It's OK

It's a compressor. It's OK. I'm not blown away by it, but not disappointed either. Good for the money, but maybe just lacking something.

Fantastic quality and value for money

I wasn't expecting anything amazing from this pedal, but I was pleasantly surprised by what I got. The first thing is that for the price you get an actual mechanical footswitch. You don't even get that from BOSS pedals these days, so that is a very nice feature. When you press it, you get a really bright red LED lighting up, which is definitely something that would be useful in a stage setting.

As far as the sound is concerned, it's perhaps not as geared towards bass as I wanted it to be. You definitely get more of a squeeze on the very low frequencies, which in turn makes it hard to make up enough gain with the level knob to get the rest of the frequencies heard if you turn the sustain knob up too high. But for what I paid for this piece I think it's excellent value for money.

Oh yes, Compressor!

One of the pedals you don't know you need until you try one. For acoustic guitar recording more then useful. For electric guitar it has its unquestionable place at my pedalboard (just after the tuner). Google it if you don't know what compressor do, or buy one for this super price and play with it for yourself. Its alway on pedal. Nuff said.

Great Value

I'm not a big pedal user but this one is great. Lots of different tones and sounds to play with and great value for the money.

Great Compressor for an unbeatable price

Im so happy with this purchase. Its a great compression pedal with a solid casing. Cant beat the price. Excellent delivery time as usual.

I don't get it?

As we all know compressors are hard to define but this pedal is totally useless. It's a shame as I have many Harley Benton pedals and gear and on the most part I am very happy with the quality and sound. This pedal is pointless.

Compression without depression

This pedal is superb.

I've used many other name models, but this one just gets on with the job - for a price you can't beat.

I use it live on a weekly basis on the effect loop of my acoustic amp. It's sturdy and noiseless and is subtle as heck.

Harsh round the edges

good little compressor but it`s sweet spot is at pre 11o`clock anything above that it starts painting a picture in a frame really..

Great bang for the bucky

I needed some kind of compressor for my clean sound always lower than the overdrive or the saturated sound.

So I thought of a compressor (a most have in the rig too), I wasn't ready to invest a lot of money in it, I would rather invest in some other effects. My research leaded me to this one and I'm very happy about it.

Great for that money

Simple to use, sounds good.

Ideal for people who like to experiment with sound, but don?t want to invest a lot of money.

Thumb up!!!

Good basic compressor

This pedal gives you everything you need from a basic compressor: less dynamic range, tighter response, more sustain and more control over your pick attacks. It does all these things well, It is completely silent and is also built very well.

This is especially true for single coils - for humbuckers I prefer a compressor with a bit more subtlety and maybe also a tone knob, but this already implies a higher price range.

For its price the Harley Benton Dynamic Compressor is an excellent pedal. If all you need is a bit more of an even sound, this compressor will give you exactly that for a ridiculously cheap price.

Good price, mediocre pedal

It barely compresses, very weak. Although for 30 Euros while being able to take a battery, it will suit anyone willing to trade a weaker compression pedal for less cost. Try it out and find out if you like it.

Excellent Compressor Pedal (for the Price)

Very transparent compressor pedal, with just enough adjustment possibilities and very low on noise. I don't think there is any better even for the twice the price of this pedal.

Very Good Pedal

Just purchased this pedal...and I use it a lot.

It provides good sustain and matches well with overdrive...

The pedal looks very solid on its enclosure.

Very useful..

I would encourage anyone to have one like this.

Great compressor!

I've had this for over 4 years now, and have never had any problems with it! It replaced my Boss CS-3 comp, and the HB/Joyo is just as good if not better.

worthy addition to your pedal board

Really pleased with this pedal - the width of the controls is slightly smaller than the big name equivalent, but the sound quality is spot on. If you're toying with the idea of getting a compression pedal, you'll be happy with this one.

Decent / Great for the price

I'm using this between my Mexi Strat and my Vox Lil' Night Train amp. It's a very "bright" combination, and this compressor helps attenuate this a bit. The effect is very subtle, you'll have to play around with the controls a bit and see how it affects the sound to get an idea of what it really does. Also works great as a boost for when you need that extra oomph.

+ Sturdy build

+ True bypass

+ Versatile (can be used as a boost)

+/- Subtle, transparent compression (Some might favour this, others might want compression that is a bit more "coloured", depends on the individual preferences)

Minor cons:

- Mediocre switch (for comparison, my TC Electronic Ditto looper has much smoother action and very quiet "click" when stepping on it)

- I've seen prettier pedals :)

Does a great job for the price, though maybe not the best introduction to the realm of compression for beginners. Overall, a good product for a bedroom player as myself.

Great value for money

I've never used a compressor before, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. What I was *after* was a pedal that would help sustain - I know this isn't exactly the ticket, but the rather good sustain pedal I home-brewed once upon a time has long since been lost, along with the circuit diagram :-(

This pedal *does* help sustain - and does so much more, all in a very subtle and unobtrusive way - there are no sudden 'jumps' in sound effect - although it does clip effectively, should you want that. Attack adjusts the clipping factor, Sustain does a little bit of that and Level gives the signal a boost.

It's sort of like a signal booster with a bell and whistle - nice little pedal and great for the price. Put it at the start of your chain....

I like it!

This does not bear a fancy name/brand on its face but I find its sound to be very close to many more expensive options on the market. I like it, I would maybe not use the scorpion theme but who cares. :)
