Lovely tiny little guitar

You want the classic guitar experience, but can't be bothered to take the big Guitar? Then have some fun with this tiny thing, great price, great quality, really enjoyable sound, just wish it had a Piezo Pickup like my Ukebass, probably going to order a kit and modify my Ukeguitar.

The UkeBass and UkeGuitar now tend to live right beside me on my sofa, for easy grab and play when I have an Idea, just remember that the Ukeguitar plays as if you had a Capo on the 5th fret of a classic guitar.

cheap but good!

it's a good toy, a little too simple in details and in varnish, I would expect at least a rosette around the hole ...

highly recommend aquila red series strings (keeps the tuning in A and the sound became deep and full)

Tuners works quite well... and the woods are touch-pleasing. you cannot expect more at this price.

Bought this for my son, use it more myself

This is a really nice little guitar to play around with. I really can't fault it.

Very inspiring instrument

This guitarlele has made me write music in a very different manner, a pleasant manner.

Fun instrument to play

This Guitalele was a gift, so I played it only few days.

Cons: build quality is a bit worse than what one might expect seeing photos of Yamaha GL1. No color and no lacquer on a few spots on the back of the body and overall finish could be much better.

Pros: very playable instrument and a lot of fun to play. Sound is OK. It is lightweight and easy to carry around.

Even though build finish is subpar, I would recommend this instrument.

erg tevreden met deze guitalele!

Erg goede guitalele voor een beginner. Zeker in vergelijking met de prijs ervan! Mooie klank en afwerking.

Why do I have this only now?

It's just a lot of fun to play, it has it's own tone characteristic being all solid wood and I could even record sounding pretty decent. Since it's so small it turns out to be the one which is picked up all the time and played on the most.

low quality strings

my G string was worn badly after 2 days of playing, everything is fine other than that. recommend purchasing extra strings to replace to the original ones

With a high 4th string your Ukulele group can't refuse you

Brilliant ukulele for a guitar player to fit quickly into a ukulele group. Finger-board works great with guitar chords! Only drawback is the slightly rough body edges, which might require some 'retro sanding' and varnishing. Overall though; a brilliant little guitarlele, complete with a high 4th string!

Bought the Guitalele as a sailboat guitar.

Great travel guitar with deep and lovely sound that you do not expect from the instrument of her size!

Good quality/price ratio.

At first i thought it will be impossible to take chords with my wurst-like fingers but surprisingly i got used to it very fast.

Before buying you need to take into account that her standard tune is 2.5 tone higher than 6-string guitar' tune. (A-D-G-C-E-A versus E-A-D-G-B-E). Just put capo on the 5th fret of your 6-string guitar and you will get close to what Guitalele is.

Anyway she is really lovely and the most compact guitar I ever had. Definitely worth the asking money.

Just fantastic.

It's hard to understand how an instrument like this can be sold at the price. This is not a toy, it's an actual real instrument. Bought it for my kid but I play it once in a while and love it. Buy it for your kid, to travel with, or just tinker around for fun once in a while. You can't go wrong with this one.

The perfect practice guitar

I keep raving about this one. When I started playing the guitar, I got a dreadnought, nothing too expensive. It was great! It's pretty loud and slightly unwieldy though, so I noticed I only played the thing for an hour on a Friday when no one was home.

I made some progress, but it was slow.

At this price, the Yamaha GL1 seemed like quite the bargain so I thought: Heh, why not just pick it up?

Boy am I glad I did. This thing just lays around the house, and I seem to pick it up whenever I have a few minutes. Playing the guitar became PLAYING the guitar.

Now, by the time I play something on the dreadnought, I've probably already played it 20 times on this thing. It plays wonderful, resonates like crazy and truly is an instrument, not a toy.

Sure, some people would classify this as a travel guitar. Not me though. To me, this is the perfect practice guitar.

It's been so good, that right now, I'm eyeing the Cordoba Mini Series. A different price class, but the form factor is really ideal for anyone looking to gain some practice.

Good little companion

Build quality/tone/playability is much better than I expected for the instrument in that price range. The gigbag is nice, usefull. The frets are not nicely polished, but can be fixed easily. Many hours of fun with this little instrument. And now I can also jam with my 3 year old :)

Every home should have one.

I bought two of these for my grandchildren. Everyone who tried them (the guitar, not the grandchildren) could hardly put them down. It's just a really well made instrument to have fun with and sounds very sweet indeed.

Bearing in mind the quality of these tiny instruments, they are an absolute bargain!

Definitely NOT a Toy

I initially bought this as a novelty instrument but quickly realised it is a real and very useable instrument. It sounds great and is very loud for such a small instrument. I would definitely recommend the Yamaha GL1!

Great little guitar

Feels nice under the fingers. Sounds great for the size of it. Well made, nice finish and sturdy build.I have mine for about 4 years now and I love it. Perfect travel guitar. I would buy another if I ever lost or broke this one.

Durable little guitar

I bought this guitarlele as a travel guitar for me and as a fooling around guitar for my small children. In ukulele style strumming the sound is nice but in classical guitar style the sound is a bit dry because of the small size of the guitar and the fact that it is all laminate.

Guitar is well made and finished and playability was good straight out of the box. The guitar is ultra durable, the kids have stander on top of it banged it all around. There are multiple dings all over the guitar but no serious damages.

This guitar is not a toy but still it lasts even in the hands of small future guitarists and the sound is far better than the plastic guitar/ukuleles. In addition it is nice coach/travel guitar that also allows you to practise ukulele stuff.
