Superlux HD-681 4-stars Reviews
Bang for the buck
Most of the parts are plastic, its quite comfortable but not the best, sound okey its have clarity. Overall good bang for the buck
Good choice for bundle deal.
I use these headphones as part of a bundle deal with the MPS 850 e-kit. They are suited to this, nothing fancy but the quality is good.
Pro's: Affordable, good sound, has a very nice one-size-fits-all mechanism that creates a snug fit around the head.
Con's: It comes with a screw-in adapter plug, this is nice and sturdy for playing the e-kit but makes it cumbersome if you were planning to use it for other purposes (phone, mp3-player, ...).
Sound for this price is awesome
It really sounds fine. Basses are quite decent, treble may be a bit high.
Great standard headphones
Great buy considering the price.
They are definitely not WOW but a great quality for home studio work.
Awesome for the price
I use the superlux HD-681 in my studio for recording and for listening music etc.
The quality of the product is top notch for the price tag, cheap materials with great durability, very good sound and great comfort. I'm using them from about 3 years now.
Very Clear and good
My first studio headphones, very clear and a tiny bit flat but I suppose that's the case with studio headphones. I used them to listen to music and ebooks, podcasts etc.
They are AMAZING if you listen to voices, very clear and high resolution of sound. Build very sturdy, I dropped them a few times very hard and they survived without any problems. Would buy again. If those are your first studio headphones you will be blown away.
surprisingly good for the price!
I bought these for my son to listen to audiobooks, but I've found myself using them in my studio, such is the decent quality of audio and good comfort that they provide.
Really good value for money.
You can't get anything better for same price range. It goes realively really well with low frequencies (I use it for bass guitar practicing). Plastic/rubber parts get a bit overworned after a few months. I recommend.
good , comfortable headphone at this price
Happy on this purchase, its comfortable wearing headphones, in a good quality for this price. no complaints here.
Great value for the money.
You can feel the cheap price mainly on the build, but the sound is ok. I use them as a second pair of headphones to check my mixes. Keep in mind that they are open, so if you want to use them in public, they aren't your best choice.
Best Headphones In That Price Range
Superlux HD 681 - They come with a pouch and a 6,3mm adapter to give You some options regarding connectivity.
BUILD;
Very lightweight plastic build with no metal parts but that is to be expected at that price point. Headband design is accually in a shape of human head and that makes them pretty comefortable to wear. Stock ear pads are quite hard and after prolonged use (in my case 2+ hours) earlobes can start to hurt a little.
SOUND;
These will give You super wide sound stage and produce bass really well with some punch to it. They dont block a lot of noise and leak quite a bit of sound.
Pros & Cons
+Low Price -Build Quality
+Wide Sound Stage -Poor Sound Isolation
+Lightweight
+Bass
Good for studio on a budget, gaming and everyday music listening.
Good value
Very nice headset with good sound quality for the price. Only lesser point: the cushioning feels a bit hard and hurts after an extended listening session.
I recommend though!
Great quality for the price
I bought this headphone as a recommendation from rtings.com under the cheap option for critical listening and i was really surprised how this headphones sounded good. Of course there is better headphones out there but you have to pay for them. (I am student so i can't afford to but high priced headphones)
I am no expert in audio production and technicalities, but i like to hear some decent sound. I am pleased with the quality of the audio production.
I found the that sometimes the high notes or the treble may be sometimes be off in certain songs, but it can be ignored.
One thing i have to mention is the ear caps. The only thing that bothers is that you have to perfectly put them around your ear, because if they are slightly shifted, there will be a loss of audio, but this can be fixed quickly by adjusting the headphones on your ear. And if you wear glasses you may loose some of the audio through your ear.
Overall i recommend this headphone for people who doesn't want to pay a lot and get some good audio.
I hope you find this review helpful.
Superlux HD-681
Great headphones for the money....if your budjet is not high enough....its a good choise. :)
Great for The Price
Using these for my e-drums. Sound quality is okay, the highs are a bit too high & the mids are kinda muffled, bass is about where it should be. Since the design is half-open, to block out the sound of the sticks hitting the drums, you'll have to use a pretty high volume. A bit bulky all in all, but build quality is strong.
Good for practice, but wouldn't consider it for professional studio use.
great low price studio headphones
No flaws, no negatives, very low or no signal noise. Takes effect pedals well (accurate sound reproduction), great price.
They do the job and more
I was pleasantly surprised by a pair of headphones that I got in a bundle starter drum kit. I was very skeptical of the quality and thought this would be the first thing I would substitute.
The sound quality is great. I have tried the drum kit with better headphones and the difference was not big. Maybe a little bit when it comes to bass sounds.
These are comfortable and wrap around your ears. I have played for long periods of time straight and I never felt any discomfort.
This is a great product for the price.
Use it for guitar practicing at night.
Sound is ok.
They are quite comfortable
All good
I needed more headphones for my home studio . You don t get the super sound , but it does the job good . If you need reference headphones you need to spend a lot more . Works for me : )
Cool studio headphones
My backup headphones, they are really good consifering price.
Sound quality is decent and they are comfy.
My plan was to use them as studio headphones, but since they are so comfy and sound is decent, i use them really often, while gaming/listening music
