Superlux HD-681 Reviews
Very nice for a low budget
I got these included in the e-drum millenium mps-850 bundle, and were surprisingly decent.
Nice budget friendly
Serves well with the budget. Good quality sound.
Acceptable for the price
I would say it has quite average sound, comfort and doesn't feel very good build quality so if you want something to wear daily for an hour or more perhaps invest in proper headphones, or if you want to save, fine, but don't have high expectations.
This is perfectly fine for casual use as I use my piano only occasionally.
Rea value for money
For me persoanlly, these headphones represent truly fantastic value for money. Yes, I know you can pay up to hundreds of pounds/euros etc for other makes, but if you don't buy just on brand name & for my basic home recording (Music) these are excellent and are very 'fit for purpose'
adkhey
le son est nickel juste il est pas trop confortable
Very good for the price
At first I thought it would have been a bit more uncomfortable but right now I can wear them for hours. The sounds quality is good.
Good Quality Headphones
More than sufficient to work with my home recordings
Very Stylish and Comfy
Great Headphones! very comfy too! Highly recommend. 5 stars!
Top quality for the price!
Well worth the price tag. Sound quality is amazing. They are very snug & don't feel too tight. I have definitely had more comfortable headphones but you can always buy better ear pads. The Material does feel a bit cheap but for this price what do you expect. You really can't go wrong with these for the price. (I bought them for £17.30, £25 with delivery!)
Great for the price
Ordered 3 pairs of these headphones for a band recording session. The players couldn't believe the price I paid for these. The sound quality is decent but great for the price. The comfort is good, amazing for the price. If you are on a budget and need a few pairs for the studio, look no further.
Great for the price
I bought these headphones to mix when I was starting out, the quality is good for the price and they are very comfortable as well.
Very comfortable and good sounding, they are semi-open back so you'll still hear what's around you, which is good for mixing but not so good if you're recording a sound instrument like drums and need to monitor with music.
Another pro is that the adapter is those that screw on the plug, those are great and hard to break.
The only con is that the cable could be longer.
Would recomend for sure!
Works perfectly
Crisp sound and very comfortable. They're so light you forget you're wearing them.
Superlux HD-681
Deep bass and bright tops. 100% satisfied for the house.
Best In Class
The Superlux HD-681 is a great pair of headphones that really put to shame many other headphones that I have used which cost far more money.
While external noise reduction is not the focus on these, they are absolutely perfect for mixing/recording at home or on the go. As I primarily mix on Yamaha HS5s, I found this pair of headphones to offer me a fairly similar response in regards to its tone (albeit mixing on speakers is very different than mixing on headphones).
I stopped using my Sennheiser headphones (which cost me almost £100) after using these, as I thought the Superlux sounded "flatter" and felt nicer on my head after a few hours.
Give them a go , as you might find yourself buying Superlux HD-681s for the whole band!
Regular headset for all
A very nice standard headset for your daily use.
A bit big and to tight after some hours.
Not exactly Pro standards, but superb for music and gaming on a budget!
I bought these to listen to music and for playing PC games after reading online recommendations. I have them connected to a Monolith Liquid Spark headphone amp connected to my PC's onboard DAC line out.
My main decision was based on sound quality, imaging and price. I liked the noted sound signature listed on the Superlux website and from reviews I've read. I have to say I'm actually blown away with how they sound! These have a nicer sound signature than my old Sennheiser HD580s. Yes they are cheaply built, but look how much they cost. I'm sure if you look after them and treat them with respect they will last long enough. My biggest complaint is the clamping force and thin earpads. Very uncomfortable, I've ordered thicker velour pads from China to compensate.
Pros: Spacious sound with good clarity, depth and punch making them ideal for gaming. Gorgeously musical. Ridiculous price.
Cons: Treble forward. Not going to compete with high end headphones (but snapping at the heels of phones costing 5-10x as much). Clamping force is probably the worst I've encountered. Build quality fits what you pay for...cheap.
MY every day friends
I use it for every day listening on my computer.
Sometimes as monitor when i play my Roland Drums or my son when he play piano.
I have few more known brands that were higher priced, but they are not as good as this one. You get a lot! I have 3 different Superlux headphones models, but for the money those are great.
For something better you will have to pay a lot more. For me those are great and i think that you can't go wrong with them.
Great headphones!
Was very pleased with the quality! Deep bass, great frequency range. Very comfortable. Ordered another pair for my friend and will order more when necessary.
Would recommend this item! Dependless on the price - the headphones are very good.
Amazing Value Pro Headphones
Sure, these are not Beyer 880's or Sennheiser 600's but they're not far off and a fraction of the cost. For studio monitoring the 681's offer unbeatable value and excellent sonics, pretty much fulfilling any engineer's needs. Perhaps for your 'golden ears' mastering gurus and the most critical listening purposes the tailored frequency response of these cans may fall a little short, but for everyone else they offer all you need - they're really lightweight, very comfortable and the semi-open design is right on the money. In fact the only difficulty with these headphones is whether to buy the straight 681 or one of the other variants!
This headphones sound incredible for its price. For less than 20€ I don't believe you can find any headphones with better quality.
I use them to mix and to hear my recordings and for now I'm very very happy!
The only con is that they look like they are a little fragile. But I'm usually very careful so it doesn't seem to be a problem for me.
