beyerdynamic DT-770 Pro 250 Ohm Reviews
Excellent quality and comfort for glasses
I wear glasses constantly, for work and everything else.
These headphones are so comfortable over my ears and glasses i can wear them for hours. They are light and not tiring on my neck or shoulders when wearing for periods of time.
The quality of sound (very clear) from these headphones alone are the main reason I recommend these, the comfort is a massive plus though.
Well-known Beyerdynamic
I'm a professional musician with the Academy. I have used all sorts of headphones, but the first time this one (Beyerdynamic). The sound is fantastic and clean. I compose film music, but these headphones have a more enhanced bass, which feels great with orchestral color harmony.
best headphones for studio
I love the sound!
the quality is very good, at first they feal "heavy" but as soon as you get a hang of them. no turning back its trully fantastic!!!
Best around
Need new headphones for the musical adventure I'm about to embark on and I was not disappointed by this product. Sound quality is great. Very comfortable with the soft padding and genuine great qualily product!! Top marks
These head phones are amazing imho, they are very sturdy, so comfortable you can use them for hours without getting sore hears and the sound is very very good for this price range. I have the DT-770 and also the DT-990 and I recommend them both to every one who asks me about head phones, and everyone who got them is really happy.
Don't buy these
I just got them a few days ago, and matter of fact, these look cheap and unstable ( i would be surprised if they are still working in like 4 months) and they came with a really annoying rattling sound. If you go with the volume a bit higher, that buzzing sound gets worse, and you can hear it periodically in like 5-10 seconds. I am absolutely disappointed and these, because they seemed nice budget studio headphones, they even sound pretty good, but that periodical rattling, buzz sound is just unbearable.
Top notch!
i am using this phones in my small studio . Honest, clear detailed sound. Five stars quality for reasonable price. There are only pros no cons. Srtongly recomended!
Impressive
I use it for my home studio. The sound is very good for treble and mid range. Bass is not the best part of this headphones but perfectly acceptable. The isolation is extremely good. I have a medium size head and after long periods (3+ hours) of using it becomes somewhat uncomfortable. Maybe too much tension.
DT-770 Pro 250 is a solid choice within its price range. I recommend it to newbie/average home studio users.
Perfect for My Job
These headphones are ideal for a Radio environment. If you want comfortable with great sound go for these.
Almost there
I'm using the Beyerdynamic DT-770 Pro 250 Ohm headphones for tracking and as a second 'pair of ears' for reference/mix checking.
Pros:
Great piece of gear for the price, very comfortable and flexible but still very sturdy and well built, they can take a beating.
Cons:
You'll probably need some time to get used to them due to the slight high and low boost although they really come in handy when checking your mixes, but I wouldn't rely on them as a main listening system.
The bass is lacking more detail and definition, and it would be great if they had a non-fixed cable.
Apart from that these are really great considering the price/quality ratio.
Very good sound
i used this headphone for my mix and im so happy for final. Only negative idea for this headphone is (my own) spiral cable. tnx beyerdynamic <3 :)
One of the best studio headphones on the market!!
I read a lot before buying my studio headphones, and I'm really not sorry I went with DT-770. Very well made and very comfortable to wear, easy to adjust even in between sessions. The ear pads are really soft and comfy, but you do feel your ears getting really warm or hot even if you use them for a long. Especially if you use it for a few hours during practice. The sound is amazing and there is really nothing bad I can say about this product. With it comes a small headphone bag which looks ok, but I ordered an extra protection box/bag, since I'm probably gonna carry them around me a lot.
I did a bunch of recording with them and everything was great. I'm not sure about mixing, since I haven't tried them out with that, but I think I'll go with the open-back ones for that, and just buy another similar open-back pair.
So even you're not a pro yet I would recommend you getting these for your studio and it should probably last you for a long time as well.
Best tracking headphones
To date, these are my favourite headphones for tracking in the studio. Fantastic isolation and good sound. You can really pump them, but for this 250 ohm model make sure you have a headphone amp to drive them. I use them for mic positioning and performance - Its rare to have such good quality sound on a set of closed-back headphones so I'd highly reccomend these headphones.
top quality headphones. Ive never had quality on headphones like dt770. ive just had to buy a audio interface to hear the true quality so i think ill really hear how good the phones are
A Truly Deserved Title - The Studio Standard
You can't go wrong with DT 770 pro 250 ohm
Nice pure transparent sound, comfortable and light.
A perfect pair of headphones for recording.
Very very good sound! My beats clear.
Quality at a unreal price....
You would not want for more in studio headphones.... seriously.
Very nice!
After owning a few other headphones set I think this just might be the ones that realy work for me. Quiet and clear, sturdy but flexible especialy the "telephone" cable, very nice quality. I prefer 250 Ohm over the 50 Ohm ones but that only depends on the style and workstation I`m currently in.
PRO !
Tried this headphones for first time in my friend?s studio and i said that i must have that for live applications
excellent isolation, comfort ( u can listen all day if u want without having pain on ears ) , robust design give u feeling u cant break them ( very important that all parts are replaceable )
soundvise,( 250 ohm version ) its little too much HI FI in upper range and too flat in lower range, but if u connect them to some good headphone amp and turn them up, everything sounds just fine, so i dont recommend the for onboard soundcards as laptop, PC etc...lack of power and quality output for them really makes diference in listening experience !
Honest and reliable headphones
I'm using the Beyerdynamics DT-770 Pro 250Ohm headphones as an allrounder in my mastering studio. For tracking, overdubbing, mixing and mastering. Besides that, I also do use them as main headphones when working as a sound engineer at small music festivals.
I was not blown away by the sound they gave me for the very first time but I heard all little hidden sounds in the mix, for example, the sizzling sound of the cymbals and the sound of the scrapping plectrum on the guitar.
The good part about the DT-770 Pro is the tonal honesty. The lows, medium and trebles all sound natural as they should be. The robustness and the replaceable parts is also a big plus for this model. The heavy coil cable sort of keeps being in the way because of its coils. Some engineers like the retro or vintage looking coiled cable music equipment but the coiled cable ruined it for me but the sound complimented that. Anyway, I bought three more headphones, same model and never gave up on the coils.
The main beige ear covers cloths are collecting hair and sweat and this is not really a pleasant experience but one got used to this after a while. A different colour could be better though. The main head connection is also squeezing the head, eventhough they can be adjusted according to your head size. This headphones are worth the price in this class and nothing can beat their price. For both professionals and beginners. They offer a great honesty in music monitoring
