It does what it should do

Exactly as the headline says, it does what it is supposed to do. The other reviews talking about the buttons are right, they tend to get stuck. The build quality is bulky, but sturdy. It does its job.

Plain, simplest SPL meter. Easy to use.

It does what it was designed to do.

It's great!

Seems very good for the price. It seems durable and has good build quality and comes with a nice case to carry it around.

Precise

The meter is really huge physically, especially with the case, I didn't expect the size so be careful if you are looking for something elegant to carry in your jacket pocket.

Otherwise, it seems reliable and precise, it's my first SPL and I love all the different functions it has such as calculating the noise level of specific sounds where the meter will subtract the general "room" noise and make the calculations automatically for you. This can be really helpful in certain situations.

I have mainly bought it to be able to calibrate speakers and have consistency and a solid reference when working in different studios.

Before I was using an application on my iPhone and obviously, this meter is a better option.

Really easy to use

Device is really easy to use and intuitive even for beginner like me. Windshield is removable. Device itself is quite large, I expected it to be smaller but it's not too bad. Display is legible and backlight looks good. Device turns off itself after some time of inactivity which is nice especially since it's battery powered.

I used it mostly to SPL match two pairs of studio monitors and measure noise sources in room like fans etc.

Cheap and cheerful

Cheap and Cheerful bit of kit. But does what you want it to. Nice clear display. Instructions could be more detailed on some of the extra features this has but hey ho.

Handy SPL device

Great for church use if you are trying to aim for a consistent volume level each week during times of worship. Handy wee device that does what it says on the tin. My only complaint is that it uses 9v square batteries.

Easy to to use with a large clear backlit display

The SPL Digital Sound 8922 is very easy to use. It has a clear display (which can also be back-lit), is very accurate and works well for live sound or in the studio. I have setup my nearfield studio monitors and calibrated them to 75dBa with ease. It comes with it's own plastic carry case too!

Digital Sound 8922

Very goood quality. Really easy used for clubs and playgrounds. It deserves special mention the background noise suppression options. It can simplify the measurement process. Compared with other instruments it proved to be accurate in terms of factory calibration.

Very good for the price

It's a good deal. Good quality with enough features. Draining the battery little bit faster.

I use it in our HOW for reference only.
