absoloutely recommend to a producer of any level of experience to use for organization and use of studio equipment.
One of the best buys i have ever made
I own this desk since June 2016. I am actually sitting at it right now writing this review and i still love the feeling
PROS
1. Great looks. Makes you feel (and look i guess) like you
know what you are doing
2. Not that hard to assemble and the parts seem solid
3. The cable management metal shelf helps a lot
4. There is actually enough height between the bottom
shelf and the main surface to put even a big size
computer tower
5. If you need it for home studio use like me, i don't think
you would ever need a lot -if any- more features/space
6. Wheels are great to have. Once you have placed all
your equipment on the desk, you can then move
it around freely. Plus you can clean the floor really
easily without having to move the desk!
CONS
1. It does feel a little unstable. It shakes if you push it or
an earthquake occurs. I never had any problems
though
2. One or two stubborn screws when assembling but all
went good
3. There is not enough room on the main surface to put
a medium-to-big midi keyboard, a computer keyboard
and a mouse all together for example. But you
could add an extra keyboard drawer below the main
surface i guess)
4. My computer tower is a big/tall one and it almost
touches the main surface from below. The problem is
that the start button is on top side of the tower and i
cannot push it without a tool since there is not enough
room for my hand
5. Top shelf is not wide enough if you want to stack two
screens plus speakers or one screen and multiple
speaker pairs.
The only reason i am not putting 5 stars is the cons i mentioned. But when i searched the market back then, this desk may have been the best value for money out there and you cannot really ask for more at this price. Overall i would definitely recommend it, especially for home studios!
studio rta
verry nice and solid unit
easy to build.
enough desk space for a lot of stuff
A buy that lasts
Easy to build and with a lot of capabilities desk!
I have on top of it my monitors, screen for the laptop, audio interface, laptop, mouse, keyboard, midi pad controller, synth and a quitar pedal and still have free space to add more!!
The 1U racks is magnificent. They save sooo much space, but the thing that I enjoy most, is that AT LAST my monitors are at the right position to provide me the best listening spot.
It was a great build quality too.
I put 4 stars on features because I would like a dedicated space to put a drawer.
Other than that it is a very great desk, with a lot of space. I'm very happy with my purchase and I suggest you to buy it, if you want a nice and comfortable space to make some music.
Great value
Desk looks like on the picture. Little bit funny, if you are too passionate it can wobble a bit, but it's ok if it's your first more real work desk, or rather say work desk for such price.
+ price (you can maybe build it cheaper, but at this price-why?)
+ base desk is solid and thick
+ wheels - if you have small studio, cleaning the room and room/cable management is great.
+ cable management rail
+ black bottom desk is funny, but holding computer and some stuff makes with wheels totally flexible room platform.
+ rack - asking for filling up with gadgets
+ you can use table without the top monitor desk
- top monitor desk is quite high. it could be 10cm lower even sacrificing one/two rack space. I'd rather look little down on monitors. Better side to this is, that you can quite easily/cheap modify it if you want, by shortening/making new columns.
- main desk seemed quite short from ground, but I get to used to it. But with a bit of work, It can be modified too.
All in all, great for home studio. Not beauty for hi-end clients to see, but maybe the best valued all-in-one solution.
a nice budjet home studio desk
nice and useful desk, using it for years already , for a small home studio it works just fine , it has enough space to put what u need on it , i am happy with this desk , thanks!
Incredible for the money!
I was somewhat hesitant to purchase this because on the website it seems quite small. I can asure you it is not small! I have plenty of space for all of my rack mounted gear as well as space for a 27" imac and two HS7's on the monitor shelf. It really is incredibly good value for money!
Awesome studio desk!
Bought this to finally have a decent desk in my home studio, used to have a cheap 30¤ table before.... so a huuuuge step up.
Assembly is not recommended alone, as the parts are all relatively heavy and you need to lift and turn the individual shelfs and the partly assembled shelfs them again. With a friend we rook about an hour to fully assemble. Everything seemssturdy enough and not at all wobbly or flimsy. Only the plates at the end of the legs were bit all 100% straight, but not as crooked as it would hinder asembly or stability.
Fully assembled, it stands straight and sturdy, the two castors with brakes take care of it not moving away. The rack is even better than I expected, was a bit worried if it would hold as each rack piece is only screwed on with 2 woodscrews, but it really holds well! Got a 2U drawer and a 1U Pull Out Rail on one side, each filled with guitar parts so it adds up to roughly 13kg - and it just holds, with just two screws on each side in the front of the rack. "Modded" it söightly, as the rack units are usually put it slightly slanted to the back, but for the drawer and rail of course needed it exactl straight and parallel to the shelf/floor. Was no hassle drilling two new small holes for the screws and then screwing it on straight.
Only "downside" for me is, that the top shelf is too small for two screens + monitor speakers... have to get monitor stands soon when I get my second screen. But apart from that, this is an awesome studio desk!
Excellent...
Great Studio Station.... Sturdy with plenty of space. Assembly instructions are very clear and it was a breeze to put together.. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a Studio station built like a tank.
It does the job.
The quality is really good. Easy to assemble better than ikea stuff. The issue is that I am 1,75m and when I have my seat in the high possition in order to work with computer programs my legs touch the wood under the desk. The wood there is sharp in the edge. Not comfy. The screen is standing higher than expected. If you dont have a screed already buy one that has an adjustable desk mount and can make the screen touch the shelf desk. If you do that I belive you will repair that issue. With my neusonik iboard4 on the desk there is little room for keyboard and mouse but I can handle it. The fact that it has wheels and everithing is on top the lower shelf makes cleaning really easy i really like that. I have the pc tower an amp a ups and there is still room for legs and more stuff. Overall it is a good desk and it looks like an actual studio equipment. I recomend it!
A small edit after 5 years of ownership. It has sustained so far 3 move outs and three different apartments. And i have no problem. If you treat it with respect it will serve you for years.
Best desk on the market
My studio partner purchased a desk exactly the same spec as this a year ago for nearly £400. Until I saw this desk I thought i was going to have to spend the same amount.
This desk is amazing, the rack space is a must and the 2 tier shelving and the floor level really helps with storage, wheels aren't a bad accessory either!
Great product, great price! :)
Great for the home studio!
The desk was easy enough to put together, and is pretty sturdy when built. The wheels, I've discovered, have been very handy! Especially when adding more rack gear!
It has room for all of my rack gear, computer, computer monitor, studio monitors 49 key MIDI keyboard, mouse and computer keyboard, with plenty or room left over for a notepad, coffee mug, etc.
The only thing I dislike is that the finish/fake wood veneer is somewhat easily damaged. But at the price It;s still the cheapest/most functional desk I've found online!
I know I'll probably outgrow this desk at some point but for now, it's great!
Very impressed.
Can't go wrong with this desk, delivered very quickly and was simple enough to put up. Feels very sturdy which is one thing I was scared of buying a cheaper desk, however it failed to disappoint! Would definitely recommend.
