versatile little desk

Ideal desk for a small gig or a practice room situation, or even 1 man studio set up. Some great versatility with the inserts and aux/ sub group options, nice dynamic range on the EQ plus fairly sensitive and smooth faders.

Build quality - Some of the POTs feel a bit loose, one of the Pan POTs isn't full range. The 'oneknob' compression leaves a lot to be desired (ie useless) - not really used any on-board effects to comment on the quality of the Klarktechnik processors fairly. All the sockets are strong and the frame is sturdy, better quality plastics used than my last Behringer desk 10 years back. .

The USB audio was the biggest disappointment personally, the 16bit sound quality is grainy as expected, BUT the flaw is that the USB Rtn to main option only receives in Mono (from Windows10 in stereo mode?), any stereo signal from the PC is summed to Mono on both L/R master faders retrospectively - Got some very confusing phasing when toggling to Mono with a separate monitor controller I use.

Not a proper audio interface, more of a fancy Aux insert, would be fairer to market it as such. However it does send the main L/R signals with stereo separation and correct panning to the PC, just doesn't return in stereo?

All in all though, for the modest price I am happy with its performance and range of application for routing signals in my small home studio.

Packed with features

At its price range it is very difficult to find another so fully packed mixer.

Compressor/Limiter -> check

Parametric EQs on mic channels + inserts ->check

4ch EQ on the stereo channels -> check

FX unit with tap tempo (and footswitch) -> check

9-band Equalizer with Feedback detection -> check

Subgroups, monitor send, pre-post fader sends, USB input/output, Voice canceller for karaoke this thing has everyone covered.

Only thing missing is USB/2-track fader (as on the QX1222USB) and voice canceller unfortunately only works on the USB/2-track input.

And unfortunately the USB/2-track is NOT bidirectional.

And of course USB recording is 2 tracks only.

One other minor flaw is that when using this mixer with the ULM202USB microphones the second channel is NOISY/unusable. So consider this combination unusable!

Reliability-wise this thing comes with a 3y warranty, so far 6months in everything operates flawlessly.
