It is the second Joyo hybrid head I buy. This one aims to emulate the British Orange amplifiers sound (the highlighted letters in the name are a dead giveaway). I have used it with both a 1x12" cabin and using headphones. The headphone emulation could have been a little better (minus one star for the sound) but this is common. It is workable though, even after long-ish sessions, the sound is not getting tiring to my ears. The head really shines connected to a cabin. There it approximates the Orange sound quite nicely and it is a pleasure to play with. Despite the small size, this amp can get LOUD. It can also be used in bedroom volume. Considering that it comes with Bluetooth connectivity AND a sturdy footswitch, the value for money is really, really good. Definitely recommended as a...

The small size is definitely misleading, as this little amp is loud! And it sounds like an Orange. I really like it for a nice warm clean sound, or a slightly overdriven crunch. Also works really well with an overdrive pedal going in the pre-amp. I bought it for playing at home, so I don't know how it would do in a band practice or live gig situation. The only reason I give it 4 stars for sound is the headphone output. Not that it sounds bad, but it has its (expected for an amp this size!) limitations. Considering the volume and good sound, I'd imagine it would do rather well! Totally happy with it!

I use this amp head with some pedals, plugged into a 2x12 cab. I couldn't tell you how loud it gets, since I never even past the half-way point. That's more than loud enough for me. When I unboxed the amp I was again surprised by how small it actually is. I've watched quite a few review before buying it, but still... It's almost toy-like in size, like a miniature for on a shelf, showing you're a VOX-fan. But when I first plugged it in and turned it on I completely forgot about the size. It sounds amazing. Just really nice. Even though this is the clean version, it reacts to your playing. It feels "real" so to speak. You can push it a bit to get some more punch, you can ease off a little to get some cleaner tones. It sounds great, it sounds big, it sounds like it shouldn't...

I mostly like to play metal but I mostly have the time when my son is sleeping So the idea was to have a "baby" amp with tons of gain but at quiet volume instead of having a big configuration like Tube Amp into load box into audio interface into monitors speakers / headset. Therefore, I wanted an amp that can chug and that can do bedroom usage. On the first point: Awesome, this little amp sounds actually good. It chugs as hell with tons of gain: I like it On the 2d point, this amp is LOUD. How this tiny lunch box can deliver so much power ? That's just insane. With the volume at noon on a 1x12 it chugs the hole room as never. Conclusion: If you are looking for something amazing that chugs as never with tons of gain & volume, this is definitively an amp to consider....

Joyo Jackman II

For the money, unbeatable. Not quite the drive of top brand 20w valve amps but a quarter the price. Its my backup for a Marshall and the sound is very similar. Personal choice I would rather it had a line out than an effects loop. But that’s just me. Great amp. Definitely well worth the money. Played through a cab with 2x Celestion V30s it sounds great. Would suit me for a gig if my Marshall failed but would need to mic the cab as it would struggle otherwise. Hence line out would have been good for me.

I play metal. This is a tiny Mesa Boogie clone. It plays metal too. Obvious jokes aside, this little thing is awesome. It's not a straight-up clone of the mkV. More like an ideal mix between a few boxes. Overall distortion has a boogie character but is tighter than you would expect. It really benefits from hitting the front with a boost. A clean boost preferably. Materials feel sturdy. Nothing feels cheap ( except the comically large BT antenna I guess ). The serial FX loop works as expected. The direct ( cab emulated ) out sounds ... good enough. A raw output would have been nicer than an emulated one but it's built for headphone practice, not recording directly, ultimately. It sounds fabulous on a Benton v30 and even better on more serious cabs. Where it fails, and why it gets 5 stars...

Orange Micro Dark

Bought this originally for home use with a 1x12 Celestion Greenback, but this is definitely made for more. Loudness: If you're wondering if this has enough volume for your bedroom, the answer is clear. YES! Especially if you like to crank the gain. For some it would maybe be too loud with a 12" speaker as you need to reach a certain volume to get a good tone. The volume knob is really sensitive at the first quarter so it's either no volume, or a lot of volume. This is also powerful enough gor gigs, and you can connect it to a 4x12 with no problem. Tone: The tones on this thing is amazing, even compared to the more expensive amps. Even though it's a hybrid it sounds like an all-valve. Honestly, most people wouldn't even hear the difference. It's versitile too. Grab a stratocaster...

The Jackman is arguably the best amp in the joyo bantamp range. It sounds great and is well built with a metal construction. I have had stacks of fun playing it and the tones it has offers a great similarity to the Marshall JCM at a fraction of the price. The inclusion of an effects loop is huge too and the bluetooth compatibility allows it to operate as a reasonable practice amp. However, if anyone is going to use it for bedroom playing, it's much too loud (in my opinion) and is better suited to jamming with friends in an environment where noise control isn't an issue. I'm using mine with a Harley Benton 1x12 cabinet and the sound at 1/4 volume is more than enough to fill a room on the OD channel. Hopefully this gives anyone looking to buy the Jackman a decent picture of what this...
