Evans 14" Hydraulic Black Snare 4-stars Reviews
Thud!
These Evans Hydraulic Black skins are great if you want a thicker sound to your snare and toms.
Fat drum head
Really like evans heads!
It looks good on Tama SLP Big black snare drum, and it sounds good.
I think it will last a long time.
very good not the best
The head is good and all but not the best out there to be completely true. The colour is the big shot here , if you are looking for a black badass head this is a really good choice though and the evans quality is not to be questioned , durable also not a bad pick at all
Good if you don'k like overtones.
I bought this as I wanted a snare head that would be a little quieter. I think the design of these heads ensures that they don't need much tuning experience which is a positive. However what you lose is that the head is not very bright or doesn't have a loud attack.
Nice and controlled
I was looking for a snare head I could tune pretty tight without having it ring out for ages. Even without any gel or dampening rings this head feels and sounds great. with a dampening ring on top it's perfect for me.
It also looks beautiful, even when the patch in the middle starts to show.
