Great sound

I've had this splash for a couple of months and I use it for everything. It made me more creative on the set. Great cymbal.

Great for splash new-comers

Let's face it, if you are looking at this you propably dont have a slash cymbal yet. This is really good tokinda get familliar with aplying slashes into your playing.

The sound is crisp and has a short sustain. The pitch is pretty bright and it works wel with the 10 inch version.

Honestly, ath this price it's unbeatable. Unless you are looking for a really special sound, it's gonna get the job done.

Good product

For the price, the cymbal is great. It get's some time to get used to it, but the sound is good. Would recommend

Sounds nice in recordings.

Sits in the mix quite nicely. Wasn't expecting much due to price but pleasantly surprised by the effect.

Fun little thing

It is what u pay really.

But!

I mounted it right next to my hh cymbal and i gotta say it has become more fun than ever to play those doubles or paradidles .

Would recommend if ur on a budget .

My kit becomes way more interesting whit little elements like this .

Not so great to use by itself

I would not use this cymbal by itself. Not a great sound out of it, but that's to be expected for the price. I use this cymbal with a 10" cymbal and I think it sounds great as a stack. I also put this cymbal on my snare drum as a weight/clap effect. Gives the drum a nice trashy, muted sound (if that makes sense). I keep this cymbal in my cymbal bag, if you get creative with it you can get some really interesting sounds.

Overall not a great cymbal, but it's affordability and size makes it quite useful if you're willing to get creative.

Couldn't be more happy

I bought the 8" and 10" version after reading all the good reviews and listening to the sound clips. When I received it I got a little sceptical since the 8" felt a bit thick, but when I played it, it sounded amazing. Very quick and crystal clear sound. Better than the sound clip. Not as "gongy" even if was a bit thick. Both sounded perfect.

I love this cymbal

It's cheap but doesn't sound bad! It isn't as sharp and cutting as the higher end splashes, but nevertheless, it sounds cool and can be used in a high-end cymbal set-up. Good value for money.

Zultan 08" Aja Splash

Not a good sounding splash. So I bought a second one and made a small hihat.

A perfectly acceptable splash cymbal

I did not expect much from this cymbal, but I was almost shocked with its sound. It sounds great, especially for the price. I can recommend it without hesitation.

I just love this splash

First time I bought this crash, I just love it. I prefer the sound of it over some way more premium splash on the market. It has really quick response and it's just great to use it for some unexpectedly placed licks in a groove. It's no too loud, blends in perfectly with the rest of the kit.

I was looking for a very specific short splash sound and fortunately found this... and it's dirt cheap!

Pros: Exactly the sound I was looking for - listen to the sound examples - they are pretty accurate. Value deal - even if you don't love it, can't beat the price.

Cons: Although quality is a lot better than what I'd expect at this price, it's far from perfect. But at this price point - can't complain.

Good sound for the price.

Clean sharp sound, like a traditional splash sound from b20 bronze, but in terms of price / sound ratio, it's worth to purchase. Beware quality, you can see that they were forged by hand, with tired, callused hands. Small defects are visible, in the form of roughness or scratches.

Best buy ever

I have never been cheap when it comes to cymbals, but I received Zultan aja 8 splash as a gift . I was sceptical at first but it worked great with my Sabian AAX/HHX cymbals and it lasted for two years of very aggressive play so I ordered another.

I try to avoid cheap cymbals because in 99% of the case they dont last or sound good , but with Zultan Aja 8 splash I had this was not the case...Try it .
