Does the job

It's a simple wedge model. Solid build and quite heavy but does a good job. I use it with a Box powered monitor and there's that lovely old school feeling of having a pair of wedges in front of the band.

Great little wedge. Clear sound and it packs a punch.

Passive monitor speaker

When paired with the powered monitor it is excellent...very sturdy and good sound.

Great performing speakers

I use these on stands in my small rehearsal room. They have been great for my electric kit and vocals.

Better than expected

Been using it for 2 months now. So far, so good. Had to EQ a bit (not much, more like tuning it to the room), but clean and loud. Sound is quite decent. I was pleasantly surprised. And for the price? Come on! It is a steal! For a backup, or for monitoring, even if you are on a budget, just EQ it, and it will serve you well.

I have 2 of these monitors now and every time i use them the more i like them. Im using them with the Behringer MK750 at 200w at 8ohm. Will be getting 2 more.

pros:

Their light

Their pretty loud for what they are

Cons:

The carpet is not that durable as its easily ruined

The speaker grill is rather flexible and easily caved in.

Other than that i would recommend!!

Good value

I use 4 of them in an outside bar together with one subwoofer off 300w and 4 jbl control1 pro.

Good speaker for their price.

Solid build and nice music quality.

A little bit more bas should be nice but the pre amp can fix this.

Cheap, Cheerful, Cuddly

OK, not cuddly. Used as an extension speaker to a Box MA 120 Mkll. It makes the right noises.

Pros: bargain price, seems well constructed, decent carpet cover, decent feet, top hat mount, speakon combi connectors.

Cons: not spectacularly loud (113db, but remember you would normally be close to it).

Conclusion: thoroughly recommend it. Just don't expect it to be JBL killer.

Value for money

The wood case is a bonus at this price point & feels well put together. Just 2 connections, in & out. I use these with their active counterparts for drum (acoustic & electronic) and bass monitors. The musicians have enough volume for contemporary church worship and are happy that they hear the bass frequencies which they couldn't with our previous monitors.

Bargain!!!

Small, compact but very reliable monitor with a nice and linear sound.

Strongly recommend for bands, Dj's, and any other application required.

It is extremely lightweight and easy to carry and takes up very little space, yet is quite powerful.

For the price, it's a bargain!

Using live performances

very easy to use, so light to carry, sound quality not bad for acoustic performances. I am using 6 days in a week for live performances. It is durable.

Built like a tank

I bought this to extend its active sibling. I think it is indestructible. Sound quality is perfectly acceptable for a unit at this price.

Serves as both a floor monitor and a PA speaker. The cover was more expensive that the cover for the larger active version, so I bought two of those.

Like all 'the Box' equipment I have bought it is good value for money.

Handy Multi Purpose Speaker

I've bought a few of these. We use them mainly as monitor speakers, but also as main PA for small gigs when less power is needed.

They sit on the floor on rubber feet or they mount on speaker stands.

Small enough to make storage and transit easy but big enough to give a decent quality sound.

I particularly like the input/output sockets which take either a standard jack or a Speakon plug.

Great Monitor

Excellent value for money.

Highly recommended.

a solid bargain!

Ideal for my intended use of an oldies disco in a smallish pub. Plenty of volume from a 2 x 100W amplifier, just some judicial eq (or a sub) needed to supplement the lightweight bass.

Seem to be well made, easy to fit in a small car and very manageable weight.

Don't forget to buy Speakon plugs or leads as that is the only connection option.

Well used and working fine

A good robust speaker that has served me well. I have been pleased with Box branded items I have bought. They have delivered good quality and performance without breaking the bank

Good passive monitor

Nice, sturdy 12 ?inch passive monitor with spikon/instrument cable jack adapter. Works great with any active monitor or even as a PA ?speaker connected directly to the mixer speaker input as I occasionally use it. It pairs real well with The Box MA120 MKII active monitor.

Thick and durable metal mesh protects the speaker elements, and I can personally vouch that it's good enough to withstand being dropped from atop stairs and hitting a large potted plant. The thick clay pot cracked, the mesh doesn't even have a dent in it.

Can be put in stand, if the stage has limited floorspace.
