A pedal with an identy crisis

Am I a compressor or a clean boost? For sure I am a waste of money!

I don't get it?

As we all know compressors are hard to define but this pedal is totally useless. It's a shame as I have many Harley Benton pedals and gear and on the most part I am very happy with the quality and sound. This pedal is pointless.

Harley Benton Dynamic Compressor

Bought this on a whim really, was still searching for the optimum tone and thought this could help. However I could never find a right use for it, it colours the sound heavily, some might like it but it wasn't for me. Also seems to emit a constant high pitch frequency when engaged which clearly isn't ideal.
