Awesome!

This is the best guitar pedal for a bedroom studio. Play in whatever tuning you like without a need to retune. Highly recommended!

Instant downtuning

I feel like chances are, if you're here you're already quite dead set on its purpose. It's a staple for so many modern bands and artists for very good reason. Extremely convenient, and as evidenced by the many demos on youtube the sound quality is great.

I'll just skip to the cons I've experienced using this. Intuitively the lower you go, the quality drops, but it's negligible imo, and even less so in a full mix/live setting. This effect is also more pronounced if your guitar is already in a lower tuning. It is more noticeable in chords than in single notes. Additionally, it seems to affect the sustain of palm muted chords. If you use the octave function, you may start to notice some artefacting/aliasing, for my lack of better terms. Some have mentioned latency, but I've yet to face any issues in that regard.

That's about it, the problems are hardly notable, and it does literally everything else perfectly. If I ever lose this a thousand times, I would replace it a thousand times over.

A must for guitars with tremolo

For a bedroom guitarist this is a must have. Its the single most useful effect pedal. If you are like me, who loves learning songs for fun, you know how frustrating it can be when you want to learn a song but its in a different tuning, and now you either mess with your tremolo guitar for 10-30min to re-tune it and set it up or you just don't learn the song/riff... even if you have a fixed bridge the string tension will change so it wont be as good as whatever tuning your guitar is set up to.

This pedal is a game changer! It basically like having 5-6 guitars at once, because you can instantly de-tune your guitar with one click.

Now if you are in standard E you can de-tune all the way to A standard, but at that tuning i would say the sound quality is not that great. The lowest I can go that still sounds good is C# , I used that in a live setting and it was alright. Some will probably say that they can tell its de-tuned by an effect, but I still, i think its alright. If you just go to D# or D its basically impossible to tell that its de-tuned by a pedal.

However its still good for practicing, I often use it in B standard when i want to play some amon amarth songs, its great.

Its also great if you write a riff and you want to try how it sounds in different tunings.

One thing to note, is that if you use it for practicing at home, you still want the amp to be relatively loud because if its too quiet and you can still hear the natural sound of the strings, it can mess with your hearing.

In a nutshell, this pedal is a must have if you like practicing in different tunings even if you think the sound quality is not good enough for live playing.

Great price, tracks amazingly, great for rocksmith

I got this based on suggestions for rocksmith, I have 9-42s on my telecaster and tuning it down to even a d standard can be a really big stretch, it works amazing so far! Comes with a power adapter which is a nice addition.

Price is really good for Canadians, Prices can get really out of hand on pedals in Canada.

Saves a lot of time from tuning your guitar down

The pedal saves me a lot of time whenever I wish to switch the tuning of my guitar. Tuning from E standard to D takes literally a second, and I don't have to worry about breaking strings upon the actual tuning. Very useful.

Perfect for those who love to tune lower

Great product. Built well. As you go lower it doesn't track as well and the low end is not too tight. But as long as you drop it a few semitones it's like having a guitar in a different tuning! Perfect for my needs!

Solved all my problem

Ive got two guitars with floyds, and I hate having to detune and go down a full step with those. This takes all the headache away from dealing with down tuning your guitars. Total life saver.

Turn a guitar into bass!

I got to say this product is amazing!

I bought this for one project where I need a bass and tuning need to be B. First I thought that I buy bass for this specific project because I didn't own any before. But before bass purchase I decide to try this first.

No I'm running lowscale 24,75 guitar with 60-12 strings drop B tuning and with drop pedal I go one octave below. No latency, clear and accurate bass sound with basic electric guitar..

godd**m my band mates was little bit amazed when I show my setup and how fully bass sound it makes.

Also big (bonus) is, now I dont need to buy bass guitar :'D

Perfect droptune

Perfect if you want to play with different tunings and don't want to retune the guitar. For me there is almost no lag in input/output.

Top Quality Pedal

Perfect solution for guitarists who use multiple tunings.

Quick Response and Natural Feel.

Very little lag especially noticeable when playing quietly.

Avoid using with a lot of effects because it can alter the sound a lot.

Preferably placed first in the signal chain.

Highly recommend!

Momentary option on foot switch is very useful for some of the applications in which I'm using the pedal. Depending on the pitch of the input there can be some tracking issues but these are in very limited circumstances from my experience. Low profile is at the expense of some features but knew that ahead of purchasing the pedal. Personally have found best results placing the pedal ahead of my gain stages.

Super pedal for easy tuning options

Extremely happy with this pedal as it allows for instant drop tuning while playing.

Of course it does not sound EXACTLY as good as the real lower tuning on the same guitar but its 90% there, so more than good enough.

I use it for practice and recording via a USB interface and VSTs.

100% worth the price.

Superb!

I use the Digitech Drop for all situations, recording electric guitar, bass, for live gigs. Souds great, and doesn't have that familiar warble tone that other detuning and pitch pedals have.

Even on low tunings chords have clarity, and each string and tone is audible.

The construction is robust, metal casing, making it perfect for any situation.

All in all the best detuning/pitch pedal out there, definately worth the money!

Great octaver

Really handy for dipping into alternate tuning without requiring a different guitar, using the tuning knobs or even restringing.

The sound is a little bit "digital" though

Lovely product for anyone wanting to get into guitar and have ease of drop tunings on the same string guage.
