Good cheap solution for most use cases

Stand was pretty stable near the centre would be fine for a typical live vocal, but became increasingly more unstable as you try to mic things up further from the centre of the stand or use more of the upper arm, e.g. amps, acoustic guitar or around obstacles Limits the ability to do minor adjustments for risk of stand tipping.

I bought the Fun Generation Mic Stand 4 months ago with the intention of having something for rehearsal and recording and works very well, have no problems to date, the quality of the mic stand is not great but do the work very well..

Functional and cheap

Perfect for my home studio, not a stand I would use for gigging.

Surprisingly good

Based on reviews and the price I wasn't expecting very much from this stand. However I was very pleasantly surprised when I recieved it. The build quality is decent enough. I thought it would be thin and wobbly but it's actually quite good. Is it the best stand in the world? No. Does it do what I need it to do? Absolutely.

Obviously not heavy-duty, but if you just need something simple & cheap to hold up your mic (stationary), this is it.

My only concern is how long the mechanism will last.

OK so let's be honest. You're not going to be doing any world tours with a mic stand this cheap. But for a rehearsal space or the occasional gig it's fine. Not the most sturdy Mic stand I've ever used, but on a budget this will get the job done. Excellent value for money.

Pretty good quality, but a bit lacking otherwise

I don't have anything bad to say about build quality, usability and stability, reliability overall, but it lacks the modularity of a screw on boom arm, making me feel like I will avoid these.

If you just need a stand to make a quick, simple home setup, this does it, but I wouldn't recommend it for your average musician mic stand "collection".

this mic stand is very good value for money. It's solid, but it can't handle a heavy mic with an acoustic shield.

Good stand, reasonable price, works well. Usuall cheap stuff are bad, but it is not.

Cheap and cheerful!

Extremely cheap, but very reliable for home studio.

Not sure if I would recommend using for live gigs, can be knocked over easily, as they are very light.

Overall, I am not disappointed.

Much better than second hand more expensive mic stands. Budget material, but good enough for semi pro as me, or as a backup for more serious musicians.

Great price for a mic stand

Excellent price, does what it needs to do, only negative is the tool is quite plastic light (which is a good thing for portablity) and a bit flimsy and so may not be ideal for heavy use in stage work or heavy use in studio work for mounting heavy microphones or Iggy Pop...

I doubt it would last if it gets put in and out of bags constantly, but for light use it's ideal. All the joints are solid

Decent stand for a low price

It is not an old fashion built like a tank stand, but is cheap, durable enough and very light. I have use it for gigs and buskin for 3 years and still alive and kickin.

For the money, you can't ask for too much. But this is certainly a mic stand and it certainly holds mic! Didn't want more than that and I didn't get less.

It is obviously a budget stand - and I find that is reflected in the build quality. The point at which the centre extension pole meets the tightening clamp for the room is a structural weak point and I've found mine has become a bit loose/bendy over time.

The stand doesn't happily support heavier microphones (SM7B, ribbons, etc...) but that is unsurprising and will not impact its efficacy for the vast majority of users.

Perfect for novices and people who own venues and need a couple dozen of these kicking around.
