great value pedal

Great value pedal, sturdy, well made.

Easy to use (even for a novice)

Good range of control and tones, dual power options.

This is my third HB effects pedal, it complements the other two nicely. I use them with a smaller amp where the in-built effects are poor and cause breakdown of sound. these little guys compensate for that and work great.

Price is great!

Great Recording Sound

This is a great recording tool. Good for live use as well. This and the American one.

Very impressed.

This is a great pedal.

It has enough adjustability to give a great range of tones & makes my modest amp sound much more impressive. The 3 band EQ controls give you the ability to have a great variety of sounds & if you balance the voice & drive controls, you can get a very expensive sound from a less expensive amp!

When you take the price into consideration, this pedal is fantastic value.

Harley Benton British TrueTone

WoW! For me this has to be one of the useful (2nd only to the amazing American sound pedal) and most versatile Harley Benton pedals I have (and I have quite a few!) It can be used as a simple overdrive in front of the amp or as an amp simulator at the end of the signal chain or in the effects loop. The ability to shape amp voicings to emulate different Marshall type tones is vast and the quality of sounds on offer is amazing, let alone at the price. Even if you have a simple but decent transistor amp, this will get you some pretty convincing drive tones. At the price, you'd be mad not to have one of these in your pedal armoury.

Great British tone, for a great price

I should have rated every part 5 stars at this price, but I want to be realistic too.

Pots and switches could feel a little 'stronger', and there's a little bit of background noise at higher levels, but for the price, this is a fantastic pedal!

No more back breaking tube heads!!!

If you are a gigging musician that likes to travel light and you would like some Marshall-ish tones for your performances look no further! This little box will give you a very nice approximation of those tones, tunable to your liking thanks to the very effective EQ knobs and at pretty much any level you please (no, your neighbours won't call the police again!). It takes pedals very well (as long as you keep an eye on the levels, you don't want to push the input too hard), it has built in cabin simulation and through a decent DI box most audience members won't be able to tell it's not a mic'ed up amp, let alone that you won't have to deal with badly mic'ed cabinets anymore! I highly suggest you use it with a compatible power adapter as it will eat through batteries quickly.

Great value for money, great sound!

It would be great if the pedal had a cabinet simulator bypass switch, but even like that the sound is really really nice - had no problems quality-wise!

Update : The switch started failing after two months. The sound is great for the price, but my Tech 21 Liverpool is of much higher quality (and the foot switch is super smooth) so decide on how you spend your money :)

A nice Marshall sound comes with nice price

This is an easy to use unit where you can get your choice of Marshall tone easy and quick. This is an amp simulation pedal where you can use it direct to soundcard. You can get many sounds from one pedal. It works good with noise gate, chorus, flanger, wah and other effects. I am sure this unit will find a place on many guitarists' pedal boards within a short time. Low, mid and high pots really acts as active eq. pots in case to get you the right sound easily. Voice pot raises the amount of tube character and drive pot is the amount of drive as we know it. The guitar sounds differs from other instruments in the mix where you don't need to use too much plug in to make it bright at the mix. Because this pedal emulates the Marshall characteristics very well; a noise gate can be used while recording direct if you are cranking the character and drive pots to maximum. Great sound at nice price.
