Ernie Ball 2627 Beefy Slinky Reviews
great strings!
i was used to other brands, however since i started tuning my guitar on C standard, i found these to be the perfect gauge strings for my requirements.
i really cant stop recommending them. they are also well-priced.
great product!
good strings
very low price and good sound, but these get old really fast if you play every day
Great Strings
My Jaguar Squire wouldn't stay in tune, So I put these on and now its plays 100x better. Only con is the Low E strings is super Beefy, not really needed if your not doing alternative tuning IMO.
Excellent strings drop tuning
Excellent string set for tuning down. Best I have tried so far.
The Best strings
Perfect gauge for drop d for my les paul
Great strings at a great price
Great strings. I use them for many years
Love it for Drop C and C standard
I love the feel and sound of this set. They're great for Drop C and C standard tunings on a regular scale. I'm using it for years now and I never disappointed.
Perfect if you like to drop
I use them for a guitar tuned in Drop-D, and I think it's the perfect choice if you like to have a good tension on the lower string. Sounds BIG!
Solid and good strings
I play rock and roll and hit the guitar pretty hard as well as bending strings almost to a limit. For some year now I have used Earnie Balls and the quality has been good, solid and constant. With some other brands I have had for example G string break during tuning up for the first time or even a D. Ernie Ball has been on the market for a long time and they sound like any other string. I just know that when I string up my guitar with Ernie Balls they will last and I feel safe.
Big sound but string wound tight, mostly the 3rd string
I prefer to use this in metal, jazz, or even fingerstyle. I usually play with my partner or alone. The sound good at strumming with clean tone. When I use acoustic VST it sounds close compare to thin string.
For metal, I adjust the bass knobs to min, because this string produces much bass and less treble than I used to.
Pros: Feels durable at the price IMHO. not sure if it is rusted quickly,
Cons: 3rd string is tighter compare the rest, it is also bigger that appear slightly lifted and the sound slightly low tone IMO.
Tips: This will be good if the action is low and the truss is loosen.
The best of the best
Simply the best strings available ! I've been using them for quite some time now and I'm not ready to change ! Gives you that big sound.
Go to set for my Explorer on D standard
I like to play some Mastodon riffs on my explorer, and this set makes the chugging exceptional.
Chunky and Deep
I bought these strings with thicker gauge to experiment with standard D tuning. Excellent sound and string definition
Great for detuning!
Great strings, they don't seem to break easily, I have only broken one in about 5 or 6 sets! Sound is good, only downside is, that they tend to rust pretty easily in my hands. I kinda have to go for a new set after 2 or 3 jams or gigs..
Heavy sound
I use guitar with half step down tuning and I wanted a heavy sound so these strings are a perfect match.
Good strings
I use them for drop c and they work beatifully for that
they rust a bit quickly maybe im just sweaty
tone is very bright and clear in the beginning until they start to wear out
so overal pretty good strings would recommend to clean the strings if you want to get the most out of them
