Great Stereo Bundle On A Budget

For the price you pay, you're getting 2 microphones and clips for them, a stereo bar, a hard case and 2 pop filters. In my opinion, this is a great deal for those on a budget who wish to get into professional audio recording.

Best Budget SDCs

I've had these mics for a couple of months and so far have used them for recording acoustic guitar, a choir, and drum overheads. I'll break down how I feel about the sound for each one. Acoustic Guitar: A touch more harsh in the high end and a bit brighter than I'd like, but overall a really good sound, which also works when doing stereo via X/Y or ORTF. Choir: They captured a lot less of the room sound than I initially expected, but adding that reverb back in post made them sound absolutely perfect with only minimal EQ tweaks (meaning a little boost in the low-mids and removing some room resonances). Overheads: Gorgeous sound! They sound very natural and capture almost exactly what's in the room, although harsher in the high end than optimal. That said, they take EQ extremely well and all the harshness can be removed with a couple of bands - the sizzle that remains is beautiful and it fits in the mix perfectly! In regards to the overall build, the mics themselves feel really solid, especially for the price point. The case is plastic and not the best feeling, and the foam cut-outs are a bit small and you need to squeeze hard to fit stuff in, but it's not the worst to deal with. The included stereo bar is frankly the weakest part of it and I bought a K&M one immediately - it's made of plastic and doesn't hold itself tight that well; the K&M is metal and much more solid while only costing 10€ more. Considering the price point, I would definitely recommend these for anyone looking to get their first pair of SDCs!

Great Mic with best price.

Used for basic setups in church setups and it works great. Also used in weddings for instruments such as clarinet, saxsaphone, cello, violin etc... never had any issues.

I record vocals and drums

I’ve been using these mics for about two years. I’ve mostly recorded vocals. They do quite well with vocals. I can tweak the EQ in GarageBand. I run the mics through a behringer umc202hd. It sounds pretty good. Lately I’ve been recording drums using the two mics in an x-y method. They record the drums pretty good! It sounds cool! I’ve recorded the drums of 14 songs and I am very pleased with the quality of the sound from the two mics. It’s a lot of bang for your buck. Two microphones for a low price that are very functional… yea please. I haven’t tried to mic my guitar an amp, but I am quite sure it would be very good, based on its vocal drum recording abilities. I recommend these for sure.

super cheap doesn't rubbish

I brought these mics years ago, reviewing them now to say that I still have them, they are still working strong 4/5 years on. My first pair of drum overheads where their original use I had but they've also been used on acoustic guitar, snare mic and even as a kick drum outside sub style mic at points.trust me they can go ALLOT. great for your first stereo mic pair! and soooo cheap. get them and get creative!

Unbelievable

Using as alternative for KM184 for live productions. Comparable results for 10th of the price…

Fav mic

One of my favorite microphones, sounds great and huge. Cheaper alternative to alot of very expensive microphones out there but sound is almost identical to them.

Great microphone set for a great price!

I use this microphone set for miking drums (overheads) and the set works great! Microphones are responsive and you can get a clear sound out of them. I didn`t check all the options yet but I hope to do so in the future.

Microphones are sturdy, are made from high quality materials and are really well made overall, especially for this kind of price. I would really recommend this microphone stereoset!

Surprisingly good for speech

I've owned a pair of these for a few years and just bought a second set. I use them for video making, which I've done for more than 40 years.

They have a very pleasant tone to them and I like the way they sound for speech. Small diaphragm mics aren't the best if you want to work close and sound like a DJ. But for just about anything else they're great.

With them about 12-24 inches from the person they work well for interviews, commentaries and other general video use. Being a matched pair, you can even experiment with various stereo techniques.

I find they benefit from a bit of EQ, particularly a reduction in the midtones.

They're an inexpensive way to get started and I think most people will be absolutely delighted with the quality - both audio and build.

Price quality ratio is unbeatable. Pay attention only to fact that it will need phantom power in order to work.

Do exactly what they are supposed to

As a musician I have used all sorts over the years from the best to the worst. What I can sy about these Behringer mics is that they are not expensive, but the sound quality is more than adequate for the vast majority of us. Yes they may not have quite the rfinement of some of the big money big names - but if you put them sude by side in a blind test I would suggest 999 out of a 1000 people would not nknow the differentce or which one is the up-market model.

Downside -yes the components are not the most robust.

Upside -at this price do I really care if I drop it/bang it/break it/fry it? Absolutely not!

As local gigging musicians or home studio users (or even any studio users) do yourselves a favour and stop looking for and waxing lyrical about 'big brands' that frankly don't sound any better than these to most people.

Amazing

Bought these during lockdown as drum overheads, so now about 2 years old. In my shed its survived 2x cold winters and 2x warmish summers (in England, so you might not agree with the definition of warm and cold :)). Still going strong and I've used them live with good results.

Amazing Value!

Cannot beat for the price! Used to mic up two congas and do the job perfectly - no complaints at all.

Great mics for the price.

These obviously aren't as good as nt5s but for the price you can't go wrong. Very decent sound for a fraction of the price of nt5s

Outstanding for the price

So I teach in a school, and we have a variety of mics in the recording studio. Being that these mics were relatively budget-friendly, they stayed on the shelf as more expensive mics were available. I noticed one of our students was always using them and raving about them, so rather than just dismiss it we set up a blind test of several mics on acoustic guitar, including large diaphragm condensers and an M201 which costs nearly ten times as much per mic.

You honestly wouldn't believe that the C2 stood up against an M201 on acoustic guitar. I know, I wouldn't have believed it either. But having looked at this with the student, I ordered about three more pairs to put into stock elsewhere.

Astonishing for the price!

These microphones sound great, and when you discover the price they sound even better! :D

Great cheap mics !

This is by far the best workhorse price/performance mic build today.

This is my 4th pair, my first one is 15 years old and still working!

They seem Pretty decent.

I used these a couple times on acoustic guitar, and an acoustic recorded electric. They seem to give out a very real sound, like what my ears pick up. Some of the tone is a bit sharper sounding, but I think that's what you want so it comes through a mix.
