This wing is amazing and far better than the v2. I use it for my professional research and pre-programming but it can be the ideal product to rent out if paired with an appropriate case. It is quite big as a wing but it has a sturdy chassis and it is very well built. I love the motorized faders and the multi-function encoders, it also has loads more buttons than the previous version. Compared to the previous version, the main additions to this wing are the 16 Xkeys, 8 faders, 5 dual-dial encoders, a variety of rotary encoders, an MA button and more. I am not a fan of the re-sized 'please' button which I believe should've stayed bigger than the others as in the GMA2 wing however, it's an amazing controller and I am really happy with it.

I bought this for a local club that had a few DMX lights all running of 1 dmx mode with up to 8 channels. They had an accident with their previous controller involving a glass of water so needed something to replace it and asked me to get them something that would do the job. This fitted their needs perfectly and does exactly what is needed. I opted for the LCD version as it was the same price as the None LCD version. To be honest you don't need the LCD but great to have it as looks better for the club.

I bought this lighting console for trade-show demos - where people unfamiliar with lighting control - can merrily play around with the sliders and see 'stuff happen'. I *want* it to be simple. So I needed a 16 channel DMX controller (because my gear does simple 4 channel RGBW, or a feature-rich 16 channel mode). This controller fitted the bill perfectly. No 'modes', memories or 'features' to get confused by. It also runs from 9V (so I can run it from a USB-PD to 9V barrel connector adapter, rather than the supplied power-brick and UK adapter) The only think I don't really like is the all-steel enclosure, which makes it rather heavy - in fact it's the heaviest single item in my back-pack portable set-up. We have two of these to make a simple 48-ch desk, with direct "fader to lights" without a master section, programming etc to complicate. They are also great as an expansion wing for any software or controller than accepts a DMX input. We initially bought two of the similar looking budget branded alternative units, but they had problems with one channel imprinting slightly on the next. With tungsten lights it would have been okay as a flicker to 1% would have been okay but with LED it was causing visible flickering, so it's worth paying the extra for this desk which is rock solid, smooth fading and reliable values at the top and bottom of the faders.

This is great for simple day-to-day control of DMX lights. I'm fitting a range of LED lights for a stage in a community centre. For performances we use computer control for full control of the lights, but we need something simple for day to day use. That is where this 6-channel controller is brilliant. My lights are RBGAW-UV, and right now I have all the lights set to 6 channel DMX mode on the same address. I'm using this controller battery operated with a wireless DMX transmitter. I'm finding it really easy to directly control the lights from anywhere in that hall. I won't use this controller during our performance, but I will be permanently fitting it afterwards, so that other hall users can easily control the lights. This is the best unit I’ve found for a band playing small clubs to good size parks and outdoor events. I play guitar and control lights with some effort, but the effect is stunning once you get it down. Washes, party lights, movers all in one compact foot unit, built like a tank too! No other band in our vicinity has the lighting that we have. Period. Room for improvement? The power plug is not US friendly requiring an adapter and not easily replaced if it breaks. A Youtube tutorial in English would be greatly appreciated. You really have to commit yourself to learning this thing by reading subtitles. It’s a hard learning curve but worth it. Wouldn’t take much to ease that curve and sell more units. More chases and fixture inputs! I’m buying a second unit to expand...

It was a little tricky to get used to at first, but once I got the hang of this, it's very easy to control and make some seriously wild lighting shows. I'm an amateur still so I never got to use more than one universe at a time, and never tried the super high end consoles, but this is a definite step up from using the simpler fader based dmx controllers. It's marketed for DJs mostly, but I don't see why you cant use it as a primary controller for any type of show. I only wish there was a way to control it remotely via ipad/laptop.

We bought this for a number of reasons, mostly that it accepts audio-in, for accurately synchronising our lights with the music being played. However, once we started using this lighting controller, we found that the other included features are incredibly valuable - and now we couldn't live without them! The scene programming and selection is incredibly intuitive - one could program a light show in a number of minutes. Couple that with Manual, Auto and Music modes, and the workflow becomes very fast. The chases are very good too, with more memory locations than I ever would have expected! The DMX-Master has a number of Banks for scenes/chases, but I'm unsure how many. Highly recommended!

Having tried with other desks and failed to achieve even the most basic programmed operations this desk (after carefully studying of the manual and various videos on Youtube) has enabled me to produce the lighting effects I've been looking for. Yes you can run your LED DMX lights on sound to light and even slave them together but with this well priced desk you can black them all out simultaneously, get them performing individually or running in pre-programmed moods to suit the music your are playing, vary the brightness form 0 - 100%, select the colour RGB or any RGB mix, strobing, flashing all still with the option to sound to light to the desk. This has really taken our band's light show into another league, well worth the time to set up and a good price!

I purchased one of these for an installation job. The particular application was to illuminate a display by controlling a set of 20 LED PARs with just a handful of scenes programmed to cross-fade slowly in a continuous loop. The controller is designed to work with fixtures having up to 24 channels with fixed DMX addressing, i.e. at intervals of 24. This means the set of 20 LEDs I was using didn't leave any scope for expansion even though these particular fixtures occupied only seven channels each. Programming of scenes was fairly straightforward and I achieved the desired results even though configuring fade-times was slightly confusing; there being different ways of achieving that: 'internal' and 'external' modes.
