Finally a booster that does what it's supposed to

Very easy to use, super reliable.

I've been using it for a year, after trying 2 other "clean boosts". Both previous units I tried coloured the sound and boosted way too much way too fast, not allowing for fine tuning. I use it in my loop, post preamp and always on. It gives not only the boost I need but it also drives the power amp a bit harder and pushes the lead sound towards a more creamy and glued texture, very pleasant.

Very practical and simple to use!

I like the fact that it is small and very quiet. With only one knob I just had to think where I would put it in on my signal chain.

Advantages:

Very Small - It fits everywhere in your pedalboard.

The price off course!

Disadvantages:

It hasn't got memory on when switched off. This is a little boring when you are using it on a rack system.

just makes your sound...better!

got this boost at the end of the pedalboard chain. simply great, loads of volume boost, really makes the guitar come to life through the mix. the switch is not like the other "normal" pedals, doesn't actually click, and you can just rest your foot on it to keep it temporarily active to boost a small phrase and then release it, or just press it once to turn it on as usual.

looks great too! tc electronic quality in small size and price, would surely recommend it to anyone.

Spark Mini - the mini that becomes HUGE!

I use it at the end of my pedalboard and it just makes everything go to 11!!

Very easy to use and the best function is the momentary footswitch. You just step on it and keep pressin during the solo or embelishment, as soon as you remove your feet the pedal shuts! Amazing and very usefull in a gig.

All of this for under 50¤?!? Is a no brainer of a deal.

Kicking myself I never got this earlier - has a definite "Wow! factor"

I never really thought about a booster pedal before. I was always drawn to the 'fancy' pedals to change the sound and could not really see the point of the booster pedals.

Plugged this in and straight away was hit with the "Wow! factor", the guitar signal I know was boosted but sounded so much more resonant and clear and also made the rest of the effect box chain sound so much better, which makes sense as it is giving so much more signals for the other pedals to work with.

Not sounding like I am overstating it, but it was like plugging in new guitars. Without it, straight away the guitars sound much duller and lifeless. I could not imagine not using one of these now.

I was so impressed I also bought it's big brother and use this mini-pedal mid-chain having the big brother direct from the guitar driving the chain and now getting a sound I could only have dreamed of and for not a lot of money.

Can only highly recommend this, you have to get one ..... or two.

TC Electronic Spark Mini Booster

The Spark Mini Booster is a no frills, clean, clear, gain boost. The "Discreet Analog Circuit" description suggests a single transistor in class A configuration and 20dB of gain is a serious amount. My requirement is for a massive boost to the input of a (now obsolete) Phil Jones Bass Sixpak Combo which still indicated -25dB with the input cranked fully up with a passive vintage bass in the passive input channel. I can just get it on 0dB and a green indicator now without ever going into red. TC live up to their reputation for exceptionally good quality and design with low noise. Perfect!

BOOST

Great booster for the price without much sound coloring, small size, it's a godsend on crowded pedal boards. overall nice product.

Solid pedal, simple and to the point.

I really love this pedal. Its great value for money, one knob, easy to use and fits nicely on any pedalboard. You also get a lot of headroom when using it, for me when its set at 9 o'clock it matches my amp volume so that will tell you how much room you have to come up in volume for lead sections.

Tiny but powerful

I had a problem how to get louder volume when I play the guitar solos. Also I had not too much space in my pedalboard.

I wanted a booster pedal for this task in the effect loop of my Marshall JCM900 head.

I already knew TC Electronic products have a great quality and clean sound so my I have chosen this little monster.

It is rigid, solid and beautiful. The momentary switch is perfect, the PrimeTime option is amazing. I didn't regret buying this pedal at all. It gives a massive 20 dB boost, tho I only need around 6 dB boost. When the pedal is off it doesn't alter the original sound in any way thanks for the True Bypass circuit.

I've put the Spark Mini Booster in the amp's fx loop after the delay but before the reverb.

