Solid Interface

This has been my interface for a while. It looks and sounds good. Pretty much what you put in is what you get. The headphone converters are great. Would recommend.

Best in price range

The preamps and software control make this the best in class

Review

It took me a long time to choose a budget sound card for my home studio. I had to choose between Audient and Focusrite.

But after weighing up the pros and cons, I chose this model.

It has many more advantages than the price. Two inputs for two pairs of headphones, quality sound, quality preamp for microphones and a wonderful quality case.

For a home studio from the budget segment it is the best option.

Amazing quality

i love using it, other than the outstanding quality of sound, amazing metal quality and amazing design and app.

good with latency probably due to usb 3.0

Nice

The Audient iD14 MKII is a stellar audio interface. It boasts exceptional sound quality, top-notch mic preamps, and a solid build. Its user-friendly design and MIDI I/O make it a versatile and reliable choice for any musician or producer.

Great choice!

I ordered this interface in the spring. I like the audio quality, use it in conjunction with a microphone Audio-Technica AT2035.

good preamps. I'm surprised that for such a price this audio interface can drive 250 ohm headphones. Recommended for purchase.

I am happy with it

Actually it surprised me about the build quality. Feels so durable and solid. But main volume button is not that much stable, kinda sloppy. The voice quality is more than enough because it is not fair to compare it with Apollo's voice quality due price gap but I would really like to compare between this with UA's Volt series. I will edit my comment when I am going to have a chance to compare them because I was in dilemma between this and Volt.

Cons: Every time when I am starting it speaker and headphone volume level being minimum, it would be great if it would be possible to set starting volume. And it would be actually amazing to being able to set two different start volume for speaker and headphone. Like I mentioned before, main volume button does not matching with general build quality, feels sloppy. I hope it won't be broken after one year lets see.

Pros: I am thinking volume quality is really good even for some pro level recording. I am not pro but I do not think that you can find better voice quality in this price range. It is amazing idea that it has 3.5 and 6.5 input for headphones so you don't have to worry about adapters etc in case you need. Build quality feels really nice, design is simple and looks nice and colours are perfectly matching with MacBooks. If you have color matching obsession for your work place/desk it will be good match! :)

Great Value

I bought this iD14 MKii to replace my focusrite gen2 audio interface.

I found it very easy to install and configure. I use it primarily for recording guitar and found the JFET preamp gives the DI a nice tone. The overall sound is much cleaner than than my focusrite and I'm very happy I made the switch.

I find it hard to believe that you can get a professional sounding (and feeling) product for the this price.

Extremely happy that I bought this interface

For a home studio, that's it. Pleased with the number of inputs / outputs, the quality of the preamps, as well as the usability of the buttons. I recommend this option for home sessions!

GREAT QUALITY AT AN AMAZING PRICE

Audient is a great brand and having the ability to have a similar sound to their consoles but in a smaller packaging that is portable for a travelling musician.

Great

the Audient iD14 MKII has some problem out of package. However, it is all good now after the firmware update.

Great Design

I loved the design of id14. Sound quality is just great and it is smaller than it looks in the pictures and this is very good for carrying

Overall, it's a nice interface, with brilliant sound and no latency feature. I will write just one disadvantage is that there is no power switch.

Great piece

As far as quality I personally have no complaints, have been using it for two weeks only, but I hope that won't change in the future

Good build, solid, love the design, fits conveniently in my setup. (Mostly because of the Mic inputs / L-R outputs being on the back, headphones at the front).

Impressive results in regard to latency on my system also and u cant go wrong with that.

Love the fact it gives you so much possibility to expand to a second pair of monitors and has an optical input which for its price range is rare to come across.

It's a cutie, love it so far.

good budget average audio interface

Very good sound quality but I didn't like the control buttons functionality. It takes time to get used to them.

Works well for home recording, no issues.

I'm not a pro but have played and recorded in professional studios before with bands, and have recorded bands in the past. I bought this to get back into home recording for myself as a songwriter.

Years ago I worked with two different models of Presonus interfaces. They did the job, but they were totally outdated and I needed to upgrade and for modern compatibility with my M1 MacBook. I found them fiddly to use and they always seemed to produce a lot of self-noise.

All I want in an interface is something easy to setup and use, and get a nice clean signal into my DAW. The iD14 MKII does it really well. My favourite feature is that it's powered by my Mac via USB-C. As somebody who values being able to lay down tracks quickly, and from any part of my home, I can basically grab a mic, the interface, and plug it straight in to begin recording.

I'm also really impressed by how quiet it is. Compared to the old Presonus interfaces it's night and day. That's not to say the other brand is bad, only that things have come along way in terms of quality over the past few years.

The build quality seems fairly good, however the large knob on the right hand side seems to wobble a little compared to the other two gain controls which are excellent and sturdy. My only concern is that it leads to faults, but I am going to reach out to Audient to understand better.

Overall, I'm please with everything so far. It's a good solid interface for the home.

Excellent interface

An excellent interface — supposedly a "budget" item, but far more capable than that adjective implies. The build quality is excellent, and as others have remarked, the sound quality (DACs and preamps) is incredible.

The only downside is the control software — the iD application works well when it works, but I've found that getting it set up and running can be difficult. And, unfortunately, it's required for firmware updates. However, the interface works incredibly well even without the software; this is just necessary for more sophisticated routing and mixing setups (e.g., loopback).
