Fantastic sound and great ldurability

I have been using these strings for the past 12years in the same guitar (Fender Jazzmaster). I absolutely love how long the last, and they behave perfect in different tunnings. This guitar is usually tuned in Standard E but lately I have been exploring lower tunings and they are still perfect. Due the lenght of the Jazzmaster string, they make the playability perfect in E and they don't feel to hard. I really love the combo Jazzmaster and these D'addario 11-52.

Great tone and durability at a great price

I used to work at a rock club in Cincinnati, Ohio. Once, after a particularly long load out of Slayer and Static X, I noticed a box full of at least a hundred packs DR strings left sitting on the sidewalk. I took them home and played on them for probably years. After that I was hooked. But they were hard to find. When scarcity became a real problem on my tours in Europe, I asked my lead guitarist what he used, and he pointed to D’addario. I tried them out and was blown away by the clarity, tone, and, most important, durability of these strings! And now finally I had found a set that was easy to locate in any guitar shop in the world! They’ve been my go-to string ever since, and the price point can’t be beat!

Very usefull for lower tunings

I play in D-stanard and hate floppy strings. So these strings are perfect for playing metal in this tuning

Amazing strings

Well worth the price! After installing them in my Epi Emperor, the guitar started singing. Get them - you definitely won't regret that decision.

Great strings for D standard

I have been using these for years. Great for fat beefy riffs. They last long.

Ok folks. I bought 2 set 11's from each brand (the other brand is ernie ball) cause I wanted to tune down 2 of my guitars to D standard for a project. As fate wanted it these 2 guitars were identical (same brand, same pickups) so I decided to install one of each brand for an A/B comparison. After necessary truss rod adjustments we are back in business.

Sound related there was no any audible difference between these 2 sets, the only actual difference is the long lasting tone (ernie ball) after 3 months of use and the fact that ernie ball's have a smoother feeling in hands.

Best strings in the market, they never break, are extremely elastic and fell just really good under the fingers.

Great for aggressive rhythm at E standard

I've ended up using these for playing heavy metal at E standard tunings. It can take time for your fingers to adjust if you're used to more regular gauges, but the control you get and ability to really hit the strings without going out of pitch is killer. And D'addario strings are always quality.

My favourite fusion / jazz gauge

This is the set I used to use for almost a decade. Inexpensive, solid, blanced, without any particular frequences that may disappoint you. Comparing to other famous brands, for me, it’s tension seems to be tight enough to keep your tuning in a good condition for at least 3-4 gigs.

Great for D-Standard

Normally I always use 10-46's but to keep similar tension I switched to 11's for D-Standard. Same great quality as always with D'addario.

Excellent for drop C

These I use for drop C (and D standard) tuning on a Gibson scale guitar.

They hold tuning and brilliance very well.

The 52 is heavy enough to be down-tuned without excessive slackness and the overall tension makes them feel very sl@nky for bendings and runs.

Probably the best price/quality E-Guitar strings

Well built, very good sound and very good feel.

I doubt there's a better product even in the next higher price range.

Very satisfied with the purchase.

The Best.

These are my go-to strings. No doubts about it.

The feel and tone is unbeatable. Pure comfort. Security, quality and durability. The brightness lasts for ages (and more so with proper care). It keeps in tune longer than one can imagine, even with heavy hitting and bending. Ideal for heavy style, slow, fast or lightspeed shreding, funky, groovy, bluesy, you name it. And even being such heavy strings the brightness shines on the lower ones, the mellow twang on that G string is pure bliss, and the top ones deliver groovy, soulful and unmucky tone. Like I said, these are my go-to. I would never discontinue these puppies! If you're into Doom, Stoner, Drone or any kind of sludgy type metal, give these a try!

Very good for d-standard

I use these for D-standard, in occasional alteration with the comparable Balanced-tension set. I pick these over the BT when I need a little extra tension on the low end if I am exptecting to go to Drop-C.

the extra 002 on the low end helps keep things taught.

Unlike the BT set, however, the G and C (or A and D if you are standard tuning) strings already have a sizably higher tension than the low D (or E...) which offsets the above advantage in feel a little. It takes some getting used to switching between sets.

By and large I like the set. As always with D'Addario they sound fantastic, are wonderfully low-impact packaged with easily recycled plastic and cardboard in low quantities and seemingly last longer than you might expect. Will definitely buy again in the future - although I may add a thicker low string if I ever decide to keep a guitar permanently in dropped tuning.
