Lovely strings, great sound

Never buy a book by the cover but I bought these because of the 'heavy bottom' and they delivered!

My string of choice for hotter LP guitars

Love hybrid strings and I put this one on my Hot pickupped' LP guitars all the time. Love the definition and the body of the bass side, but the slinkier treble side. The treble side is not harsh! Unlike lot of the other competitors....

Very good for playing lower tuned music!

Looks super sleak when those strings fade from beefy to skinny.

Works on Drop B and A really well.

Only thing you might want to watch out for is snapping that 1st string since it is really skinny.

Love the feel and heft

i wanted to go between more tunings and this does the job perfectly. it sits really well in D# and D standard and i love how it sounds in drop C# but for me i think drop C makes the low string too loose and i might go up to a 54 gauge for that.

Best set I’ve tried

I have a heavy punch, so this set allows me to hit the riffs with my energy without being out of tone and still smooth while soloing.

I've been using these strings for a few years now. They feel absolutely amazing. I usually swap a lot between std E and drop D. At these strings are great for that. Not to floppy. Tried playing 9's and they are great, but I guess i got used to these to much, 9's felt a bit floppy and 11's felt a bit hard to play, these are just perfect middle. Also it is good to know that you could probably easily drop these strings to let's say std D and they still sounds and works good. One more thing - they last. Which is I think also important both for gigging guys and for guys at home, you can play with them, for a very long time.

Perfect for drop D

I have been using this string set for drop D for as long as I can remember. Extra heavyness of the lower strings is perfect for some solid metal chugging and the less thick thinner strings makes it easy to bend like a regular set.

Amazing set of strings for lower tunings. Perfect balance.

Favourite set for Drop D

I use this set on rhythm guitar in Drop D and love it. The extra thickness prevents the strings from going sharp if you pluck a bit harder. It might be a bit too heavy gauge for people who like to play a lot of solos... but that's not me :D

Powerful tone!

I've been using 10 - 46 strings for the last ten years, I believe. Didn't think that a slightly higher gauge would make such a difference, but boy it does. Just used them for the first time and couldn't believe how much filth and power my guitars can produce! I think these are going to be my go-to from now on!

Excellent and not the most expensive strings, good quality! I use it at a scale of 25.5, in a Drop C.

Great for D-Standard

I've always been searching a set of strings which will allow me to play in various tunings. This set is perfect for D, but you can tune it to E as well. If you are looking for something thicker than a standard sets (10-46 for instance), this might be really a great choice for you. (I don't use them now, cause I had continued getting lower and thicker :) )

Great set of strings if you downtune and like to bend.

I bought this set of strings for my Harley Benton SC custom II. Like all Ernie Ball strings, these last long and have a great tone to them. I can tune my guitar in standard D, C# and drop B without any problems. Of course I don't mind the looseness and if you are a hard hitting guitar player I suggest you consider thicker gauges for C# and below. Perfect for D standard, drop C , Eb and E standard if you have the cojones!

just perfect for C# tuning

brillance absolue

Best of both worlds

I like this set as it is a good compromise between the full heavy harmonics of the riffs and being able to bend the high strings like you do with regular strings during solo. Best of both worlds in one package.