Nice boost

Really really good clean booster. It's great to bring up clean as well as driven parts. Only one pot and a really reduced size, you really don't need anything else. It adds a bit of colour, I don't know how to describe it but it's great. I use it at the end of my chain but it works pretty much anywhere.

The option of holding the switch to boost only a small part part is really handy and personally I use it a lot, it's a relieve to don't have to press the switch twice anymore (I'm lazy!).

It also works great taking a driven valve amp over the edge.

Love the pedal and love the company! I would buy this again, actually thinking about getting a second one to have two different boost volumes available.

This pedal does the job that its supposed to with no strings attached, its a clean boost that is compact and easy to use. It doesnt colour tone in any way, it just raises the volume depending on how much you crank up the single level knob. Great results at a great price in my opinion.

reduced to the max...

The TC Electonic Spark Mini is a Booster pedal which does exactly what it is meant to be without having to put in great efforts in order to get the results wanted.

The pedal is quite small (roughtly like 2 matchboxes glued together), so there are no problems fitting it on your fx-borad whereever you need it (mine is usually very packed with pedals bit the Spark seems to always find its place).

The case is solid metal with a big plastic knob which regulates the boost (aka a volume knob) and a standard TC switch. These are very light-going and feel softer than standard switches, so you don't have to use much force on it. Add an input and output as well as a power cable input and thats all about it.

Almost all, a very bright white LED indicates if the booster is on or of.

Don't be fooled by it's small size, the spark has lots of power and can boost your signal up to the moon.

It also doesn't add noise to your sound or changes it (at least I haven't heard any differences so far), so it's perfect. Just plug into your FX chain, set volume boost and you're done.

Great compact clean boost pedal

Very well designed boost pedal which delivers a clean and transparent boost of up to 20 dB! The sound stays clean and uncolored throughout the boost making it ideal for boosting during solos or simply for switching between volumes (this is not a distortion pedal). The automatic Prime-Time function is also very useful allowing you to boost the signal only while the foot switch is held pressed down. This is a nice alternative to the usual latching switch on/off boost (which is also available on this pedal). The only thing it lacks is tone sculpting knobs which its bigger brother (the spark booster) has. However, for a boost pedal this has all you really need. The pedal is true bypass and extremely compact making it a great addition to any pedal board. This is my go-to boost pedal for 'everyday use'. I would highly recommend this nice and very well designed little pedal!

Makes every amp sound better. I have it on all the time, especially when using rental amps that might have tired tubes, it brings clarity and just a little sparkle to your clean sound. Very good to boost a distorded amp too.

Small on the pedalboard and light -always nice-, I highly recommand to try it, you might find what you didn't know you were missing.

A pretty good booster

Okay, let us quickly discuss the quality and look the the mini Spark. It's well built, don't get fooled by the small box design. The layout is awesome and i must admit, it is one of the most beautiful looking pedals I have in my collection. Soundwise it is a one trick pony, of course. It's your decision if you want to put it in front of your overdrive, which increases the overdrive ratio, or if you want to put it behind your overdrive, which leaves the overdrive ratio untouched, but increases the volume. This little pedal is loud - really loud. To boost solos, it is absolutely sufficient to out the knob on 9h. But beware, The pedal is not too noisy. With a strat you get a nice growl a la SRV and the Les Paul gets tickled enough to deliver some very smooth overdrive. The pedal leaves your signal intouched and it doesn't change your initial guitar sound too much. In fact it highlights the guitar's character very well. Overall, it really is a very good boost pedal.

TC Spark Mini

This is a great little pedal, well made, very good price. I was looking for something as a "Solo", "Lead sound" boost. I placed it in the front of the amp and on clean it was just great, however on my dirty channel it did give me a bit more grunt but not enough volume boost. I placed it as the last pedal in my effects loop and it's amazing. So easy to adjust, with-in minutes you can set it so your "Solo's" stands out. Awesome pedal. It's so nice to buy a pedal that does what you want it to do. BUY IT.
