Excellent guitar

I cannot believe I'm getting this good sound from a guitar this cheap! And it even has a decent pickup to boot.

Great guitar for the price

This guitar have really good and rich sound. When I got it the setup was ok, it was ready to play. Only thing that is not so good are tuning machines-it's a bit hard to put guitar in tune precisely. Everything else is great.

Really good for that price

I didn't expect anything special for that price. I think it sounds good, with a good set up and elixir strings this is the best buget acoustic guitar ! I recommend this !

Best buy for money

I own a lot of acoustic guitar in different price ranges, and I bought this one just for a backup guitar or a prty guitar. You know. If the wine spill up you don?t even bother. Oh man was I wrong. I am also a guitar teacher and I found myself using it daily when I teach or to borow it to my students. I also do lots of acoustic shows and in most cases I take it with me for a back up guitar for my Lag or Yamaha transacoustic main guitar.

The craftmenship is almost as good as my 300-500¤ price range acoustic guitars. There are obious drowbacks (freet work, tuners), but man what can you expect in this price range.

The sound is preaty solid. Acousticaly and eletrified. The same, pick up is not out of this world but preaty damn good for the money.

Would highly recomemned to every body who wants a budget guitar but with a great tone or whoever just needs a cheap back up acoustic guitar or a party guitar that you don?t mind scrach

Great buy

Worth the money. Build quality and sound quality is too good. Probably the best buy in this price range. Most importantly, I product had a long way to travel to me (from Germany to Finland) and the quality of packaging is praise worthy. I found it sound and intact.

Amazing bang for the buck

Good quality and craftmanship.

Really good sound both accustic and electric.

The set up is fine, easy to play with intonation spot on.

Chineese luthiers are getting good. Should scare US and European manufactorers with guitars in a whole other pricerange!

Cons: Not the best tuners I have encountered, but the guitar stays in tune.

I didn't expect how great it will sound at that price range.

For over five years I had an amazing dreadnought guitar from Yamaha, that was worth 8 time as much as this guitar, and I really enjoyed playing it. However, when I was moving abroad, I had to sell some of my guitars, and I had to part with this amazing instrument. I am trained classical guitarist and steel string guitar is not a priority in my guitar arsenal. Recently, however, I wanted to experiment with different types of guitars, and try different sound arrangement with jazz, steel-string and bass guitars. Harley Benton proved to be a positive surprise in the past, which is why I decided to give a go to this guitar, while buying a semi-hollow electric guitar.

WOW! I was really surprised by this guitar when it came. It sounds amazing! It also looks really well. There is no negative feedback I can give to the acoustic side of this guitar. In 18 years of playing guitars, I have never encountered such an extra-ordinary price/value ration. If you are looking for well-sounding acoustic guitar, just go for it. At that price you don't have much to loose.

I am less enthusiastic when it comes to pickups. They are OK, but not as great as the rest of the guitar. Nice to play around with them, but could use an upgrade for professional music playing. The controls are made from rather cheap plastic, which really stands apart from the rest of the guitar. However, for a bit under 80 euro this is not a thing to complaint about. It is also a great idea for a gift, that will stun those who will get it.

Rather impressed

Not sure what I was going to get from this but took a punt anyway. Not much money if it was going to turn out to be rubbish. When it turned up it was well packaged and there was no damage. The guitar itself was almost in tune from the box and it plays quite nicely. It's my first acoustic (electric player for 19 years) so don't have a reference point for the sound quality, but I think it sounds great and the action and neck relief was excellent. The intonation was also perfect.

If you were a beginner it would not really need much doing to it to get learning some chords. As I'm going to be doing some lead work and bending strings it could do with a fret polish and fretboard oil but these are minor points really. I'd expect to have to setup a cheaper guitar anyway. Strings are a bit junky, but what do you expect for no-name factory ones. When I strip it down I'll be putting some better ones on.

Tried out the electric interface and all works as expected. Not sure on the sound quality as I find all electro acoustic (on recordings) to be a bit "plastic" sounding. Sounds like the aforementioned others I've heard so can't complain. Also came with the battery for the pre-amp!

Overall very happy indeed.

Good guitar for this money.

Very quite impressed with the quality and sound of this guitar. Guitar still has some kind of flaws, like the strings are a bit high, but that can be easily fixed. Overall I rate this guitar very good as I did not expect to get such a good product for such a small price.

Astounding

Use: 2nd acoustic for a chap who is a bass player and occasional strummer.

The bottom line: Astounding.

