always superlux

I've never been disappointed using Superlux products neither this time. I was looking for a sturdy studio michrophone stand, which can handle heavy microphone and meantime is flexible. I found this as an additional option for well known K&M stand. For a surprise it is not worse as a K&M analog. Maybe the plastics could be better, but if you use it responsible no problems could happen. Best quality for the price, guaranteed.

Very good solid stand

This stand is amazing value for money. Rock solid and no drooping. Lots of adjustment too and very long boom with counter weight - which is fixed at the back end so it can;t fall off.

Highly recommend

Took a chance on a pair of these thinking they weren't much of a risk at such a low price. Turned out to be some of the best mic stands we've ever had. The adjustable counter-weight makes it incredibly stable even with heavy mics for drum overheads etc. Have been using these for months now and they have never slipped during a session. Amazing value. Should they ever break we will these again.

Incredible value for money!

If you need a big, heavy-duty stand you won't find better - at any price. For the money it's an absolute steal.

Very stable and robust and will support pairs of heavy mics with no hint of 'sag'.

BUT don't think you'll slip this into the back of your family hatchback. It's big and heavy.

Completely recommended as offering exceptional quality and value for money.

Its huge -- but its fantastic

This stand is heavy duty, no its very heavy duty. It's massive!. It's really well made and easy to setup. I use it to support my sE SPACE reflection filter. And it's so CHEAP .....

I want to buy another one.

Stable

Great for getting big mice up high. We hang a £4000 AEA mic from ours and it feels totally safe

Sturdy, huge, great stand

This is a very big stand. It is also very very sturdy, I would be completely comfortable hurling bricks at it from across the room, and I doubt it would fall over even fully extended. The counterweight works great. All the joints are smooth and hold in place well.

Not much more to say- if you want to stand a heavy mic high up, you need one of these guys.

Solid and heavy!

I was surprised when I took it out of the box! Built like a tank and large! On one of these these I can hang two Coles 4038 (more than a kilo each and sensitive, you do NOT want them to drop) or easily handle a Neumann U87 up in the air, goes without effort up to 3m+ It is the stuff bigger studios are made of, and a bit over the top for my livingroom. Extremely priceworthy, you trust then with your expensive microphones even if people are running around the set. If people collide with them, they will get bruises, not tipping over your stuff...

Though it would be flimsy for the price

This stand is HEFTY, really tall and heavy, it's appropriate for high room micing. I expected a really sub-par product for £35 I literally don't know how they're making money on this product. Excellent, just beware it's really big not like a regular mic stand, might be hard to transport.

Strong, good quality.

This stand is strong, well made. I use the stand for heavier mics like my (SP) T3 for overheads. It reaches well into and above the drumset thanks to the adjustable height and horizontal arm. The weight keeps the balance very well. Safe for mics and artists, never falls over.

Best price/quality ratiolarge stand

I ordered this microphone stand out of curiosity and I was really surprised and amazed by the quality for this price.

Stand looks and feels sturdy (and heavy), the finish is nice dark grey and screws and arms don't feel cheap. The boom arms have some air in them even when they are screwed, but nothing problematic or worrying. I haven't put really heavy microphones on it yet, but with small condenser overhead mics and boom arm extended to maximum this stand holds with no problem, so larger and heavier microphones should not be a problem. The footprint is quite large, but the legs can be folded to some extent when you don't need full stability.

The top of the stand with boom arm and weight cannot be removed from base unlike other (K&M) stands, but as the stand folds nicely and doesn't take that much space when folded this is not really a problem.

Time will tell more about quality and sturdiness of this stand, but I wouldn't be worried especially if it will be used mostly in studio.

Great product, great price!

5 Stars for Value!

This heavy weight mic stand works very well. I needed a stand with extra height and reach, well this does the job. I think that other more costly types have a smaller footprint which is always desirable, but this price you cannot go wrong in truth.

If your pondering it, I would say just go for it.

This is a bargain!

This stand was one of my best buys. It is a sturdy heavy (very heavy) stand which is not ideal to take around for gigs but is excellent in studio. It will last a lifetime. For the price you can't get anything better.

MS 200

Gold! These are extremely sturdy and solid mic stands. They're very heavy and well built. I have two of these stands and I use them with LDC condenser mics as drum overheads and they've been fantastic. For the price I would say these are a steal!
