Jensen C8R 4 Ohms
Based on 15 reviews
Purchased this jensen cr8 as a replacement for my Bugera V5 stock speaker. Bugera in there wisdom decided this amp should output at 4ohms...this made the search for aftermarket speakers somewhat slim...its this or a celestion. The stock Bugera was somewhat dark and never sparkled enough. But as soon as the Jensen was fitted it jumped into life, way more top end sparkle a brighter fuzzier breakup perfectly suited to the v5s single ended class A el84 vintage vibe. 2 weeks of break in allowed for the highs to smooth a little and the spaeker to really shine through. It was louder too as seemed way more efficient than the Bugera stock. Overall a very good upgrade and a must for this amp.
Celestion Vintage 30 - 16 Ohm
Based on 14 reviews
Overview: I bought 2 of these for a 2x12 cab I built based on their reputation and from demos. You really need to hear these in the flesh because listening to them via a recording really does them no justice, they sound fantastic. Compared to other speakers I own they're in a league of their own! They truly are a key ingredient in getting your perfect tone, I changed my pickups and amp head but these speakers really brought my sound to life. Sound: These speakers are 60 watt - 16 ohm, as stated in the product description. There's plenty of volume on tap and they're perfect for everything from blues to metal. The bass and mid response is simply perfect for my style, it fills out the room in a warm glaze of sound. The treble is cut back slightly leading to rich creamy highs that don't...

Using a pair of these in an open back cabinet powered off a small amp in stereo. With a Strat they really bring out the jangle and those elusive delicate qualities of the guitar. Delay, reverb and modulation effects come across well. The natural overdrive of the amp seems to work with the speakers to give a satisfying sense of edgy articulaton. They are bright and cutting and start working hard at a lower volume which is exactly what I was aiming at with this cabinet build. What anyone feels about a guitar speaker is quite subjective. The subtle differences are almost impossible to quantify even from the best demos. What it eventually boils down to is "do they make you want to play more?" These speakers "feel" good - I find myself enjoying the sound and wanting to play...
Celestion G12M-25 Greenback 16 Ohm

Brilliant is the only description I can give to this speaker. I needed a suitable speaker for my JTM45, so this was the obvious choice although I had considered the G12H also as it had a little more power. I was never quite happy with the speakers I had, they didn?t pair up well with the JTM45, somehow, no sparkle a bit bland sounding too much volume and poor tone. Within minutes of installing the G12M in the cab I knew it was the right speaker for this amp. Hendrix in spades, sparkly cleans with a small amount of break up, in fact just the right sound for any late sixties early seventies music. You can spend a lot of time and money looking for the right speaker, I will never look back, I?m glad I bought this one but obviously will have to buy another three to compliment it.
Jensen P10R-F

The Jensen P10R-F is simply an AMAZING speaker! Just amazing! I can't find a better word to describe it. I used it on a Blackstar HT-5 amp I never used to use and it has become one of my go to amps! It changed the whole character of the amp giving it a vintage Fender tone. It is very balanced and sounds more of a 12" speaker than a 10". A big tone, full of character that also made my amp more pedal friendly. The only con I can find which was a pro in my case is that it's not a very loud speaker. Don't get me wrong, it's not a speaker you can't gig with, it's just a little bit quieter. I loved this factor because it went inside a home amp and I can now raise the amp volume a tiny bit. Don't let this make you avoid the speaker though! I honestly can't recommend it enough...
Jensen C12K Ceramic Vintage 8Ohm

I have used many amps over many years and one of my all time favourites is the Fender Deluxe Reverb usually with bass and treble set at mid position - 12 o'clock. (I'm not one to turn everything up to "number 11"). The only downside is the lack of a middle control, but the sound is so good I don't really miss it. The stock speaker in current re-issues is the Jensen C12K. This is to me the best choice for wide frequency coverage from low bass to silky smooth highs - without painful and cutting punchy high mids! The frequency response curves show that even the C12N 50 Watt has slightly more punch above 3kHz. I've been trying different speakers in a Fender Blues Junior - Cannabis Rex (supplied with the amp), P12R, P12Q, - none of which had sufficient low bass response. - The...
Jensen P12N Alnico Vint. No Bell 8Ohm

The Jensen "reissues" seem to get a lot of negative reviews on various guitar forums. The general critisism seems to be that they are too bright and don't sound like the original 60 year old Jensens. A few people seem to love them though and claim that an unusually long breaking in period is why so many people dislike these speakers at first glance. After spending almost 100 hours with this speaker I can confirm that breaking in has a HUGE impact on the sound. More so than on most other guitar speakers I have used. I'm using mine as a replacment in a Fender Musicmaster Bass Amp (but obviously use it only for guitar, not bass). It sounds absolutely fantastic. It's definitely has a sound that may not be everyones favourite but personally I love it. If I was to describe the...
Jensen P12R Alnico Vintage 8Ohm
Based on 3 reviews
Jensen is the classic amp speaker for Fender and several other classic American amps makers. This speaker is durable, sounds vintage, looks great (super cool replacement in a classic amp) and lives up to is name. Jensen built it's name on quality, and you can count on this speaker. Reminder, it is important to mount the correct speaker for your amp. If you are making an extension cabinet, don't settle on cheap wood. It will effect the sound of the speaker, Make sure to buy a quality built cabinet for a speaker of this caliber. I can highly recommend this speaker to someone looking for a classic vintage sound.

Do not red forums about these speakers becouse you will get a wrong picture about these spreakers. I bought two of these and a couple of C12Q, installed them today and was blown away by the sound. I put one of each kind in my DIY amp and dte sound is amazing, expecialy considering they aren't even broken in yet. I had a couple of Celestion Bluebacks in the combo and way prefer sound of these, so do not listen to those suckers on forums who keep on saying that Jensen reissue speakers are bad and not worth buying.
Celestion G10 Creamback 8 Ohms

I have installed this speaker in my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe II, as a replacement for a Vintage 30 12". My goal was to get a better, livelier sound at low a volume level. The V30 sounds a bit dull and muddy and I reckoned that a smaller speaker would require less energy to come alive. I'm very pleased that it worked out really well, the speaker has a very precise low-end and a nice chime. Even at a low volume level. I never play loud, so I can't let you know how it compares at high volume levels. I also tried the G12M-65, the sound is somewhere inbetween the V30 and G10, however I preferred the G10. I'm using an attenuator to reduce the volume, so I can turn up the amp volume a bit. (The tubes/valves of the power-amp require a decent signal amplitude in order to create the pleasant...
