Superlux HD-681 B 3-stars Reviews
good but quality in endurance needs work
produces a smooth sturdy sound to the ear very solid pair but needs improvement in terms of quality of the endurance.
It does the job
I?m impressed with the sound quality for such a cheap headset, I needed a headset in a pickle and I can hear bass just fine on them. They do feel pretty cheap but don?t look it, over all a fine headset.
Good value for the sound quality but uncomfortable.
Very open clear balanced sound even when compared to Sennheiser HD600 but with a much lower impedance suitable for portable devices. The circular pads are not comfortable. My ears are of average size for a male. They exceed the internal diameter of the pads by a centimetre so my earlobes get squashed. Yet the drivers are so big they are very inconvenient to wear around the neck when not in use.
Nothing spectacular!
Nothing spectacular out of this headphones. I bought them to have a spare one and sometimes I use them for my artists for monitoring and gets the job done. For this price is no brainer to have one in studio hanging around.
uncomfortably bright, lacking in bass
The headphones don't give the sense that the music is in the room, it sounds like the music is coming out of speakers on my ears. The bass is far under-represented for my taste. Overcompensating elsewhere, there is an uncomfortable spike in the higher frequencies. I have tested them using some of my favourite music to reach these conclusions. That said, these phones are well better than the lot of other brands of headphone at this price point. I give 4 stars for quality due to the price/performance ratio, and an overall 'passing grade,' but I can't keep them unless a magical gnome would appear and mod them for me.
