Unbeatable for this price

We bought 3 of these for our rehearsal space and are very happy about the quality, volume and frequency restitution of the wedges. For the kind of price these go for, it's quite unbeatable!

Best buy! Absolutely better than expected!

This Box is well crafted, and has a very nice number of features.

In comparison to some more expensive PA speaker it lacks in power but not in sound wich is perfect and very comfortable for a monitor.

Great for use with guitar modeler, better than the most famous speaker. Wood cabinet is a little heavier but for the use with a modeler is near perfect.

Absolutely a best buy, the only thing that's cheap is the price

Good monitor!

I was searching for 2 monitors to hook in our community church for our band to hear themselves. I must this was a well aced purchsed from me. The monitor is cheap and it works like a charm. I use them for vocals monitor with some pianos and acoustic guitar on it. It responds well and it does what is says on the description. The only thing im dissapointed about is the metal case in front, one of the monitors arrived with a metal case front speaker bented i dont' know if it was the courrier's fault but other than that this is a good and valid well made monitor for the budget. I definitely reccomend it to everyone who want to use some monitors on their live sounding but doesnt want to spend a fortune on it.

Great active monitor

Great active monitor! A little big and heavy for solo or duos but ideal for bands! Massive sound, perfect use of the equalization, robust and strong material, great design. I think it's the best regarding price/quality! Very pleased with him.

Great monitor for any studio!

I own 2 of these and they are highly recommended. I have used for an electric drum kit, guitar, and vocals. Loud and clear every time. Currently using to provide stereo, flat speakers for a Line 6 Helix and these really provide. Suitable for most halls due to decent power! Overall highly recommended.

Fantastic Active Loadspeaker !

The Box. In one word says it all. All in one place. Lines, design, processing and finis. It is amazing, how is it possible that such a high-quality active monitor can be bought for this money. Really very cheap, very little money for this miracle of monitors, which has all the necessary inputs and outputs on it, also has a very high-quality amplifier ... all components of which are constructed and assembled this active box with a speaker 12 "are excellent. Power, sound quality, timbre ... everything's internal plus miker which is in the form of potentiometers right next to the entrance and exit. Ingenious

Perfect little gigging combo

As a solo singer/guitarist I needed a simple yet effective standalone PA system.

This one delivered as I could plug in both my guitar and mic and have control over each of the channels with no need for a seperate mixer.

The only down side to this is the lack of reverb, however this is technically a drum monitor and a simple pedal supplies all of the reverb I need.

Very sturdy, great quality

Would recommend if you are a drummer looking for a monitor. Cheap price means you can buy multiple ones for a low price.

You get your bang for the buck

I have 4 of these in my studio and quite simply, for what you pay, you get hell of a lot of sound. Obviously there are better monitors out there, but for the price, these are simply unbeatable.

Works as monitor/PA for smaller club gigs

Overall an excellent monitor. Basic settings for LF/MF/HF frequencies and line/mic output. If daisy-chained with the passive counterpart, which I highly recommend, this works as a PA system for smaller clubs and private gigs. Good bass output.

I have personally used this as the sound system for gigs where I play with electric drums and it has performed wonderfully.

Do remember that with most rigs you'll need an instrument jack male - spikon male cable to connect this to your mixers monitor output.

I have the MA120 for a while now. I am very satisfied with it! Whether for a singer / songwriter concert as full-range speakers or as a floor monitor - it works in every application perfect! Only to complain about is the handle. They could be a little longer and felt more stable! But for the price, the MA120 is really unbeatable! Even with the two inputs are separately adjustable and the EQ - everything runs like clockwork! In the bass range, it could be a little stronger, but with a few subtle EQ settings this is solved quickly! But you should use them only in rooms - for outdoor use, it is only conditionally recommended due to their felt-cover.

Great loud, perfect for monitor for drummer

This is a great speaker, solid build, powerful sound. I use this as a drummer monitor and it cuts through all the stage noise. It has its own EQ to help cut feedback and reduce bass end bleeding back onto stage.

