beyerdynamic DT-770 Pro 250 Ohm Reviews
Best headphones for recording
For me, these are the best headphones for recording. Very comfortable, they go over your ears, so your ears don't start to hurt after wearing them for a long periods of time. The sound at first is a little bit too hyped, but it gets better when they wear in. They offer a great detail, so you can also use them for referencing.
Over all, these are very popular headphones, you'll see them in almost every studio, from home studios to professional studios. There's also not a lot of leakage because of the closed design. Also very well built and affordable!
Great but need some good pre amp
Not for mixing. Comfortable. Poor cable/jack design
I have many many hours with mine and they're very comfortable and handle high levels well. The sound is not neutral, it has strange, exaggerated highs, overly deep bass, and lacks midrange. Not good for mixing but very useful for tracking.
The Mega Star of All Times.
Sound: Honest and Highly detailed.
Comfort: The Best headphones I ever had.
Quality: Top Quality - The real Pro device.
Don't Miss it - Grab and Run.
That's what you've been looking for all your life!
exceptional headphones for a good price
The best thing about these, besides the sound quality, is the comfort. I don't feel tired after 8h sitting in these. Adjustable, with exchangable parts -- highly recommended. I also tried 990 my friend owns, feel great as well!
Most neutral of the three DT-770s
I have all three version of the DT-770: the 80-ohm, the 250-ohm and the 32-ohm. That last one sounds different enough from the other ones that it really shouldn't be marketed under the same name, IMO.
The 80-ohm has the most bass out of all of them, but not boomy, and is overall the smoothest-sounding. It is currently my favourite and I use it as my main reference. (I think that if you're used to a particular sound and know what music is "supposed to" sound like through those headphones or speakers, then you can use that as a mixing reference.) The only thing is that I don't use the 80-ohm for tracking, especially not bass instruments, because the bass gets a bit too much.
Enter the 250-ohm. It has a bit less bass and sounds tighter than the 80. Otherwise almost the same overall sound. I use this for tracking.
The 32-ohm sound much different. It has more mids, harsher highs, and way less bass than the other two. I find it quite unlistenable most of the time. I'm sure it has some good uses, but I really think it should be marketed under a different name (not as a DT-770 variant), as the sound signature is that different.
wow
I use these to record, mix and master records and youtube videos, They've affected mixes so much that I create much better mixes than I've ever done before
In listening to music i thought i knew inside and out i can hear so many more little details.
They do require a little bit more power to drive than conventional headphones, (which is states just about everywhere)
I find that my Scarlett 2i2 is great for the job, there's enough power there :)
I can actually use them on my phone in quiet environments but i wouldn't recommend trying it on the go!
Great Sound , and very comfortable
I don't even feel them on my head! very comfortable and great sounding headphones
Splendid performance and quality for such a good price!
Connected to a Scarlett USB Audio interface, this Studio Headphones are so good. Clarity and accuracy, those are the most important things to me when I compose neo-classical music. This is really cool to do the mixing process. The sound is detailed. Good step up on this process.
It's the most popular headphones, and it is legit.
Beyerdynamic made it really robust. The whole steel thing looks pretty solid and impossible to break. But it is flexible. I wear glasses, I don't feel any pain after hours of work.
Well, for 150$, this is worth a try ;)
I would only get the DT1770 to replace it someday!
Best headphones I ever bought
Really good sound quality, sound isolation and comfort. 10/10
Pure pleasure to use...
These are just the headphones if you are like me to produce late at night and not disturbing your family and neighbors. They surpass my old AT-50 miles away. Very true sounding, light weight with soft pads from heaven.
Got these headphones for home recording. After listening through these headphones for the first time, I already discovered details in the songs, that I haven't noticed before. The sound is clear and detailed. These headphones are comfortable to wear and the quality is outstanding.
These are my first professional headphones and so far I could've been more happier with them. Would recommend these for both beginners and professionals.
Timeless quality
I have used these headphones since day 1 in my studio and the sound is just perfect and gives a great sense of "real" sound. The price is amazing for such a great product. Highly recomendable!
workaholic
i love the way they sound ,I love the way you feel on my head and there very comfortable.
These are just great
I had these for like couple of years and these are great. Comfy sounds super and sounds great. Great for tracking. Recommend ;)
Perfect for any home studio use
I have been using these during home recording, bass playing, guitar playing, mastering and even just casual music listening (providing you got a pre-amp). The headphones are very light, durable, easily fit and are very nice to wear even for prolonged session, barely feel them. Sound is excellent, nice deep bass, crips highs, all is there.
Good for electronic music
These headphones are one of the most comfortable I've ever worn! The padding are so soft and you could wear them for hours without any discomfort.
The set is also very sturdy and feel strong and reliable, but doesn't actually weight that much on the head when worn.
Sound-wise, it pretty good down to the very bottom range up to about 6K, when it starts driving a bit too much in my opinion. It's generally okay if listening/mixing most electronic music genres, but could lead to some discomfort in other types of music. I was for example listening to some stoner rock album and the hi-hats sibilant felt nearly painful to the ear. The vocals "S" are generally well pronounced as well, no matter what kind of music I listen to.
I still find those headphones very good and am not disappointed about my purchase, but I thought I'd give you a heads up about this. If you get a chance to try them before buying them I would quite recommend you do (especially if you're not into electronic music) to make sure that that top end is not a problem for you.
Clear sound of excellent quality
I have been using my set for a few years already without any issues at all. Well manufactured, sturdy skeleton and unbelievably comfortable pads.Extremely comfortable, no pain at all even after hours of use, excellent sound quality and clarity. The only negative is that the wire is not detachable and depending on the use you might need headphone amp.
Overall, highly recommended an probably the best (studio) headphones you can get at this price range. Ideal for home or studio use.
Studio Quality headphones
If you are into producing or recording audio and need high quality audio but you can't afford a pair of KrK or the noise from your monitors would bother your neighbors then this is it. They are extremely competitive price wise and believe me, the diference is there, you just need to hear it once.
Would buy it again knowing how well they perform now, might get me an extra pair actually.
Great!
Very comfortable, and you can use it for long periods of time , no problem.
Good quality as well and a reasonable price.
Cheers
