Cheap and cheerful

These stands will not take a lot of wear and tear and can come apart quite easily at the tightening mechanism on the main shaft, which is fixable but a little awkward. They serve well for lightweight jobs, for example jobs requiring a lot of mic stands and at the price they can be incredibly useful.

Fine.

Bought to use for drum overheads perfect for that use as they don't move much. I wouldn't recommend for gigging as where the boom meets the top of the main pole is narrow and looks very weak. Likely to break if thrown around in the back of a van. Conclusion: fine if not being moved around much.

It works as well as it should. However the piece where the boom arm connects to the vertical stand is a thin piece of metal or whatever, so it bends and feels like sooner than later it'll break.

I know the price I payed for it. But this is a design flaw that'll make it unusable in the short term.

Completely Adequate

I know I did not give this product five stars, but hear me out. This stand does fall on its side when you try to set it at a right angle and extend the arm, under the weight of a standard mic. Having said that, this is a very easy and cheap fix. Just tie a 1-2kg weight plate (that will set you back about 5 euros) at the bottom and it won't move at all. After this mod it's completely usable. You don't actually need to use a plate but I would recommend it because it's a cheap solution, they are symmetrical and most often than not they are black so the colors will match. But you can use anything you want, even a pack of paper. So unless you want to buy an extremely good stand for heavy duty use in a professional studio, there is no need to spend more money on sth more expensive.

It works if you don't touch it

This will do the job. But if you even breathe on the stand it wants to tip over. Not awful, but if you can, save yourself the headache and get a quality stand.

Easy gets bent, but good for its price

Not very resistant, but good for the price.

A nice stand for starters, can't handle a heavier microphone, but works fine.

You can't expect better for this money.

Plastic parts are terribly fragile, tubes are made of tin ... If you want to buy for children, then look for something stronger. This tripod will only last long if you don't touch it with your hands. Requires very careful handling.

Don't use it with expensive mic...or heavy mic. With others light and cheap mic's is good :D

This is an entry level mic stand. It is as cheap as it can get. However, I must say that 2/3 months after I bought it it was already damaged on one of the "feet". So, it's not a great stand but it works, specially if it is to stay still.

Great price, average quality

Of course having in mind the price, you can't ask too much from the product. But I have to say overall feel is that it's a little bit weak and not very stable. If you use it, for example, as drum overheads stand and don't touch it too much, then it should be fine. Though, I don't recommend trying to use it for vocals mic, as too much usage might broke it eventually.

very light stand

Great price but it can't hold a dynamic mic at 90 degree angle with the boom fully extend.

Not bad

A little too light, its great to move around but sometimes looses balance with heavier microphones.

It's materials are ok, plastic connections feel like they may last for a fair amount of time in my studio where there is no abuse.

I would never take this to a gig, as it will not last a month on the road.

For light use at home and such, go for it!! Great choice I am happy with it.

Good for light use, wouldn't trust it for live

I got this stand to check it out since it is so cheap. If it weren't for a couple annoying things I would say it is kind of a bargain. The annoying stuff is first you will probably need an adapter if you regularly swap mic clips, because it comes with 5/8" thread as noted, which isn't the most common thread (at least in europe) in my experience. Second, the center extendable part (the one you adjust for height), while feeling secure, it is a bit wobbly because it looks like the thinner pipe just grinds against the bigger outer pipe. That might not be a big deal if the stand is stationary on a stable floor, but on a bouncing floor it might cause bumping noises in the mounted mic. I use this in a rehearsal/project studio for a drum overhead mic, but the floor is tiled with thick carpet on top, so it doesn't bounce at all.

Honestly being that cheap I was prepared for the worst but it is actually a decent stand for light use and if you don't abuse it a lot it seems like it will last. The plastic feels ok, its parts don't look like they will break after a few turns and it's also not a pain to adjust it if you need to. It can hold some weight too actually and without the need to crank the screws to oblivion, which is sometimes an issue even with much pricier stands. If it's stationary it will certainly hold up for long, but even if not, I feel it would be ok to use in a rehearsal space if you're careful. I wouldn't trust it much for live use because life on stage for stands is tough :D. Perhaps some light use in something like a school play would be ok though. I might consider getting a couple more of these for rehearsals at some point.