Its a great tool to have in you set up as I see no reason why this can not be used as a main PA speaker for a smaller room.

One slight niggle is the handle. there is little to no give to it so it will squash your hand to the cabinet making it uncomfortable to carry and lift. Hopefully with time it will stretch and soften.

I would recommend also adding the nylon cover to protect it when not in use.

I have read some reviews talking about weird connections. It uses standard XLR. So you can plug a mic directly into it, or line level from a desk. Not weird at all.

I have used for three piece drum, bass and guit rock band for smallish gigs up to 300 capacity, but would be comfortable using this as a monitor for bigger gigs. The sound reaches my drummer so that should not change.

Also its fine for acoustic as a PA, but it will not thump the bass if you want that sort of thing. But then again, it never claimed to.

Good little monitor

This is a doodle to move, its so light and relatively small. I took it straight to a gig and have used it twice with my band and I'm currently letting my college students use it in the band room.

Theres not much hiss, I couldn't really hear if it was on and cranked it up loud at its first sound check. It can handle some pretty impressive volume. Theres a clip light which is super useful. It also would work as small PA for acoustic sets.

Every one seems surprised how little is cost. Its well made and looks like it will last and at this price if some thing happens to it I'll just throw it away and buy another.

The grill is substantial, but the carpet is a little thin. However, it does feel up to the job and shouldn't soak up too much beer (we play some hectic gigs!). The handles are tiny though. I can't get my hand fully through them. This is a shame as loading two out would be a easy due to the weight. I'm going to order some more so the drummer and guitarist can have a wedge each. I certainly can see them benefit of having a few more monitors on stage and these are small, good quality and cheap so it won't be a big investment.

Does What it says on the boss

I am yet to play a gig with the monitor but I have been using them as mains speakers for my rehearsal room for the past few weeks and can't fault them. Very loud for their size and quite easy to carry. Just enough scope to dial in frequencies. Overall I'm very impressed with this product and will probably either buy more of them or try its passive brother .

A good little box of sound

This piece of kit is exactly what you'd want in a budget monitor speaker. It is suitable for stage-level monitoring of everything I've put through it, which is a whole big band minus drums and bass.

The sound is decent if processed properly first (used as a monitor with a separate mixer), although the lack of EQ available when using a microphone direct is definitely an inconvenience. It'd also be nice to have a jack input somewhere, but the feature-set is definitely plenty for essentially any situation, particularly given that it costs so little.

MA120 Monitor

I have had this monitor for a while now and used it for many gigs. It is a great product with good clear sound for vocals and it has stood up to transportation very well. Excellent value.

Very Good Value

My rock covers band needed an active monitor for our drummer. We went for the MA120 MK

one as it seemed reasonably priced, and had the features we needed. We have not been disappointed, it has been a reliable and good sounding monitor for three years without a problem. Our drummer is happy because he can always hear the kick drum and the singer´s voice clearly, no matter how loud we play! We feed a line level signal from the ´pre-amp´out send of our Behringer mixer into the balanced ´line in´XLR input, as simple as that.

This monitor has also come in handy when we have played ´unplugged´style gigs, and you don´t want to lug about a mixer/power amp. You just plug the mic straight into the mic input and you´re away! (of course, this means you need to bring an effects unit if you want reverb, etc). Overall, very happy with this purchase.

great value for money

fantastic piece of kit. Had the cube before this but it just didnt have the power needed for a band settings. This goes out with us 5 nights a week, from really loud venues to quieter ones. Also robust.

Excellent personal monitor

I gig regularly with an acoustic trio and was just never 100% confident while playing/singing so I decided to buy myself a monitor and am I happy I did! It is pretty light and has a handle for easy handling, sound quality is nice and crisp and the volume is more than enough, I am so much more confident with my vocals now as I can hear everything and not having to stick a finger in my ear to actually hear myself :) very happy indeed!
