Behringer Pro-1 4-stars Reviews
Great as original
sounds fat and it's easy to get really warm and weird basslines with it. totally worth it
Great little addition to my mono synth collection
Not much more to say, ignore the haters. this is a great wee box.
Nice classic synth sound close to the original.
For the price tag, a pretty decent synth!
Really Surprised
I've had the Model D and Neutron from Behringer and the Pro-1 is the only one I have kept for more than a few months and have now for nearly 2 years. For sure the best of the 3, really raw and surprisingly "phat". Excellent piece of kit for some nasty basslines and also can get an 80's kinda vibe out of it.
a great synth in a cheap suit!!!
It has a learning curve if you are not familiar with monosynths.
The modulation bay especially might be a little confusing at the beginning.
It has a lot of capabilities. Sonically the filter changes the volume, so you must play with the volume knob a lot if you are constantly modulating,
I love the sound. That's why I forgive all it's problems in handling.
The only thing I can't understand is the quality.
This is my first Behringer synth. It feels cheap. The knobs are light plasticky.
I mean you can buy a Microbrute at the same price, and it's built like a tank!
Great sound, but It's not the best solution for constant playing with the knobs.
Edit: Also, the internal arp doesn't sync well with external midi clock. I recommend an external keyboard or sequencer.
Here comes a vintage beast redifined for today's workflows
I bought the Pro1 last year. Since then I can't get enough of it. The sound is on point and nearly identical as the old Pro1.
The fact that it has CV ins and outs makes it a plus point. For the price you really can't go wrong.
great clone very close to the original
The Pro-1 is really well built, sturdy and with firm knobs.
Midi interface works flawlessly as the cv/gate input, only strange thing is that using MIDI, oscillator won't respond below a certain note.
soundwise is really good, very very close to the original even in the filter behaviour (increasing resonance low frequencies disappears)
paraphonic mode is a nice addition to this litte beast
