Cool drums, meshes are much better than usual rubbers and play feel is quite natural.

Great price

In my opinion, there should be a noise eater included in every e-drum set.

If you live on a second or higher floor, be ready as people below you will go mad.

A very good starting point for beginners!

I choosen to purchase the Alesis Nitro Mesh Kit after a long research on the net. I am an absolute beginners but found the kit very comfortable. The 8" pads are a little small (so I read many negative opinions) but I think they are otherwise useful to learn immediatly to hit drum in a very precise spot! The rack is a little shallow so it is not so easy to find the same position like in an acoustic drumset (I am 1:80 mt. tall) but anyway you can play comfortable. Sounds are great. Moreover you can select among a lot of different sounds and every single sound can be finely regulated: too much for a beginner :-)

Finally, I strongly suggest this drumkit for beginners.

It have everything what promised. But little bit low quality than its looking here. Almost every piece is plastic except stands. But Its great product for this price I think.

steps, of drumming, in Nov of 2018, so no comparison.

After a little bit of research, I've considered this the best starter kit for me( being a beginner) and best price/value.

I've considered the Midi USB interface as a must(for later recording purpose), althought didn't tried yet.

Pros:

- mesh heads are really quiet

- very compact and easily foldeable, an advantage if you live in a small flat

- good sounding drum samples, and recently discovered the sample tracks you can play along, or jam

- smart metronome, u may specify the accents on certain beats

- has auxiliary jack input

- has additional 2 instrument, so you can plug an additional crash, tom etc..

Cons:

- cymbals are really loud and plastic layer looks pretty used after a few months

- rims shots are really unpleasant to the hear (alhough I play with headset)

- bass drum pad very loud -> I use a towel sometimes over it

- bass drum pad hardly can accomodate double pedals -> ok there is a way if you setup beaters very close to one another, but you always have to adjust, missing triggers

-> I bought a Roland KD10 pad address this, which is even louder :) but no more missing triggers, at least

- I cannot accomodate the hihat pedal, is kinda joke, very loud, moves, no real feel at all

- metronome click sound is not customizable

Overall good impression, quality product.

If I knew abot the annoying hihat pedal, and small bass drum, I would go with bit more expensive kit, e.g: Millenium MPS-850, which has a real hihat stand !

Advice: don't by with that Millenium drum throne and T-Bone headset.

After a few months both are broken.

Headset frame broken on sides.

Drum throne was too short for me(can reach mostly 90 degrees with muy legs), and after a while started to wobble badly( plastic inside the frame broke), so stopped using it.

perfect quality in this price range

I had lots of trials with several products before ı purchase alesis. None of them has such quality in this price range.

I am using this kit at my home. It is very silent thanks to mesh heads. drum module is also very well, it has lots of voice kit inside and easy to connect to any computer.

Snare drum feeling is perfect, precise and has very good re-bounce.

Kick pedal and kick drum is not made by mesh. that can be only problem in apartment. you need to isolate it from floor.

Cymbals are quite good but hi-hat control is very poor. You can not control hi-hat precisely . That is the only cons for this kit.

In this price range, ı do not see another alternative.

Good start for begginers

It is ours first electric drum kit, so we do not have anything to compare it.

Son and me have the drums for a week and we play them every day.

Genarally quality is very good, they can be well adjusted for me and for my son. Quality of product is Ok for this price range.

There is some noise from kick pad (pedal), so if you live in apartment with neighbours I do not suggest you to play late in the evening or early in the morning...

Pross: Adjustability, good quality for set, they do not take a lot of space.

Cons: Pity that the cimbals are only one zone and snare is only 8 inch but we knew that before we ordered product.

It is one of the best sets for bigginers.
