Good dependable strings

I've been using Ernie Ball bass strings for ten years now, recently I've took up guitar and I'm glad to see that their guitar strings are just as good.

There's not much to say about it, honestly - these strings are the baseline by which I judge other strings. Never been disappointed by them. Are they're the best thing ever? No. Are they mediocre? Also no. They're just good strings with a decent longevity, good tone, feel and quality, and at the end of the day it's what matters to me.

Ernie

Bought several packs this time and one of the packages seems to have been wedged somewhere and the strings are bent in several places.

As for the strings themselves, if you are here you know what to buy. It's Ernie Ball, nothing I can write that has not been said before. Always quality,

Just epic strings

Just great string. Been using them for years. Have used all kinds of strings but they are great. They deserve the name the industry's standard!!!

I use a lot of strings and sometimes it happens there's a bad string in the bunch. Ernie ball never lets me down dough! Can't recommend them enough.

Awesome strings

I just love Ernie Ball, to my ears they sound better than the D'Addario, when brand new they just have more harmonics and sound better. Been using this for years and had no issues. Wish i had one every week to put on my guitar, they just sound awesome when brand new, and than the harmonics start fading away, like every guitar string.

Good sound, but too much breakage

Now this may be specific to me and to my band mate, but we've been trying these out for some time and we're on the fence about these strings.

We both play fast Thrash Metal on guitars with floating tremolo bridges. These strings sound great, no doubt about that. But somehow they keep snapping. It's almost always the A string, sometimes the D string or the low E. Idk if this is specific to our play style and to the music genre, but this is a problem I never had with D'addario strings in the past for example, and since we both switched to the latter, the breakage problem mostly disappeared.

Standard for a reason

I bought these strings for a Burns guitar that comes from the factory stringed with 10's. Reliability is a huge factor for me and the Ernie Ball Slinky strings never failed me yet. Great tone, accessible anywhere you go.

Pros: Reliability, Availability

Cons: None

classic.

Been using these for decades, mainly when I was playing professionally. PLayed 8h a day they last two weeks and I very rarely had quality issues with these. Classic tool.

Excellent product, a standard for electric guitars by now.

Good strings for strat

I used these strings on a very old stratocaster my uncle gave me. The difference these strings made are dazzling. The entire instruments feels and sounds as new.

I do think the previous strings were a lower gauge, so I had to adjust to playing with this heavier gauge, but bending is still very doable.

I always buy Ernie Ball and I have never been disappointed.

My Les Paul's Go-To Set

Ernie Balls get the job done — they feel great and last long enough. The sound? I'm still not convinced strings make a big difference for electric guitars, as long as they're reasonably fresh. Sure, there's better strings out there. But for the money, they're perfect.

Perfect

Best strings in the industry (especially for standart tuning, I'd recommend the 10 52 for drop tuning).
