Rockin sound

I have used Tannoy speakers for years... My precision 6d finally died and was looking for a replacement. These fit the bill perfectly. More bass, more open and natural sounding, overall great...

Fantastic

There is an incredible amount of 'bang for your buck' here

Pro's - unbelievable separation and clarity of placing, even frequency volume across the range, neutral bass and treble (may be a bit harsh for some, but it is just giving it as it is), brilliant bass, great connections both balanced and unbalanced, useful high and lo attenuation,

Con's: very slight hiss if not being used - but this is not noticeable once you start using it.

Used for: monitoring of soundscapes and music mixing; presentation of sound installations in small galleries.

I cannot recommend highly enough. Perfect for my needs.

Dissapinted

I bought these because i read many good reviews online about good and tight bassresponse. I wanted these as a compliment to my current monitorsetup (smaller genelecs). I set them up next to my genelecs with a nowsonic switcher and began playing familiar recordings. And i hate to say but i was disapointed. Shure, i could feel the bass but i couldnt quite hear it, it would be difficult making mix decisions on these in the bass area. The top end was a little better but a bit harsh, they say gennies are harsh but compared to these the gennies are very smooth. The soundstage was shallow, not alot of depth making reverb decisions difficult. But for recording, songwriting e.t.c you cuold use these but for mixing i wouldnt use these.

My beloved monitors.

I like them really much and they sound quite transparent and natural to me. Biamped 100w (75w low and 25w hi)gives them enough juice to rock your world at loud levels. Frequency range is exceptional 42Hz-43kHz, so it does go really low and you might not even want extra sub for these bad boys.

Built quality is very solid and they look really nice.

Fabulous....

Replaced my KRK Rokit 5's with these as I wanted something that could handle bass better.

Great bass response & fabulous all round sound, built quality seems great, very slight mains hum, but not noticeable unless close with nothing playing.

Superb speakers.
