Very nice pedal

The iron cobra series have always been my favorite, even the 200 type is a very good pedal in handling and playing fast.

Tama Iron Cobra HP200P Single Pedal

A sufficiently god and active pedal for training. A product corresponding to the price.

Surprisingly good for the price

This kick pedal is a great little unit for the price.

It was easy to set up and adjust (with a regular drum key) and the tension felt great straight out of the box.

The chain drive felt really smooth and gave great transfer of power from the pedal to the beater.

The beater has both a felt and hard side to it (I recommend the hard side on an E-kit to reduce friction and heat build up on the mesh head).

This seems like a sturdy little pedal and is so good I've bought a second one for my practice kit.

Well worth considering.

Can't go wrong with Tama

Like the title of my review says: you can't go wrong with the Tama Iron Cobra. Drums are not my main instrument so I was looking for something middle of the road, trustworthy. I found it in this pedal. Build quality is fine, has all features one could reasonably expect from a kick pedal in this price range. The only downside is that it started squeeking quite soon, but that's nothing a few drops of oil couldn't fix.

In short: would recommend.
