Snake enchanting

After receiving 2 S16 I never needed to worry about that bulky and heavy old snake or whether or not I have enough channels. Cat-cable is so easy to bring over and while Cat-cable is relatively low-cost, the new snake can be 20m longer to make it easier to find a safe route between stage and FOH.

Sound quality is exellent - layout is very clear - operation is smooth - recommend

Digital stage box

This is a great sounding piece of equipment, i have purchased 2 off these, and have found them easy to use with the X32 desk. I have yet to try the ADAT option, but will get round to it soon.

Behringer S16 didital snake.

I have been using the S16 in conjunction with a Behringer X32 digital desk and cat five cable. This is a real plug in and play system so long as you know your X32. Once plugged in make sure you have the green light on the A port and a green light on the x32. Routing via the X32 is simple enough and you can configure the 8 outs to monitors or main speakers.

Build quality looks good and I have mounted the S16 into a 2u rack so to take any knock when in transit.

If you dont want long heavy cable snakes then this with a cat5 cable can help, very simple to use and you can even lock the console and just control it from the desk. With the launch of the Behringer x32 core now I intend to get 3u rack put both the s16 and core together, mount a wirless network and be able to control a band via a laptop. Good for small gigs, not sure i would want to mix many bands on the fly.

A Must for all X32 Owners

Bought one of these to use with our X32, can see us buying another 2 or 3 of these very soon. It was easy to setup and has Midas Pre-Amps in too. Was blown away by the quality and flexibility this product allows. You can even put in a set of headphones and monitor individual channels from the unit itself. Its robust and made from quality materials. You can free stand it if you want as it has rubber feet but ours went straight into a rack. The dials are clear to read from a distance too. The main thing for us was this was real value for money 16 channels in and 8 out - once we add the next one that's' 32 in and 16 out and all you have to do is link them with another short CAT5 cable to achieve this. Very pleased so far with its performance.

Amazing little unit

We bought this and took it straight out onto a job, where we used it with an X32. We used all 16 sends + 8 returns, plus 18 local inputs on the desk. It performed perfectly. Being able to actually monitor locally was excellent for our on stage tech guys and then being able to remotely manage the phantom, head amp gain etc was another great bonus.

For the price of it, it will not be long before we get on and get ourselves another one to make a full 32/16 digital multi for under £2k! What a great product and at a great price too.

Great product with only one flaw....

I love this unit. The ability to program and change settings while your desk is located 100m away is just a clever idea. I've had no issues with signal noise running it at 100m from the desk. Only issue I had was setting it up. Behringer have taken this issue on board as I was not the only one with the problem and have a guide online.
