Good set to start with

Only thing I don't like is how it's hard to control the Hi-Hat controller, but it's fun to edit the user kits.

Great budget drums to connect to the PC

Really good kit for the price. Once connected to the Drum VST, it's awesome! Also I really enjoy the mesh heads vs rubber ones. Definitely recommend!

Good stuff

It's good. But I recommend to everybody, look for a drum set in a store, not online.

Amazing drum kit for suitable price

I was really surprized when got Nitro Mesh Kit. Great responsiveness, good pads quality and drum module with built-in sounds despite I play through DAW and SSD, SD libraries and VSTs.

Pros:

- compact design,

- good mesh quality,

- easy to assembly,

- good midi responsiveness and sensitivity

Cons:

- low quality hi hat control pedal, I am not using its functionality in general.

- bass drum pedal with not adjustible beater

- short cords, so you can't put drum module to the right side etc, or anywhere else outside drum set

I would recommend this drum kit for beginners or whoever want to check e-drum experience with ability for future upgrade

good drums!

I bought these drums to record demos and they do it well! I want to add that the kick pad is not quite suitable for playing with a double pedal, some hits disappear or are quiet, but in general everything sounds OK.

"United parcel service" punched through the box where the module was inside. Fortunately, the module was not damaged!

great kit to start off

I've been playing the kit for 2 months now and I'm still impressed. I did a lot of research before buying and was a bit worried about all the negative comments about sound and stuff, but I have no complaints. Sounds are great, quality is superb and the learning tracks are very useful. Best of all are the mesh heads. I've played plastic pads before and the mesh heads do not compare. They really feel like acoustic drums!

The only downside is that the kit is a bit low, even for me at 1.72. 10cm extra would have been perfect, but I fixed that by extending the legs with 4 thick wooden poles. Check YouTube for help, that's where I got it.

Great for practice and jam sessions

I use these drums for both practice and jamming with friends. Plug your over the ear headphones or some acoustic system, and you will get an good response from the drums. The kicking and drum hitting can be heard in adjacent rooms, but it's a minor inconvenience for others.

The playability is great. My friend, who is an actual drummer, suggested these, as they give the same feel, as playing acoustic drums. When I sat down at acoustic drums, I was quite adjusted to them, thanks to Mesh Kit.

Features, are good, I can plug my headphones and practice rudiments with the built in metronome, which is so-so, but for practice, it gets the job done. You get the set in the picture, and some drum sticks. I recommend buying a drum throne and some monitoring headset for these drums. You can hook up your laptop with this set, using USB type-a to type-b cable (not included) and use them as a MIDI input device, on your favorite drum software. Also, the Line-In allows you to hook up your phone or other audio player and play along your favorite tracks, using simple audio cable.

Sound seems synthetic, although it's not that bad, but you can clearly hear the difference on acoustic drums. There are about 20 built in presets, of which I personally use 5 of these. I mostly practice to play rock/metal in far future, as drums is not my primary instrument of choice,

On quality, I must say, that this is a very well built kit. When you get it together, it will stay that way, dont forget to use the cable ties, some of them are actually included in the set. Also, don't forget to use carpet which sticks to Hook-and-loop (velcro). The pedals are already equipped with the sticky hook part and together with a quality carpet, you won't have any unnecessary movement.

On other notes, I was surprised on how little space the drum set uses. This is perfect for an apartment building. And from what I have heard, It's easy to pack this drums up, after playing and put them somewhere, where it won't bother anyone.

Optimal price/quality ratio.Very vice drum kit !

I have bought this kit as an alternative for the Tama classic drum set wich are too noisy in my rehearsal room.Spending some money for noise isolator blocking walls I considered that would be more expensive than buying another electronic kit...so I have bought this one after long searches and comparing trough different models, and I think I made the best choice .

Pros : You can setup each element of the drum to sound like you want (volume, pitch, pan, reverb, eq).