In a little more depth: I am (I think quite often rightly) a touch wary of rapturous online reviews - although I have given my fair share of them on here because I have only rarely found something I have bought not to be excellent, or at the very least more than acceptable. This instrument has many heroic reviews praising its utter fantasticness. In a nutshell it deserves them. At twice the price it would be a bargain. It simply sounds and plays astoundingly well for a starter/basic instrument. I may be disbelieved, but I bought this to replace a Yamaha APX700 with which I had never really gelled - the action was too high and I couldn't get it lower, it was uncomfortable to play and didn't sound especially good either acoustically or plugged in. This amazing guitar does. I use the acoustic or clean setting on my Boss Katana - lovely. It looks pretty good too, very few tiny glitches in the finish you need to look very hard to find. The only gripe is that there is no built in tuner, but hey so what? Mainly because it stays in tune so well too. The machine heads are lovely too. Really there is pretty much no end to the good things to say about this instrument. If you are after a good western guitar that is in addition amazing value for money then just buy one of these. Astounding!

A good proud , excellent value for money

I have had this guitar for roughly 2 years now , and i have to say i still play it all the time and have no urge to upgrade any time soon.

When played acoustic the guitar sounds great and is very comfortable to play

When played through an amp the guitar sounds a bit weak and tinny , but i didn't expect much more from this guitar so i don't mind , It is important to note that it still plays good plugged in , but that this is the only major con in the product

My only complaint in terms of build quality is that the nut that holds the input jack unscrews itself every few months and falls off , this has happened 4 times since i got the guitar and it is rather annoying

all in all i still think that this was a good buy and i have no regrets

Just Stunned at how good this is for the price.

I really wasn't expecting much for the price, but from the minute I opened the box I was impressed.

The build quality is exceptionally good at this price point. The overall tone of this guitar is not far off my C F Martin DX1, which cost me over £600 three years ago. The only thing I have done so far is to lower the action and change the strings, but that is my personal preference. Tuners seem good and its stays in tune well. The Bridge pickup seems to work fine, although I've not rigorously tested it as yet.

I showed it to my brother-in-law, who plays professionally in a band and he had not heard of the Harley Benton brand and thought it was American. When he'd finish playing it I asked him how much would you pay for one of these. He paused for a second or two and said £400 to £500. He was blown away when I told him it was £76 shipped to the UK. The next day he phoned me to say he had just ordered one.

A great second guitar which wouldn't let you down taking to a gig.

Go buy one, you won't be disappointed.

Good

It's a cheap guitar so obviously the tones aren't going to be amazing, but for the price it sounds just fine. It sounds like an acoustic, it looks good and it plays fine. The only thing I changed was I tightened the truss rod a little bit.

The finishing isn't perfect, but it's not noticeable unless you look very closely. If you look closely you can see many imperfections which is to be expected with such a cheap guitar.

Haven't had any problems with it, would recommend

The best I have seen at this price!

This is the best guitar I have played under 300 euros! And considering that I paid less than 100¤ I can only say GREAT!

I have an expensive one. So I wanted to buy a cheap one for my trips to Africa. I was stunned by the quality and sound of this guitar that did not touch the 100 bucks line.

Of course you can find better guitars but you need to pay three times this price at least.

The finishing is a bit chinese, but buy an Epiphone at 450 euros and you are buying a chinese product anyway.

Action was good

Intonation was good

Tuners they make the job

Sound good to better

Playability strings need replacement

I recommend it without doubts

Great Product

I purchased this guitar for a beginner. I was very surprised when it arrived. The quality was perfect. This guitar is easily comparable to some guitars that are a couple of hundred euro more expensive. If you are a beginner looking for a guitar this is the ideal start up. It would also be suitable for a back up guitar for an intermediate player.

The electronics in this are also very good.

Without a doubt the best guitar at this price range.

Highly recommended!

Budget but great

All that was needed was a slight adjustment to the action and played like a guitar worth a lot more, well worth the money AA++

Great guitar! To begin with appearance. Complaints on it there. Guitar Looks very nice, especially if you do not use an adhesive label in the form of drops. That's all for the mind. Sound chic for your money! I put immediately Martin 11th phosphor-bronze. The sound is incredible. Priyanymi rich overtones. Long enough. Suitable for beginners fingerstyle guitarists learning. The sound through the amplifier turned out pretty decent, too. Guitar good value for money for any budding guitarist. Also suitable and just amateurs that guitar just a way to spend a pleasant time, but not a specific hobby or job.

A Very Good Choice!!!

I bought this product in order to play at little gigs. And, far as i know it has done a very good job. The quality of the instrument was what surprised me the most. For example, the color of the product, maybe because of the light, is very different from the image shown. But, a very good feature, besides it didn't had scratches and dents, so i think it's very important to share. When i'm playing like bluesy or mellow songs it is able to sustain the sound and thats it's what i like. For this reasons, i highly recommend it.