You can assign and change in between each element from all the preset kits and voices you have inside (for ex: you can put the snare from kit 1, the hi-hat from kit 12, the crash fom kit 3 ,etc in one user wich you can save)

You can make for example the tom1 to sound like the ride,or assign any other sounds you have inside ,on each element of the drums.

The kick drum pedal feels like real one ,it is not an electric contact like on other electronic drums.

You have the rim on the snare drum too wich you can assign as you wish.

You can put the pedal of your hi-hat in any comfortable position for your foot.

You can stop the crash sound with the hand.

You can add 2 more extra trigger elements on yoir kit You have 2 extra inputs.

Cons: The stand rack is a little bit too small in my opinion. They could make it a little bit higher or adjustable in height and maybe 10-20 cm wider. It looks like a kids drum rack kit.

The processor position of the kit stands somewhere behind the hi-hat (due to the small sizes of the bars of the rack). They could add at least 15-20 cm at each thick bar of the stand.

Conclusion: for the money you pay for it you have a very nice and versatile drum kit. I recommend it !

Great drum kit even for intermediate drummers

MY EXPERIENCE

Using this drum set for about a month now for jamming with my band and as an intermediate drummer I am very pleased with its overall quality. The rack and pads seem durable and of good quality. In a point of time was thinking about upgrading the drum set with a dual zone ride cymbal, since I was missing the ride bell in some beats I was playing, but after a while I noticed that if you hit the existing ride cymbal a bit harder/flat, in some preset kits it gives out the ride bell sound. This was a very satisfying discovery, since playing ride bell is quite common for intermediate drummers. I don't know why it's newer mentioned.

COMPARED TO OTHER DRUMS

Prior Alesis Nitro Mesh drum set, for a short period of time I had an E-Drum set from DDrum, which didn't feel quite right. Because of that I was a bit skeptical about buying another one, therefore was doing plenty of research until finally landing on Alesis Nitro Mesh kit, and if I would have to compare those two - it is like day to night, with all the good sounding preset kits, extremely quiet mesh heads and I can't describe how much I like the dual zone snare! I also enjoy the play along tracks in the module, they are very decent as well.

SOME CONS AND AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT

The only thing I don't like in terms of built quality is the Velcro strip glued on the bottom of the kick drum, which does not seem to hold the kick drum in place. I am thinking about making my own mounting from Velcro which will wrap around the post of the kick drum where the original Velcro was glued to.

I like the metronome feature which tells you whether you play slow / good (in time) / fast, but I think it would be even more valuable if it would give feedback in terms of percentage during particular session so you could follow your progress from session to session.

SHIPPING

The delivery was unexpectedly fast. From Germany to Latvia, it came within a week after I made the purchase. Tracking number provided.

Overall - a great drum kit even for intermediate drummers! Highly recommend.

Perfect

This is my first ever electronic drum kit & I'm enjoying it very much. The custom kit feature is my favorite & the quality of the pads & cymbals are exceptional. It was easy to setup

Packs a punch

This is by far the best electric drum kit in its price bracket, and probably slightly above as well. Great build and sound quality, pleasantly surprised by this and glad I went for it.

Alesis Nitro Mesh Kit

As a "holiday" drummer when I was playing on drums very rarely, I was thinking about buying a kit. Living in a flat put the acoustic set out of the question, so I was looking for electronic kit, and this kit is it! For a beginner perfect drum kit, good price, good quality. The only thing that could be tagged as con.. the snare doesn't really bounce that much, but I guess it's just a preference. Overall, excellent choice. I am satisfied.

Perfect drum set for beginners!

Alesis Nitro Mesh kit is perfect drum set for practice and also gigs. For this price, quality and playability is very good. Mesh heads makes this kit more real. Mesh heads makes the sound more quiet so you wouldn't annoy the neighbours. I use this kit to practice, warm up before conterts and sometimes I bring this kit to gig, because is easy and fast to build. I very recommend this kit for beginners!
